Nice I just uploaded some ambient music I made with my Lambda. I really love it and always find myself turning to it first even though I have more "versatile" synths than this. Just love the sound so much...
This is for those who said the Solina is the best string synthesizer, sorry is not!, the Lambda is waaaay more better sounding machine and in beautiful stereo.
The strings from around 2:29 to 3:56 are so close in sound to the String 1 (and String 2, at an octave higher) preset patch on my Yamaha SK-20 that i would not be able to tell them apart if blindfolded. The organ patches here have a different character to them, however.
Yes and no, I think they could've made it a little smaller but I'm guessing they left space so you could put a monosynth ontop for solos and melody lines.
I've opened a lambda before, and it has quite a bit of empty space inside. They probably could have squeezed it into half the size, but they made it large in order to put another synth on top of it. The large top was even listed as a feature in promotional material.
+Meggan Carney Hello i have one of them found in a second hand shop at a verry low price but this synth have more than 35 year and if you havent a phd in electronique or a lot of money for to manny repair at the shop it is not the best choice can i suggest you the " warldorf Streichfett" synth new not expansive and who do the same kind of sound
used to have a Korg Sigma i got for 200$, perfect condition. AMAZING krautrock lead synth... wish i hadn't sold it.
11:19 That sound is dreamy.
The Korg Lambda! Or as I like to call it, “The Dream Generator”

This synth has got all the best sounds in a very sweet way, no needless farts...
I really need one of these.
Really nice sounds... and playing.

Thx for the morning joke
@@fabthefab75 Well is not, simply the truth!

Fantastic demos.
Great demo!
Mine should be broken because I don't get all those sounds presets...
Wonder why these things were so big? Are there, like, tons of circuit boards sandwiched in there...?

an analog polysynth needed quite some circuitry, and back then that tended to bit a bit larger today.

I had a synth on top of mine the whole time, I didn't know it was a design feature though.
Seems, Korg planned their synth SIGMA to be placed top of the LAMBDA:

Where can I find one of these?
