I love that episode, Toby Jones is so good as the dreamlord. You nailed it when you said it walks a fine line between silly and sinister. I love the way your eyes lit up when they started jumping between dreams. When Amy says "So what is the point of you?", it's so cold it gives me chills every time.
Can you imagine the doctor as a villain? He would be the most horrifying, dark, dangerous, twisted being in the entire universe. he’d be unstoppable. It’s so scary I’m getting chills just thinking about it.
Imagine his Tardis as a little house of horrors, ready to drop any plethora of vicious aliens on anyone at any time. Now imagine 11 and all of his wacky goofiness doing it with twice the glee as any of the Master incarnations. I'm pretty sure even the Joker would s**** himself.
The Doctor does have an evil side....It's between his twelfth and final incarnations where he is Called the VALEYARD. He is seen in Classic Who's season called "Trial of a TIme Lord" Oh yes, the Doctor does have an evil side...
Every time the dr goes back in time his bow tie turns blue but while he’s in the future it turns red. When the 10th doctors tardis went forward in time the vortex would be red and reverse.
And we're BACK! Double upload yeet-again! What'd you think of this one? AMY'S CHOICE is a low key masterpiece episode.... I mean ... as i have said before Series 5 is my favourite run of episodes... so i am bias BUT this is truly a solidifier of the dynamics of 11/The Ponds as a team TARDIS I adore it... and remember being so tripped out at how amazing this episode was
Josh Pinder it is a masterpiece personally Series 4 is my favourite and Tennant is my favourite doctor so I’m not particularly biased and I agree this episode is a masterpiece and the dream lord is one of the best villains in all of new who and needs to make a return
The person the Doctor refers to at 13:21 is the Valeyard from the classic series, who is the amalgamation of the Doctor's darkest side from somewhere between his 12 and final incarnation.
Funny thing, I went to that village and wanted to take some pictures in the ruins, but it was full of children, as every family went there, having a barbeque, and all the kids playing in the ruins. ^^
I just realized that I know the dream Lord guy from Sherlock. And when I first saw him in Sherlock I remember thinking that I knew him from somewhere. And now I know it's from here 😂
I'm glad you enjoyed it. One of my favorite episodes in one of my favorite seasons. Fantastic plot, great character development, and phenomenal acting all around.
This was a great episode and insight into the Doctor. The ancient alien people being deadly was his view of himself. The Dream Lord's different personas are all aspects of the Doctor too: the country lord, butcher, a daredevil rider and lothario. If you are interested in the darker aspects of the Doctor you should read up on the Valeyard.
the doctor kind of makes me think of Dean, the part that he said "There's only one person in the universe who hates me as much as you do" then found out that it's actually the doctor himself.
Toby Jones(dream lord) is great in detectorists, a not very well known awesome chill comedy show. It'll never have any reaction videos though because it's not well known enough to win enough votes
The only thing I like about this episode is the frozen hug Amy gives Rory back in the TARDIS after ‘dying’ for him. Such power in her facial expression. The rest of the episode doesn’t really do much for me though.
I personally think Toby Jones was amazing in this. I loved the story but he made the episode for me, such great actor, watching him perform is like watching a masterclass in great characterisation! I don't think this episode gets enough credit.
Reverse the polarity of the Neutron flow he isn’t... I swear he’s a personified interpretation of the Doctors dark side or something related to the Doctor.
Reverse the polarity of the Neutron flow is it? Fuck me I don’t know, they’ll have to do a WELL WRITTEN story about valeyards to make the doctor explain.
And you'd think this episode would have been the turning point for Amy never treating Rory like shit ever again...but no. She still calls him names and basically disregards his entire existence, until that existence is threatened, but when the threat is gone, it's back to treating him like garbage again. Poor Rory. When that minisode ended with Rory walking out the door of their house, I actually cheered, thinking he'd grown a backbone and bounced on her. But...no, of course not. Moffat had to write him crawling back to her.
I just became a patreon and binged all the way to 7x10... it's so weird being back
Welcome back from the long binge 🙏🏽😃 ❤️

