From a medicore mage to a Sage, his wisdom helps Dai overcome many undefeatable enemies. In the final arc, Pop is the real wild card, as every time Vearn gets caught off guard is mainly because of him.
courage is not the absence of fear, courage is when you know that you fear something but still stand and fight it. I think pop truly follow this sentence.
And I'll agree every time. The dragon quest games are my fave series. Better than final fantasy. I love the mostly adorable monsters. And the characters are so animated. Really wish they made an English version of dragon quest rhythm game for the 3ds not just the Japanese one

mist+vearn should easily reflect the medo-roa second bounce with the same way... it just this vearn new stance have that small defiency lack of time to change another move to face the unpredictable instant attack... and actually this phoenix shield bounce doesn't really hurt a lot to the great dark Kings... it is the hero to end the great stance... unpredictable after unpredictables...
ok this part is a bit illogical. The metal horseman did use that mirror to reflect Popp's 'max destructive spell' back to Popp. Based on early story line, Vearn need to act to dodge that same spell, a sign of fear that spell's damage. However, the mirror can not stand Vearn's fire spell? Notice, a direct hit of Vearn's fire spell, wing of Phnoex, Vearn is not taking major damage for that.
Medoroa has a weak point, it's very powerfull but can be return by a simple mirror spell, káiser phoenix it's a powerfull spell it is not a simple merasoma
After unleashing three extremely powerful spell simultaneously vearn cannot move for a couple of seconds that why they try to capitalize on that opening
When vearn use the tenchimatou stance, he unleash his 3 strongest attacks in the same breath. Doing so makes him unable to moves for a brief instant, which makes him unable to cast mahokanta or use phoenix wings to reflect popp's spell.
Theoretically yes but practicaly, no. Vearn does not even need to use it even against 10 people as he is already too strong and can defeat most opponents easily without resorting to this technique. He only use it against truly powerful opponents, and 4 or more THAT powerful opponents do not exist in DQ Dai universe.
Young Vearn here is more like a predictable clishee shounen Villian. Too much pride, Everytime one technique (and it's allready his Ultimate technique), doesn't seem unique anymore. Now I know where all this superficial Inspiration from new animes/Mangas came from. Also the mystvearn twist wasted one Character, made him to a pathetic Monster that got killed immediately. No deaths from important characters, just a predictable fight where heroes get too much shine & save the day. And that superficial hero talking is annoying af. After that you know the Heroes asspull their way through the Antagonist/villian who out of nowhere gets damage, is dumb af or beaten because light hearted writing over actually deep, mature or at least decent writing. My Favorite Moment the show was when myst destroyed everyone where they almost died, and old vearn where he totally destroys the Protagonist group & broke dai's sword & will easily. Edit: I continued the Manga, and I was right. Whatever that is it seems the Mangaka forfeited Everything he builded up. SPOILER: Killvearn is a freakn Roboter that is controlled by this little blue monster from him XD WTF. Waste of Character. Vearn did the ultimate clichee "I'm too weak that's why I must go giant giant Monster Monster form". I'm glad I saved my Time with this. That's just my humble Opinion, Peace!
killvearn is actually a well written character as nobody was expecting the little guy to be the true evil behind the things. and the villain doesn't get damage out of nowhere.

The whole time we saw a badass reaper who hides his true intentions, and even that he had the skill in combat. The fact he has many masks made him even more Interesting, and what interesting Character he reveals behind the mask. But all that forfeited for "oh, he is just a Machine". He was just a lifeless thing controlled by a minor Design, and that WHOLE identity vanished for the price of a Plottwist. Same with mystovearn, badass Design but at least the twist had Something. Nevertheless his true Design was bad compared to his former, and got immediately destroyed after his reveal. His Ability was perfect to Controll somebody permantely that he lives as Real threat with vearn. As Writer the Design of your characters should ALWAYS deliver with the mystery & Intention of your characters. Sacreficing a so good Design just for a Plottwist seems to me like a missplay & lazy Move to not give certain Sides (in this case the Villian side) enough love & Development like the Protagonists. Hadlar is a very good written Character, one of the best I saw in Anime/Manga, but he was written to be a good guy at the end. That's the point, the Villians don't get AS VILLIANS enough Love that they progress. Vearn said "I will punish the gods for their foolish doings" that was perfect that vearn could learn more about why the gods sealed away the monsters/Dragons rather than "the humans haven't the strenght & magic Power of the monsters/dragons".He could Develop like Hadlar, not to an anti-hero or in the last moments to a good guy like Hadlar, but to a Villian who changes his point of view & evolve his same goal that he gets more deepth. But I explain what almost every story should do but never did, cause a Story is only overall good like the writers life Experiences, point of view, and self-reflection. And most of the People just want to fit in rather than being an Individual. Neverthelss, DQ dais writer made a far better job than black clover, and he delivered pretty decent till the last 20% of his Manga. Maybe his editors told him to use certain Ideas & change his certain parts of his Original ideas. Vearn at least was often calm & badass even thou he had just one arm, and he even calls them "fools." Hahaha. And at least the Writer wanted to make clear that the Protagonist never would have a Chance since the Beginning without the guide of the gods. Still very light hearted, but at least a higher power was needed to take the Villian down, not the Protagonist on their own strenght alone. メドローア習得時にマトリフがポップに『マホカンタ』によるリスクを話してました。どれだけ強力でも呪文である以上、反射の対象となることをポップは承知していたので、カイザーフェニックスという名は付いているものの、所詮はメラゾーマという呪文でしかないことを考慮した上でこの作戦に出たんでしょうね。
ここはコミック版の演出も良かった

何かどころの騒ぎじゃねぇ、最後の決め手になってくれたぜ。
コミックスではシグマとの決着後から爆発までのシーンのコマ割りの間が他のよりも大きいんですよね？その間に何かしらのやり取りがあったって意味で間を空けてるんですけど。前もってシャハルの鏡を後々の切り札として考えてたってところが凄いですよねー！
バーンの性格上絶対に気付くことはないけど、突撃前の台詞でポップはバーンにヒントを与えている。『誰一人欠けていたってあんたと向き合うことさえできなかった』この欠けていけないうちの一人には当然シグマも含まれている。そこに気付ければシャハルの鏡を隠していることにも気付けた。だがバーンはもちろん読者・視聴者も恐らく誰一人その瞬間までシャハルの鏡に気付くことはできなかった。これ程光輝く隠し球は古今東西数多の漫画の中でも秀逸だと思う。

ただ返した訳じゃない。大魔王の必殺技のひとつを跳ね返した。
確実に大魔法でさえ冷静ではいられないレベルのダメージを与えた。
絶対に大魔王の度肝を抜いたのは誰から見ても間違いない、これ以上無い手なのが凄い。
もう一人の主人公はポップやな
ポップ一人で天地魔闘を出させたのがすごいわ。挑発の結果だったとしても
だってここで天地魔闘使わなきゃ地上消滅させた後にヴェルザーから「お前あの時人間にビビッて奥義使わなかったよなぁｗｗｗ」って、それこそ永遠に擦られるんだぞ？ここは大魔王としても勝負に乗らない訳にはいかなかった

i agree about myst vearn, once revealed he was killed easily and without any good story. it was quite disappointing
