Most people buying Armitron just looking for a good watch at a decent price, and that is what they are. Not really sure where your expectations are coming from….. it’s an $18 dollar watch, align your expectations.
Yeah I'm not exactly sure what the issue is. It's pretty close to the website image. Ugly online and ugly in person. Totally not surprised considering its $18 only
I wear Armitron to work since I can care less if they get beaten up. My only complaints about Armitrons are that they use the cheap plastic for their faces. It scratches right away and is ALWAYS distracting. But hey, can't complain for so cheap.
Just an idea for a video- buy a Casio MRW-200H I think the cheapest one is $18 on Amazon. Compare with Armitron and we will see if Casio is really “god tier”
I owned and took apart a mrw-200h. It was put together well, double crown o-rings, thick caseback seal, miyota movement. I don't think I ever felt a more secure non-screw down crown on a watch.
There is/was a line of Solar watches from Armitron I had on my radar just out of curiosity, but the prices never went below $75, so I just kept buying other brand watches and never pulled the trigger because the Armitrons on display in Walmart don't look that great...
It's definitely ugly. I keep watches like that around to wear when I'm working on my Jeep, painting the house, fixing the roof, etc, etc. For $18 I can usually pick up a Casio in the "Rollback" section of Walmart. Last score was a DW-291H for $10.
I completely agree that was absolutely misleading! But i personally prefer those bands. I wear Armitron because i can beat the living sh!t out of them at work and they keep working. $40 Armitron currently at 2 years and still going, Last Gshock $320, 6 months. No matter what price level Gshock i bought they all lasted abt the same. Got tired of spending all that money for sh!t to break that fast. Tho i will add, Armitrons with the hands break quick to, luckily the style i bought are digital as well! My last one of those, service came to and end when a German Shepard bit the band off!! lol But the hands quit working pretty quickly. So now i just do digital. In short if you need a watch that can take abuse and not break the bank, Armi's are an extreme version of bang for your buck. But ty for the video as i definitely will pass on this particular one!!!!

Armitron really misled with that photo. They made the bezel look like it was metallic. The dial is certainly different. Disappointing. You should do a water resistance test on it to see where it fails. Thanks for taking one for the team!

For $10 less, you could have gone to Wal Mart and buy the exact same watch for $8.99 - I did, it look exactly like the watch you are showing minus the Armitron logo. Exact, down to the strap.
What bothers me most about this Armitron is something I feel like only I would care about. That generic uppercase font Armitron spells out their name with. It replaces their classic font style that can only be found on their current Retro watches or their older discontinued watches that predate 2015. Unfortunately that includes my favorite watch that got me into watches in 2010, now dubbed the Orbit Chrono. I'm still satisfied with two much older versions of that watch I have with the ref. numbers 408177SIL and 408210RED. I cannot help that kid in me! Anyway awesome review, the error(s) on their own website concerning the water resistance ratings are not a good look, hopefully Armitron will catch that!
Hey Kid it’s an 18$ watch come on forget about it. It’s not like you are buying an Orient or Seiko. In my opinion this watch works better then a boat load of politicians in Washington D.C. 👍🤣😅😂. But all in all good call out keep ‘em coming well done 😊.

The biggest aesthetic faux pas of this watch us that the bezel doesn't match the strap. If it did, it wouldn't be *too* bad.

The less than thirty buck watch space is owned by Casio, Ive bought two recently for less than £20 and they're both pretty good.
Casios are the only brand under 30 thats put together good and reliable
