- Hey Peeps! I really couldn't form cohesive sentences today 🤣 but I hope I get my meaning across! I really enjoyed making this skirt, it was a lovely project to get done in the afternoon after my very productive morning! Feeling very virtuous.

Lovely skirt, it has good solid color shirt possibilities, and, with the tie shirt, you won't need a belt!
The skirt is lovely.A top using the beach pyjamas pattern would look fab
The skirt looks lovely and really suits you. FWIW, I think the patterns work well enough together and don't clash - at least on my screen. If you added, say, a cardi in either black or that deep pinky-red colour the overall effect could be nice and interesting in the same way as your green and black Zimmerman. But it will of course go easily with lots of plain colours. I think a fine white linen shirt would make a lovely contrast with the fabric, while darker colours would be more complementary.
Looking forward to the bag videos. I got a huge amount of use from the Carter bag I made at one of your retreats and would happily make another. Even better if it was slightly larger. Thank you, Sian!
My eyes were so confused 🤪😂. I love the skirt great job 👍
How cool, the night I get to finally watch RUclips and play catch up I see you made this BEAUTIFUL skirt 😍😍. .I'm sooo happy you love that fabric and was able to make something you look with it. It's beautiful Sian😘
It's so gorgeous thank you for sending it to me! I still have your present ready to be sent (I am the worst procrastinator!) I think I'm going to need your new address now?! 😊
That skirt is beautiful!
💜💜💜 so happy to see you feeling better. I like the way you've started having a overlay of you talking while your showing us the satisfying sewing scenes ☺️
Same 😊 very clever editing.
I so appreciate that you try on your makes, no matter what you are wearing. Just like I do at home! 😂
It’s the law!!! You have to 🤣
@@KittenishBehaviourSian agreed! 😂
Im super excited for the Annette video this weekend! That is my favorite pattern to sew right now. So it will be great to try the differences that you will be sharing.
Lovely skirt. I think it would be great with a solid black shirt. But I know whatever you pair with the shirt will look nice.
It’s a beautiful skirt and it will go really well with a tie front shirt. I even think a plain black one will let the print shine more on the skirt.
I’m very interested to see how the Carter turns out sized up. I love the style of the bag but when I looked at the measurements, I got a serious case of head tilt because style and size just wouldn’t go together in my mind. ❤️
Oh Sian THANK YOU THANK YOU. For taking time out to show the inside of your skirt finishes. I consider you to be an expert on finishing and getting to see what you mean when you say you completely bias bound!! I now see what you meant on the seams. Ok. Ok!! I really want to up my game and you are so inspiring!!
Thanks again
I have those type of waffle days, where I feel I can’t talk, I so get it.
Stay cool. We are supposed to get super hot weather next week in my part of the world!
Your skirt is perfect 🥰
What great things you've been making! I loved your 3/4 circle skirt tutorial, I watched it right after this video.😊
Your skirt is so beautiful I love the combination of colours on the fabric.
I am also looking forward to your Carter bsg, I always need a large bag to accomodate my books and laptop, so if it works out, I might buy that pattern too 🤗
You could use the trim as you've used theblack
I love the skirt! I must admit I've been living in my 2 beach pyjamas this week in the heat, just perfect for wafting around. I'm now thinking about making a 3rd pair.
Love the skirt! That turned out lovely.
A couple of months back I remember you were kicking around the idea of hosting a sewing challenge. Since you have a tendency to put a lot of effort into finishing methods, what about a "Pretty Guts" challenge? The idea could be to go the extra mile on finishing methods, or try a new finish, etc. and post a photo of the inside of the garment to show how it turned out. It just seems so "you", ya know?
Love the new skirt ❤️
Love the skirt!!!

Hi not related to the skirt you've made, but a question on your butterick 6554 pattern. You cut the back on the fold, which I want to do on a couple of patterns, my question is, does this make the back wider, and if so how do you adapt it if needed. (i.e. it omits the seam allowances). Thank you for all your lovely videos and instructions. Warm regards Val.
If you have a look at the sew-along I talk you through adjusting the back to be cut on the fold 😊. You just have to remember to take off the seam allowance.
@@KittenishBehaviourSian Oh I see, never thought of doing that. Thank you so much. It's so nice to be able to get the answers needed. Keep up your wonderful tutorials, it's so helpful to be able to watch the construction of the dresses you make. Warm wishes Val. Xx
It'll only work if the seam is a straight edge so double check 😊
💜💜💜
Hey Sian, what if you got some extra black lawn and used it for the back of the shirt and use the print for the front?
:)
