The Solitary Pursuit of Lightning: He did not precisely face the Raiden Shogun. He challenged the Vision Hunters to a duel before the Inazuman throne, and this challenge was granted by a representative: while the Shogun oversaw the duel she was not the opponent Kazuha's friend faced. His opponent is visible in the trailer, although as the sword isn't her preferred weapon I can understand your not recognizing her. All that said, the duel was to the death and the Raiden Shogun was there to personally kill the loser... which is both the reason this type is duel is extremely rare and the main reason this one happened at all.
Flavors of the World: At least one of those "beasts" has a character demo, and likely two. While not the main focus, this trailer along the way makes the point that while the period known as the Archon Wars seem to have ended with the world only having room for seven remaining gods, with their territories enforced - that figure has been rounded off. There's a bit of leftovers that don't amount to a whole god still around. (While the story of the God of the Stove obviously still gets told properly, a lot of people today ascribe the title to Rex Lapis - and Guoba seems just fine with this.)
Tale of the Five Kasen: You aren't supposed to have the context to understand all of what happened here, especially as while it probably did happen as told it's also a good allegory for somewhat more recent events in Inazuma's cultural history you aren't supposed to yet understand either. The reason why all the characters depicted here look almost familiar is because Albedo from Monstadt became a guest at the Inazuman festival this trailer is from, he was there to paint the story being told here, and he used familiar people as models for his painting. ...He also realized where to stop publicly telling this story.
Changsheng: Baizhu's take on this should be obvious. If the patient's life is worth saving, so is the doctor's - and so is Changsheng's. If you cannot save another's life without expending your own, the only solution is to remove the limits to your own life - and metaphorically gain an unlimited line of credit.
