After i watched this, just made me realize i must dance and give my all my soul to make people realize i am not dancing for myself but for the people who made me what i am today. As a young Filipino dancer who is still starting, I can definitely relate to this. My parents didn't really support me to go in this path. The words "Where will that take you?" really hit me hard since they also wanted me to pursue a more beneficial career, and of course finish my studies. I laughed, jumped, felt proud, and definitely cried over this performance, as I also wanted to make my parents proud one day with my dancing.
even though im grown up now, my mom still rubs my chest with melted vicks and whispers her prayers over me. It is honestly a touch of her love. I gasped out loud when that segment came on.