"There's only one person in the universe who hates me as much as you do." This is heartbreaking when you realize the Doctor is talking about himself.
Ngl the Master might disagree haha
The Dreamlord is the Valeyard's first form.
@@Yaapohe is talking about the master..
@@leejjjjjjj1 No idea what I was thinking 7 months ago, lol
@@Yaapo haha we all been there
4:19 - 4:37 that's the face a man who knows he's watching a classic episode.
The Dream Lord is basically the personification of your own depression.
More like self hatred
Nah, he is literally The Doctor. The Valeyard.
I love that episode, Toby Jones is so good as the dreamlord. You nailed it when you said it walks a fine line between silly and sinister. I love the way your eyes lit up when they started jumping between dreams.
When Amy says "So what is the point of you?", it's so cold it gives me chills every time.
I wholeheartedly agree, every single role I’ve seen him in he has creeped me out so bad it’s hard to go to sleep
I'll be honest, until just now I thought it was Jack Nicholson lol.
LOL! 5:30 in... "Hey! Who turn out the lights?" Made me crack up.
made me not sleep tonight lmao

time lord victorious moment
I've been waiting for this episode so much I love it so much. Also let Rory's deaths count begin.
"...let Rory's deaths count begin"
Really? When the Doctor came out of that cake last time, don't you think Rory died just a little bit then?
donaldb1 Ahahaheheheheh... *slowly dies of cringe* ehehehe...
I love how you laughed at the effect of the old lady being hit but Rory’s actor actually accidentally hit the poor old lady in that take.
"You swallowed a planet"
Doctor teaching people how to get killed by a pregnant woman
"If this is real life I don't want it". That bit gets me all the time :(
The Dream Lord is basically was the Doctor could be without Companions: A Creepy Time Traveler. An inhuman Alien.
He would be the Master, surely
The Doctor does have an evil side....It's between his twelfth and final incarnations where he is Called the VALEYARD. He is seen in Classic Who's season called "Trial of a TIme Lord"

Never noticed that with the tie!
What about in the present day? Does he have a purple bowtie as well?
That's so cool
When you said "hey, who turned out the lights" I lost my shit xD - hope everyone else caught that lolol
"You die, stupid. That's why it's called reality."
My favorite line, and you skipped it!

This is such a finely written episode and very underrated in my opinion, a modern classic.
(For more Toby Jones check out “The Detectorists)
David Randall And "Harry Potter". He plays Dobby the house elf.
The look on your face as you realized what the episode was gonna be like and taking a sip out of the mug - priceless! Love it.
20:42 "And that was the first time I died." -Gosh, that might be a deep cut...
This episode right here is the very definition of ‘underrated’
AMY'S CHOICE is a low key masterpiece episode.... I mean ... as i have said before Series 5 is my favourite run of episodes... so i am bias BUT this is truly a solidifier of the dynamics of 11/The Ponds as a team TARDIS I adore it... and remember being so tripped out at how amazing this episode was

When I get a text message Matt Smith says, "You have a text message, messages are cool".
13:08 god I always piss my self at that “yeah, your not quite so impressive”
"I thought that was Tennant for a second!" You're not the only one, dude.
"Hey - who turned out the lights?"
HAHAHA THE CALLBACKS WELL DONE
The 11th Doctor, Amy and Rory are my second favorite TARDIS team after the 2nd Doctor, Polly, Ben and Jamie from the original series
Yes, Toby Jones played the Hydra scientist Arnim Zola in Captain America and Captain America II: the Winter Soldier.
The person the Doctor refers to at 13:21 is the Valeyard from the classic series, who is the amalgamation of the Doctor's darkest side from somewhere between his 12 and final incarnation.
“The baby being pregnant” - a hideo kogima concept
"Upper Ledworth" is actually a place called Skenfrith on the England - Wales border (hence the castle).
Its ok. I've been there.
There part where he said I can't always save people; that reminded me of Adric.
Funny thing, I went to that village and wanted to take some pictures in the ruins, but it was full of children, as every family went there, having a barbeque, and all the kids playing in the ruins. ^^
This series came out 6 months before the first season of the walking dead.
Thanks for this upload. You the man!
Are you planning on watching bloopers from each season you’ve reacted to?
I just realized that I know the dream Lord guy from Sherlock. And when I first saw him in Sherlock I remember thinking that I knew him from somewhere. And now I know it's from here 😂
And Dobby the House Elf.
underrated episode of who. love it
great video
I'm glad you enjoyed it. One of my favorite episodes in one of my favorite seasons. Fantastic plot, great character development, and phenomenal acting all around.
Did you know: the actress who played the old lady who Rory ends up whacking with a plank of wood actually did get injured from that scene.
11th Doctor in Upper Leadworth: GEE, IT SURE IS BOOOOOOORRRRRRRRIIIIIIIINNNNGGGGGGGGGGG AROUND HERE!!!
Yes, this is one of my favorites. I enjoyed your reaction.
If we're gonna die, let's die dressed like a Peruvian folk band.
‘is it the doctors kid’ you say jokingly, not knowing you semi-predicted river song’s storyline hahaha
I'm thinking of joining your patreon. Do your reactions include footage of the show? Or do I have to sync it up?

