- Summer Waugh, RN, is a stork nurse at The Maternity Center at Cabell Huntington Hospital. She and our team of stork nurses are specially trained to care for newborn babies and assess their health at the time of delivery.
Stork nurses help ensure the baby is skin-to-skin as soon as possible through the Golden Hour, initiate and assist the mother with breastfeeding and help to educate the mothers on baby care and feeding choices.
