All I'm saying is that it was Camille who first saw the good in him. She saw Klaus as a person and NOT some monster or the great evil. Camille brought out the best in him. Then he met Camille, who knew how to teach him how to love someone else more than himself. But by then, it was too late for the both of them (well, at least according to the writers and Plec).

It's true that Klaus loved Caroline. No one is taking this away from Klarolline shippers. It's a fact.
All I'm saying is that it was Camille who first saw the good in him. She saw Klaus as a person and NOT some monster or the great evil. Camille brought out the best in him. She didn't give up on Klaus and was patient with him. Klaus trusted Camille blindly more than he did himself.
Hayley even said that: " I can't stand him but I figured if he liked you then he can't be that bad"
It was after Camille's death that Hayley's faith in Klaus strengthened along with trusting him as a person, friend and to be Hope's dad. This further bettered him as the good person he already was as seen by Cami.
Fact: Cami brought out the goodness in Klaus, Hayley guided him and his unconditional love for Hayley moulded him into the better man he turned out to be in the end.
PS: Just saying, Yes he did love Caroline and vice versa but Klaus and Cami were IN love with each other(they were soulmates). Also he did love Hayley so did Hayley but as Best friends and Hope's parents. Klaus had UNconditional love for Hope(Klaus biggest positive impact)

Klaus loved Caroline, but he was not mature enough yet to really change his ways. He could be selfless for her, but no one else. Then he met Camille, who knew how to teach him how to love someone else more than himself. And it was only after he learned that kind of love from Camille, that Klaus became the kind of man worthy of Caroline. But by then, it was too late for the both of them (well, at least according to the writers and Plec).