Ever since watching this episode I've been afraid of old people.
"one is real, the OTHER'S fake", the Dream Lord let it slip early.
This Dream Lord reminds me of Q from Star Trek TNG.
If I had seen Series 3 or the Specials before this episode, I'm certain I would have been certain that the Master returned.
Oh goodness i forgot how masterful this ep is!! Can't wait for one of my favs, The Girl Who Waited :D Loving yer reactions! Keep em comin!
Don't forget The Doctor's wife by my boy Gaiman
Did u notice his bowtie and suspenders change in the different dreams like in the tardis there red in the other dream there blue
the doctor kind of makes me think of Dean, the part that he said "There's only one person in the universe who hates me as much as you do" then found out that it's actually the doctor himself.

Thank God he recognised Arnim Zola
14:54 - well... they have walkers after all.
I literally like before the vid even begins 😂
This is the episode where I finally started liking Amy because she finally chose Rory. Love her now.
Yeh the dream lord actor is Armin Zola from Captain america, he always played in Sherlock's last season.
May be wrong, but the Dreamlord could be what has previously been called “The Valeyard”
Love this episode ❤️
The prequel to the Walking Dead: We're Not Dead Yet
20:36
I knew you were gonna say that
The 10th Doctor nice name 😊👍
This episode is great man
*inception noises*
He was also in Sherlock season 4
Yes awesome reaction loved this episode
By the way - are you doing Torchwood?
Why is nobody talking about the doctor’s self harm comment-
The only thing I like about this episode is the frozen hug Amy gives Rory back in the TARDIS after ‘dying’ for him. Such power in her facial expression. The rest of the episode doesn’t really do much for me though.

To be fair, Endgame would have been so much easier if the Avengers had had a TARDIS.
The dreamlord is actually the valeyard
Reverse the polarity of the Neutron flow he isn’t... I swear he’s a personified interpretation of the Doctors dark side or something related to the Doctor.
Dr D that’s exactly what the valeyard is
Reverse the polarity of the Neutron flow is it? Fuck me I don’t know, they’ll have to do a WELL WRITTEN story about valeyards to make the doctor explain.
18:56 No, not literally.
They really missed the opportunity to say 'DeadMachine'
been watching your vids for weeks then i realised i wasnt subbed, dang i sorted that quick
21:28-48 danb -a that’s loyal
Anyone notice the blue bow tie and suspenders on the doctor during the dream?
I hope this enemy comes back, he's so cool.
There's this movie called Time Trap that I really think you'd enjoy. The acting is a lil bit iffy but the concept is fucking fantastic.
Last of the Time Lords, the Oncoming Storm... 'im in the bow tie
Hey who turned out the lights 😂😂😂
Dobby is FREE!
I love this episode.
20:19 **slow blink** Nani?

This is going to be a tricky one...
Technically how do they know if the others are real? XD
Rory didn't feel so good, did he?
What if I told you the baby was actually real. duh... duh... duhnnnn!
OMG it's Zola

i'm starting to think you like infinity war. which one is you?
Dr. Zola
