Keanu probably took this project because it gave him a chance to explore something deeply personal to him, having lost a loved one in a car accident in 1999. I can respect that.

Agreed. A good example of that for me is Jeremy Irons. Almost no one questions that he's a good actor, but he's been in so many weird/awful movies. I used to wonder why he chose to star in them until I came across an interview where he said he has an expensive castle to maintain (yes the first world problem har har) and he can't always be picky. It was kind of refreshing to hear an actor say stuff like that out in the open. Yes acting is a form of art, but for many it's also a means of making a living. Feel like we forget that as the audience.

I see Keanu and I see Alice Eve in a movie together, I get intrigued. I realize the theater down the street is NOT showing it, but the one 10 minutes away in the less populated part of town is. OMG, I saw this movie on opening Thursday, with about half a dozen other people spread throughout the theater.
There were audible chuckles, giggles, and outright laughter at some of the lines meant to be deadly serious, some of the decisions the characters make that are even stupider than normal movie character decisions, Keanu Reeves just saying things like "Keanu Reeves", and just the general shittiness of it all.
The movie seemed to take forever, but we all left laughing and a few people got free passes because the movie was soooo bad, I didn't ask for a pass because I didn't have to pay to see it, but it wasn't even worth watching for free!
Hopefully this movie is never _replicated in the future_ !

YES! We NEED a final chapter to Legacy of Kain! The pillars just break, Raziel's soul is now trapped in the Soul Reaver sword, Janos is possessed by a Hyldin demon, the Elder God is supposedly trapped, and Kain's plan to alter history is JUST about to begin. WE NEED TO CONCLUDE THIS STORY!

The movie already is a replica. This movie is actually based on the 90's "Outer Limits" season 7 episode "Replica." It seems like an "Outer Limits" episode because it IS an "Outer Limits" episode. The first time I saw the trailer I said to myself, "No, it can't be." Then I went back to check, and I was right.

This review was spot on! This movie was so convoluted. It should have just been a made for TV film or Netflix original. And the acting was so God awful. I was like, why is Keanu acting like... old Keanu? And the climax scene... just terrible.

I guess I should have read the signs that a movie released in Jan is already on Netflix. Holy crap it's awful, even my husband who'll watch any sci-fi nonsense wanted to turn it off half way. Everything every character does is stupid. They stole 3 cloning machines from their work and costing $1.7m a go and no one noticed, they could only bring back 2 of his children cos the company only 3 cloning machines and then 3 scenes later they're back at work and they walk past more cloning machines, it just goes on and on........you're right Jeremy, it's one of those movies that just makes you say "How the f*** did this get made"

Replicas is the best accidental (possibly on purpose?) sci-fi comedy I've ever seen. Maybe its just due to being slightly delirious from lack of sleep when I watched it, but I actually had fun with this movie despite every criticism you have being right on point.
