For the hiss sound you mentioned that comes from the filter bank you can get rid of that if you add a fruity limiter and put it on the noise gate setting
True, this is just a basic setup. There's still a lot of EQ-ing, filtering and sounddesign to do on this one, even more if you want the mainstream kicks
If you want real control over you frenchcore kick, then use a kick of course AND a distorted bass/synth line off beat, you can control them as you want

Krytax im getting better and better with « right in your face kicks », but i never really managed to make a nice frenchcore kick, i cant figure out how to properly eq the off beat bass line, always sounds weak, and also, i dont really know if ur supposed to put the sub layer with the attack, or with the bass line

+Maarten Pool You can take any good FM / regular synthesizer and make a single sine tone drop in pitch like in here. You can then edit a bit of the waveform to make it sound the way you want.

How do you adjust/master/limit the volume of the kick so that the sound doesn’t overpower the other sounds? If you see the meter it’s at the orange/red.
You'd use equalizer tools, compression tools, maybe even some limiters and what not. Then get the kick down until its no longer crashing into the red. I usually turn the master all the way up (like +2DB), and then make the track sound good within those bounds. Once its kind of done you turn the master back to 0.0db and then do the mastering with the space you've created

+CusticRush Yeah, you can add the simple fruity limiter and play a bit with the noise treshold. It wont work when its playing out loud, but that doesn't really matter as you wont hear the white noise because the kick is over it.
Everything works great for me but when my pattern stops i keep getting the noise from the kick that keeps going on untill i click on something random in my playlist any idea what may cause this problem?

Dan heb je een klein knopje (papiertje met een driehoekje) in edison - sleep die naar een nieuw channel of je playlist zelf, en nu heb je een sample van je kick. Die kun je weer gebruiken om af te spelen - dan kun je de optie "cut itself" aanzetten op die channel (en misschien CRF in de sample een heel klein beetje aandraaien) en voila. Enorm lastig verhaal maargoed - maak ik misschien ook wel eens een video van.

it is a vst plug in for by tone2 that you have buy seperatly, just google buy filterbank3 and you will easily find it. should be round about 50-60€ or 60pounds
I'm using Open Broadcast Software - use it for livestreaming but perfect for recording as well. Because of audio issues I've recorded my face with my phone apart - then edited the videos together.
And a default synthesizer - pretty much any will do, as long as you can change the wave and have a pitch envelope. I've done it with 3xOSC, Harmor, Sytrus, Serum :)

Protip: Don't turn the pitch envelope to the right, but put it in the middle. Then use the E4, F4, G4 tones for the kick.

I told him to record it as a sample after the kick sounds good. Then use that sample to prevent the clicking sound.

sytrus has filters itself. can't the be used instead of fb3?

I don't think you can :( You can work with the "volume" knob to make sure it doesn't hit the limiter. Then you can EQ it a bit :)

How do you deal with the white noise of the FilterBank?
I usually add a limiter (FL Limiter) with a noise gate set pretty low. Doesn't remove it on the kick but it removes it when its supposed to be silent

Yooo wanneer ik een kick probeer te samplen dmv edison. Blijf ie door gaan als ik m in mijn playlist zet. Ookal staat er maar 1 kick.

I agree! I usually tone it down a bit, or use some extra filtering to get the distorted higher tones out.
