there are 5 storklets in the nest. Too much mouths for the less food. So she has killed one of her chicks, the youngest as always. she offers it to the chicks but the sibling is too big, so she ate it.
There is no alternative to this. Climate change will make things worse. also our intensive use of meadows and fields. There is no more life there. Just dead soil full of fertilizers, pesticides, insecticides and fungicide contaminated soil. A lack of rain exacerbates the situation because the toxic concentration in the water is too high. many farms dump their toxic dirt into ditches and rivers.

According to the data of the Nature Protection Board and "Sadales tīkls" (ST), more than 8,000 stork nests have been registered in the supports of overhead power lines in recent years. Approximately 70% of Latvia's white stork population lives in the ST infrastructure. Therefore, the care of the white stork is one of the social responsibility priorities of JSC "Sadales tīkls".

Well, with 5 mouths to feed is not surprise what happened, usually storks raise 2-3 at most, excepcionally 4, at least the other ones had more posibilities in the wild, and like always, is man´s fault for the using of toxic products, I hope one day all of those products would be forbidden.

Очень мало пищи!!! Аисты должны вырастить хоть какое то потомство, а не пять слабых и голодных птенцов, которые не вынесут миграции и погибнут. Аисты регулируют таким образом, у орлов детеныши убивают друг друга. Каждая порода по своему регулирует количество потомства, но регулируют все
