In Monopoli we spent one of our best winter holidays. It is a very unique and beautiful place.

Great flimingI am in Galllipoli as we speak heading to Otranto now that i know about Monopoly and the others on the east coast of Puglia you have mentioned wow thanx...I hit Matera for a few days on Jan 7th spending my birthday staying in a cave. Headed to Lecce for a few days. I so appreciate your videos. GREAT VIDS very inspiring. It will help me with mine. Happy New Year guys

I just checked into Torre del Parco thanx for that tip it's fabulous. Did you see the sister hotel in the center WOWZA!. You guys I don't know how you did not get overloaded and how long did it take to do your episodes on all of these towns? I am on Baroque overload right now and have to get out of lecce and go to the beach for a while. Too much to see and I have no idea how I am going to deal with RUclips. That church in Otranto with the mosaic floor and crypt did you guys miss that It was amazing. And the Santa del croce church in Lecce well that did me in LOL. Thanx for the great vids. Appreciate you. Just fly over and do Matera only and spend like 3 or 3 days. I am spending 3. I will let you know which hotels I am staying at. I boked one night until I see where it is then two more but one hotel at a time lol Happy New year

Great vlogs going there later on in July. How easy is it to get train seats/tickets? Do you need to book in advance? Trying to decide if to hire a car or take a train. Which would you recommend?
We didn’t use the train that much as we had a car but just jumped on the day got seats and paid as we went. No issues in august when the Italians are on holiday. I guess you just need to check train schedules for where you want to go and connections. The train service is very good in Italy. We booked places specifically that had a car space because of the parking issues. Without this it can be a problem especially in old towns never designed for a car. Have a wonderful time!
Hi! Great video. I will be in Monopoli for a few days in July. Do you know how late the trains run? For example, if we want to have dinner in Polignano, I was wondering how late the train will run back to Monopoli. Thank you!
Google thinks 11.23pm is last train. They are only about 8km apart so you could a taxi back in 15 mins if that is too early.
