- The Calgary Stampede announced that they expect attendance will set a new record after Sunday's figures are calculated. The final number will be announced Monday.

So the record was hit on Sunday, July 7, when there was FREE entry until 11 am with FREE pancake breakfast at the GMC stadium, pretty "amazing", right?

I've watched a lot of videos from the grounds and it was not busy. Born and raised Calgarian that worked for the Stampede for five different seasons and I can tell you from the size of crowds I've seen, they may have got to a million. Final day of the Chuck's and the infield seating was three-quarters empty.

Also, my experience getting into the Stampede was confusing and the staff rather useless. Don’t have a generation of people who don’t speak to people guiding or helping visitors find their way around. They don’t help. It doesn’t work.
