    What do you think about what you've seen so far of Communicore Hall?? 🧐

  • @turcj
    @turcj 4 месяца назад +3

    LOL! I am enjoying watching all of the Disney Vloggers figure out that Communicore Hall is a hall. That is why it was the last to be completed - it is just an event space.

      It definitely seems like it. Confused us, and still kind of does. Not exactly sure what it's meant for. I imagine they change things up throughout the year maybe?

      @@Dillon.Thomas Yes, it's a festival place. That's why it's such a blank slate now and why it has the lighting setups that you noticed. Think of it like an art gallery space that currently has no exhibit. Very plain, but very flexible.

      I appreciate you watching! Thank you! You should DEFINITELY look into it, it's been the best decision of our lives moving down here. There's never a boring week, we sometimes just pop into a park for an hour or two. It's the best. Hopefully it works out for you! 🙌

      @Dillon.Thomas there's a good chance we may do it next year, we end up in Florida twice a year as is for the parks, just need to learn more about orlando and if it's truly worth it

      @@Gtneff It's gained a lot of popularity, and renting/home values have gone up a lot unfortunately. It depends on how things pan out for work. We were thankful to be able to relocate so easy. Not everyone has the same ability to do so, though. Some great resources for seeing everything going on here on RUclips, though, to see if it works out!

      @@Dillon.Thomas yeah financially we can make it work, it's more of the lack of friends/family in the area. We'd really be starting fresh. Did you know people when you guys moved?

      @Gtneff unfortunately, none. But we've met people in the theme park community, and through work. So things are going well! But it's certainly different when you don't have friends and family around. But we honestly have do many great memories we're making together, it's so worth it.

    Wow - I've never seen that acrobat show - thanks for stopping by and filming,. I will have to catch it next time I am there. Interesting, I didn't realize Comminicore Hall was so big. Nicole knowa her Encanto!!! LOL. Honestly - for what they put there in the Hall, they should have just left the original building up and saved millions. I haven't seen it yet, but I am not impressed by what I see. There is no way that anyone can stand outside during the summer months. I can bet that this was designed by someone that had no clue what the Florida sunshine is like during the year.
    I'm going to venture that the hall be used greatly during the festivals. Take care and be well..

    • @Dillon.Thomas
      @Dillon.Thomas  4 месяца назад +1

      It is kind of tucked away in world celebration, so we've always forgot it was around too! You'll have to let me know your thoughts on communicore after you visit. I've unfortunately not heard many positive things across all outlets. I think the 5+ years, not really coming close to the original concept art, and having poor sun/heat control is not a great look right now. I do hope they liven things up for the festivals. But it feels VERY barebones right now. And I would tend to agree, someone designed that area without the idea of the Florida sun/heat in mind. I was hearing the CM's clocked the temperature of the pavement at 130 degrees.... 💀

  • @GenJonesLife
    @GenJonesLife 4 месяца назад

    If anything I am surprised that they opened the hall when there is not a festival going on. Especially a time with such a big gap between festivals. I believe the reason that it is such a blank slate, including to murals on the walls like outside the meet and greet, is that it's designed to be a festival space. I think it will be much different inside when a festival is going on.

    Disneys knows epcots the park everyone goes to eat and drink. They've accepted that's what it's for and they just turned that place into the spot to drop off your drunk friends to sleep it off or slow them down. To prevent drunk friends and family from jumping out of ride vehicles and starting random fights.

      I think that's what's frustrating people so much. It wasn't like it was an 8 month project or a year. But the fact it's been 5+ years and this was the "big reveal" I think is rubbing people the wrong way. Plus, it's not even remotely close to the concept art they gave us lol.

    I know Disney's budgets are extremely, super limited right now...but they could drape steel cables and nylon fabric over that audience area to create a ton more shade over people's heads. I know that material and steel cables are relatively CHEAP. Couldn't they have at least painted the walls in the hall and themed it with colors and art and....I dunno..."THEMEING"??? Just paint colors and artwork on the walls? It looks like a government high school lunchroom. I have seen small city airports that are better decorated and more interesting than this hall. Where did the Disney magic go? Oh, yeah,...they were all hired away by Universal. Ugggg....6+ years for this?

    • @Dillon.Thomas
      @Dillon.Thomas  4 месяца назад +1

      Funny enough, I read online that they were holding off to see what capacity looks like before they move forward with additions. But I feel like they also have years of experience and data, so I'm not sure that's real or not. Again, if this was done in like 6 months to a year it wouldn't be as so poorly received. But I think it's the 5+ years that's really rubbing people the wrong way for this one. I've heard they'll adapt the area to the festivals, but still seems like an afterthought unfortunately.

  • @lashaysmith7783
    @lashaysmith7783 3 месяца назад +1

    As someone who tries to find the good in all things....I can't figure out the reason for that. Maybe they're planning on using it during festivals or events. I do feel like they need additional seating when you're trying to eat during the festivals but more tables with umbrellas; not a hall. If anything instead of all tables why not a few sofas and lounge chairs. Why not add some character meet and greets. It's like an incomplete project 🤦‍♀.

    • @Dillon.Thomas

      It's been hard for even people that don't many negative things in Disney, they're even having a hard time with this one. I think there were plans to do stuff during festivals, but it just feels so bland, I don't know how much they can spruce this up lol. I think I'm wondering what happened from all of the concept arts we had of the entire area, and what was delivered. I think that's the biggest issue, we were sold something WAY different than what was delivered.

    • @jusadude7162
      @jusadude7162 4 месяца назад

      Right! It was designed to be a “festival center” specifically for events. But where they failed, IMHO, is when its not being used. It’s just a lifeless, soulless, cavern-like building. I grant the original Communicore wasn’t much in the way of themed BUT as a liminal space, it was interesting and awe inspiring. And carpeted which made it seem less cavernous and cut down on the echo. It feels this space was a last minute addition with little attention paid to design or theming. This is in the middle of arguably the best themed park in the world. It is an incredible disappointment 😔

    Man, this all just looks so bland and empty! No trees, no shade except for some umbrellas that don't even have anything to sit on under them... it looks like a 90s outlet mall! And of course their brand new 'attraction' isn't even open...
    What's even going on out there... it just looks kind of sad. Even the Encanto show feels cheap and cut rate, like it's being put on at a county fair, not a triple A theme park, though the performers are doing their best with what they've been given. Even the sphere dancers look like they're making do with some salvaged piece of playground equipment someone stole from a public park built in the 80s. You'd think they could afford even a little decoration or something and not this bare metal cage...

    • @Dillon.Thomas

      It's weird, part of me is like ya, having seating and a place to relax is nice, but part of me feels like 5 years of construction and the amount of open space in there is not what fans were looking for. I'm not sure what to totally think at this moment. But I think the biggest issue I personally have is just the concept art to what was given is so completely different... I don't know how to react to it lol

    Low effort, low quality trash that we have come to expect from Disney since the pandemic. All the while constantly increasing prices for such trash. Very disappointing, especially for how long they have been working on Epcot.
    For those under 30 or for those that haven’t been to a typical American suburban mall, that hall looks like a typical mall food court, sterile and bland.
