I was considering the Vulcan 900 for my first bike, but pulled the trigger on a '15 Triumph Speedmaster because I couldn't resist the price on it. I never threw a leg over the Vulcan. My next one may very well be a Vulcan. Great video!
the models you were thinking of from Kawasaki are the Vaquero and Voyager. I am in love with the Vaquero...has such a hot rod vibe. When I first saw the instrument cluster on the Vaquero I was instantly reminded of the dash layout on my dad's 69 Mustang Mach 1 w/ 4speed manual. I started riding in the fall of 2019 age 51. Bought a 03 Vulcan 800 classic for a first ride. After a year bumped up to Vulcan 900 classic and had it a week before getting wrecked. Spent the next year recovering then last fall bought a 15 Vulcan S. Love the layout of your content. I am starting my own vlog soon, still getting all the bits and pieces together.
I enjoy your wanderings. My wife rides a Vulcan 900 with a Voyager Trike Kit. I have ridden it a few times and also like it, though my main cycle is a Victory Vision ABS Tour. I am looking for a smaller commuter, daily rider and am considering a KLR650 so I can poke off the pavement easier. This would be a second motorcycle, never getting rid of the Victory. My ministry is as a missionary Pastor-Evangelist to the Trucking and Motorcycling community. Now being semi-retired I am focusing on underserved groups. I live on the west end of Sioux Falls, SD.
My wife used to ride but has stopped a few years ago. I keep hinting that she should try a trike or one of the Can-Am Spyders, but she hasn’t gone for it yet. I was also looking at the KLR, but may be more interested in the lower model or similar, I too think it would be fun getting a bike for just the gravel and dirt back roads. Thanks you for the comments and God bless you for all you are helping with! Thanks again!
I had a Drifter 800 between 2000-2005. It was such a pleasant, all-day bike, and I probably should never have sold it. Nowadays I'm thinking of seeking out a carburettor 1500 Classic - not unlike yours - as a second bike when I don't feel like riding the Goldwing.
I would never not recommend a Vulcan!! They are Comfortable, but a Goldwing is Comfortable too. Vulcan does make a nice second cruiser though just for running around or changing up the ride a bit. Keeps life fun!
@@moreonwandering2984 The Wing is big and fast and comfy, but it's kind of overkill if you're just popping down to the shops for a pint of milk. And unlike the 1200 that preceded it, the 1500 tends to be a bit ponderous around town. Honestly, I should probably walk more.
I'm wondering is this the 1600 I see it's got a hydraulic clutch on left handle bar I got a 2017 900 classic kawasaki Vulcan I added a mustang seat I love it I find myself hunting a 6th gear all the time but it's a dream ride bike don't regret getting it at all I've never had a Harley Davidson I know this kawasaki Vulcan classic with mustang seat is as smooth as silk I went with the synthetic oil metric from aimsoil what a smooth bike I highly recommend any one got a metric cruiser go with the metric aimsoil what a difference it makes the heal to toe shifter to smooth I rode 25 miles yesterday to look at a 1700 I got there thy didn't have in stock the sells lady I talked with said you can't just order one kawasaki offers them to the dealership it's not you ordering it thy say they don't sell that great im thinking about up grading my size I will choose a kawasaki 1700 because these 900 never give me little to no problem from brand new out the box I seen mine put together and been a great bike I take care of it it's 6 years old I replaced the battery just because I didn't want wait till it failed on me it never quit on me I got over 16 thousand miles on the bike I replaced the rubber on both tires and you know the regular maintenance like oil changes lubricant the cable's I clean them then put cable lubricant in them it keeps it so smooth I replaced my break pads on back I replaced the rotor and pads there only 52 dollars for pads and rotor I didn't have to replace the rotor but this bikes to nice to half way anything on it I flushed out break fluids just normal stuff keeps your bike in mint conditions I plan on keeping this bike one of the kids or grand kids get it
Mine is a 2003 1500 classic, this one too has never given me any issues, but I have had issues with both of my Harleys. I would definitely recommend the going with the Kawasaki again if you are thinking about another bike. Good Luck and Ride Safe! Thanks For Watching!!
Japanese bikes i would buy second to none and they are affordable easy to maintain. Even though Harley bikes have always been on my list because of their price new or used i have never bought one. I have done a lot of research between the Suzuki and the Kawasaki tour bikes and the Vulcan stands out over the rest. Love the sound on your bike and for the 1700cc or the 2000cc have you ever test ridden either? Peace.
I have not tested the 1700 or the 2000, but they look to be a very similar design so I would not hesitate to try one of them out. I was interested in the 1700 when I got my road king but no dealer in my area carried it to test so i ended up going with the road king at that time. Thanks for watching!
Great riding with you. Keep safe.
Thank you for watching!!

Vulcan’s a good bike, but so is a triumph…and the best bike is the one you get to ride! Ride safe and thanks for watching!!

Yes, the Kawasaki Vaquero was the one I was thinking of. Nice looking bike! I'll keep watch for the vlog. Safe Riding!

Vulcan's perfect for around town then, and you could always walk to the Vulcan!!!@@richardsmith5249

did you encounter the secondary is slipping
No, I have not had any issues with it slipping out of gear or clutch slip at all with this bike.
Will that mustang seat fit my 07 1600 classic?
Mustang does make a seat that will fit on your 1600. They are comfortable and I've had mine for 20 years now.
Hey, where did you find the chrome instrument cover that covers the kawasaki branding?? Looks great! This a vn900 right???
that was a part from Kawasaki that I put on the bike when I purchased it in 2003. This ones a Vulcan classic 1500.
@@moreonwandering2984 thanks! Do you know what its called or where I might be able to find it now?? Thanks!!
