Kraftwerk - Computer Love (Live at Latitude) 20/07/2013 Please help support the channel, it is greatly appreciated: buymeacoffee.c... #Latitude #Kraftwerk #80smusic
The bass synth in this version is so funky and deep I wish the instrumental was longer though, the only downfall of this version is the short ending I could listen to this all day
To me there's music before Kraftwerk and music after Kraftwerk. That's what the history of music boils down to. Thank you, guys, for bringing so much joy to my life. You're the greatest!!
just came back from their show, and cant stop watching all those clips live :D that version was great! And Pocket Calculator in Polish - epic :) They are EPIC! End of!
The original is more simplified and a bit more elegant than this version but it's great to have two versions to choose from. Music should not remain static and musicians like to elaborate their material on occasion and after 3 decades, why not?
Donald Mayo I think that's great that they didn't just stuck in 70s or 80s and still are developing its style. The main reason why electronic music is created is because of technological progress and they seems to understand it best.
@@neilsun2521 Absolutely, Neil...this is simply an edited version of the version form "The Mix", albeit without a few of my favourite parts from the remix...man, "Computer Love:" was always my favourite Kraftwerk song for a decade from when it was first released, so I went completely NUTS when I first heard the remix from "The Mix" when it was released in '91...still gives me CHILLS!!
eu também na época tinha todos os discos deles tempo do vinil quantas saudades eles são um grupo bem a frente do seu tempo pra mim é como viessem do futuro naquela época gostava muito do grupo devo também abraços
guys, you all have to listen to the 1981 live version. it's far more ahead than this version. maybe because this is based ont he 1991 the mix version. the original had way more heart.
Haha right I have to give a history lesson every time I hear that shit that kids will be listening too. And then they say “fuck you”. Also same thing with Kesha and other bands like rap hip hop music.
You know, if a young kid that's never heard of Kraftwerk hears this, recognises it as Coldplay, but wants to check out more of Kraftwerk's music, then that's fine with me. Good on that kid for having an open mind. For years, I only knew Tour de France as "that tune from where Boogaloo Shrimp dances with a broom". It doesn't matter where we start our journey, just so long as we're on the right path. The path that takes us away from Coldplay, obviously.
Why being so elitistic when it comes to music ? I swear, I can't understand the saltiness. I mean, it's a good occasion to make them discover something new about music history However, acting like they should "know" where does it comes from when they litterally didn't live these years... What are you expecting ? Acting like a gatekeeper drives people away...
@@boneanchor45 I don't give a fuck about people and what they think. I didn't live in 70's as well but somehow I can know the original so sorry but it IS possible. It's not about "elitarism" it's about basic knowlegde and respect for the original song and for the good music in general. Simply there are songs and bands that it's a shame not to know them. It's simple as that- the author of the comment.
Me lleva a 1981..éste tema sonaba mucho por aquella época, eran precursores en un cambió musical..estos alemanes la rompieron,...había un amalgama de tantos temas a elegir...y entre todos sonaba éste.
Amazing how poignant this song is, while being a dance hit and an electronic music landmark... That's song writing for ya. Don't forget Karl Bartos, yo
No los "imitaron". Coldplay pidio autorizacion expresa a Ralf Hütter y Florian Schneider (fundadores de Kraftwerk) para usar el riff de esta cancion como parte del tema "Talk".
Coldplay shit music band actually ripped it off and so did many other bands from songs made by Kraftwerk years before. Anything like Kesha songs you hear today mixed with familiar songs by Kraftwerk is all Kraftwerk music. You can even hear them in rap hip hop music.
They didn't event Electronic Music, Moog did as well as others, but they invented the techno style of music. They were the first all electronic music band. Wendy Carlos and others like Tomita did electronic music predating Kraftwerk, but they did covers of classical works often, and really didn't appeal to much youth at the time. Note that Grand Master Flash said that Kraftwerk permitted him to go to get a drink and take a dump when he was DJing in the early days.
Loose one member and its disappointing, loose two members and its very very disappointing, loose three members and Im afraid this is Kraftwerk by name only.
With respect, "working with" is hardly what most people would consider being part of the quartet that is/was Kraftwerk, countless numbers of people could be classed as having "worked with" Kraftwerk since its beginnings.
Yeah I suppose. Fritz became an actual member in 89 after Wolfgang left and Henning replaced Karl in 91. I don't really see why people give Kraftwerk shit for trying to stay active. Would you rather them disband and not hear their new and probably last album in a few years?
No, I'm not saying that at all but when three of the original four members that most people know and think of as Kraftwerk have all left it starts to become a little bit like the 40 year old broom that's had 8 new heads and 6 new handles, to me the new/current line up just seems to be a little bit disingenuous. but of course it's only a matter of personal opinion.
Seen Kraftwerk's 3D show live a few years ago, absolutely amazing one of the best concerts I have ever been to BRILLANT. They are so underated and as the guys have said below they invented electronic music
Rest in peace florian you did a great step in the music

This needs to be a separate studio version in and of itself! The dance beats and the funky bass lines are amazing.
The most IMPORTANT act of all times. Period.
Im no fan of electronic music but there is something hauntingly beautiful about this song.
The whole album is like that! Such a great record
Telephone from techno pop is another hauntingly beautiful one
One of the greatest pioneering electronic groups of all time
And after all the evergreen legendary band is going on till now, that's the good sign. Lots of respects from India.🙏🙏
This is awesome! And I want their suits!
when and where do you wear that?😂
All of them?
Me too
Just great! 3:19 it becomes amazing!
I think it would have been a great concept if Kraftwerk wanted to release this song in the 2000s onwards
Gracias por tanto, abuelos ❤❤

Avevano letto, qualche pagina del futuro. Negli anni 70 raccontavano la musicalità del futuro. Geni. Anche oggi mi danno emozioni.

I quite agree! The original “analog” was sublime. But after all these years they’ve kept it fresh is magnificent
This is basically the version from 'The Mix' album from 1991. Very different from the Computer World original.
I know I am kinda off topic but does anyone know of a good site to stream newly released movies online?
I was at that festival. Kraftwerk came on stage.. just as old friends emerged out of the crowd. Great times 🙂
So relaxing music, really.

1981 Block buster electronica from Kraftwerk. excellent.

I love how Falk Grieffenhagen barely moves, just gentle movement of the head, very reminiscent of Florian.

Aren't you glad that you were able to watch them live in ANY form?? I certainly am!
You are the robots. Please don't sound like techno or house.
Let's go back to 1981 live.
vocals stink though...
you tube I agree. Ralf Hütter is an alright singer at best and I don't get why anyone has criticized him for that.
horrible, if you compare it to the version of 1981... unfortunately.....
+Michael Krestan No it isn't.
It's astounding how fresh it sounds! Could be in the charts today!
And this version is awesome!
different... still superb tune ;)) Awesome live performance, gets my ass shaking ;)))
Each to their own. I always had a slight preference for the upbeat version found on the album The Mix (1991).
If you think it's horrible, Why are you here then? Go listen to the 81 version if you want. No one is going to stop you. Thank you. -E
Not their best rendition, bit lack luster
