I don’t think you pausing to comment is rude. I go to Ren’s channel or Spotify or the playlist on my phone to listen to songs; and I come to reaction channels for…reactions! :0) I think it’s cool that your dad will be doing a Ren reaction with you; looking forward to seeing how it goes!
I know there are people who prefer reactors just letting the song run but I'm with the "I could just listen to this directly if you have nothing to add" crowd. The caveat is that the reactor has to be able to keep up with what's happening and you do just fine! If they keep missing things because it's their first listen, then I would rather they listen all the way through and then go back with the commentary.
