I really like the idea of Massive Darkness but I wish there was a version that had standees instead of miniatures. I can't justify filling half a shelf with boxes that are 50% empty and 50% miniatures I'm never going to paint. Machina Arcana uses standees, both expansions fit in the original box with tons of space for more content, and combined there's something like 60+ unique enemies and ~20 unique explorers.
CMON should partner with Super Giant Games to do a Hades game. I think running through like the non-campaign version of MD: Hellscape but just having one or two things carry over into the next play to keep the variability would be the perfect balance. Plus the art and miniatures would be amazballs.
I was surprised and disappointed to find out the Heavenfall campaign is the original game scenarios strung together (with a couple tacked on at the end). My main reason for purchasing was for new scenarios.
The Druid was the only add-on I picked up during the campaign. It's a really fun character. I'm in agreement about the one-shot nature of MD being a huge plus, but I love the models in Heavenfall. Always been curious if they have cards to use them in standard more? Levels 1-5?
In the review you mentioned you wish you had got the druid in the Kickstarter. Glad you were able to get it. If I may ask, did you get it from a reseller or is there some way else I could get it?
The 4 horsemen are so underwhelming miniatures. The 4 horsemen from The others' Apocalypse, for example, are so badass in comparison. Even the ones that will come out soon with Black Rose Wars Rebirth are much better than these. They look like 4 human beings on 4 regular horses with 4 different costumes. So lazy sculpts.

they do, heavenfall brings the campaign mode but it also brings the core elements so you can just add them to the base game without campaign play.

I prefer the campaign. One disappointment with the campaign is that 10 of the 14 quests are slightly tweaked versions from Hellscape.
