Just finished the manga. I would’ve never imagined myself crying over a book or getting nervous to turn a page to see what happens within the story. School live is an underrated gem I wish people knew more about. I’m happy I watched the anime thinking it was a slice of life. This whole story was one hell of a ride. (Wishing for a 2nd season!!!)
Kurumi single handedly got the girls out of the hell of this apicalytic world with just one shovel in her hand. but what hurts me the most is they all had their roles in the group, and how heavy those roles were. A support system so strong yet so fragile, but they all made it work. Yuri was also one of the strongest, but even she crumbled at some point, it's just so sad that she had taken her role as the big sister of the group so seriously that she had forgotten about how she failed to protect her own little sister, when she remembered it was a the Yuki case all over again. Yuki was wonderful after they left the school, she knew exactly what yuri was going through and was able to help her. and Kei, well Kei was just trying her best the whole time she was maybe one of the less affected by the constant stress of living in an apocalyptic world. She was also very useful to the team by fearlessly fighting, she was no kurumi but her bravery was second to none.
Found this somewhere in the end of 2023, i then completely forgot about this song. Rediscovered it in may after a lot of searching. This song is really soothing, i have it in my yt playlist "apocalypse", and am hoping to listen to thie masterpiece in my last moments in an apocalypse. I still can say with confidence that the anime and manga was one of my favorites of all time. A unique take on zombie apocalypse and mental health in anime. It really spoke to my heart when I read and watched it. Would love more adaptions from the manga to the anime. 10/10, left a big impression on me.
