it really adds a nice density to any mix i've tried it on so far .. even putting it on the mixbus on a reasonably sparse mix filled things in very nicely.

So what happens if you keep putting the same plug-in on top of each other? does it get louder and louder without flattening the signal?

    Neutral network :D

I felt the same way but I prefer what ai-clarity did to the vocals I used it on yesterday vs soothe and and dseq3, extremely smooth and suppressed without a change in tonality. And none of the comb filtering of soothe when pushed hard

Note that you can also use the gain at the bottom right of this plugin. That, however, can make it hit thru the ceiling..

I was hoping it was just reducing the dynamic range in a transparent way.... Like AI compression..... Like saturation and soft clipping.... There's already plenty for that.... Transparent would be more awesome in my opinion

At first glance this seems similar to Oxford Inflator but using "AI." Is that a fair statement?

That was my first thought. I wonder how they compare.

Inflator is basically a clipper. Look for a video called FREE SONNOX OXFORD INFLATOR
This AI plugin does more but i don`t know what. In my ears it „rebalances“ and lifts the density a bit but automatically (after you let it „listen“ to the mi).
Like an automated upwards expansion in a way. Reminds me of the „Focus“ slider on the Ursa Dsp Boost plugin but in automated manner and it never goes too far as far as i tested it. Its a safe way of adding subtle density imho

Sorry but inflator is better, and funnily enough is so darn ancient, and unlike this can produce massive clean loudness whilst actually DECREASING peak levels! No comparison. This one is not a winner. It's just a saturator and was increasing peak levels slightly at lower settings, it has to really be driven to maintain them. You can do that with inflator but you can also go crazy, that's the difference, and it's just as easy to use. Another one is Waves Magma Tubes. Crazy good but that has a strong character (often desirable).

It's not about mixing, it's just a inflator.
