Your sense of humor makes your teaching so enjoyable. I’ve learned more from u over the years that’s has really helped me to play so many different styles. And German is my 2nd language! Thank you as always.

Love your humor! I think the more extended the chords I play, more “wrong” notes I can play, and this gets me more relaxed. Sometimes I think this is true in general, to accept some little complexity in your life to let it be even more simple. Faking is such an art.
Thanks Christian, and for everything you did in 2023. I have a question for you (wait for it). I went to visit relatives for Christmas and there was a piano there. I played for a few hours over, a mix of stuff, probably at least half of it your arrangements. And I've got to say, usually when folks paid close attention and clapped afterwards, it was one of your blues tunes. You've got IT man! Anyway, my question is about how did you maintain repertoire all those years of performing? I found that pieces I had nearly perfect 3, 6, 12 months ago deteriorated quite a bit. Sure I could do the main parts, but the "tricky riffs" were sloppy. Did you have some sort of "review schedule" you built for yourself so if someone requested something you weren't playing regularly you could still do it well?
Well, if you play four nights a week in hotels or other gigs, then THAT IS you review schedule! If I practice a piece just for one or two gigs to help out in a band , it deteriorates just like you describe. If you play Your Song for 30 years, you will remember it even long after you did your last breath.
Thank you for the lesson, may I know the whole process of recording and what program do you use for editing showing your hands and notation at the same time?
Happy new year dear Christian. Nice and valuable lesson. (Once again) I love the tenderly Christian-style, it is impossible not to be highly motivated and I also enjoy your funny jokes that goes along. Now, you don’t look like Assange - I think you looks more like George Clooney. Nah, Clooney looks like you. Yes in that order. Take care buddy and all the best from Brother Peter.
@@ChristianFuchsBlues No matter what, Julian Assange is a beautiful man so you must be as well. I have another suggestion….. So busy about what YOU should do, maybe I should focus on my own duties. I am starting on the third chorus of you absolutely wonderfull version of Autumn Leaves. So rewarding to play and I learn a lot when I pay a little attention on what I play. Now, what about a little different video. A video where you tell your music-life-story? The tale of a piano man. What is your inspiration. Did you come from a home with a lot of music. How did you start playing the piano and when did you become a grandmaster. Do you play in a band or orchestra. And can you live from playing and educate. Did you skip school/education to focus on your music or do you have a musically education. I have so many questions and would love to hear a bit of your music-story. Enough for me for now. Take care brother Christian.
Please teach us some introductions, turn arounds, and fills that can be used in any song in this style. For example, for a country or simple Gospel style song in key of C, the sequence *C F Fm C* can be used as an introduction and a fill. Note the addition of the minor 4 chord which makes it much nicer. What would a tasteful lounge pianist like Master Fuchs play?
Thanks Chris 😘 Happy New Year and thanks for another year 💕🎹 Hoping you crack the 70,000 this year... or maybe even the 100,000. I’m still hoping to crack the big 1,000 haha (hint, hint.... subscribe haha). Thanks again and see you in the new year .... about an hour from now here in Melbourne 😘🎹
Thats right, you are the first down there! I wonder if that also means, that you learned a piece one day earlier than all the others? There is logic in my question, no? Happy New Year to you, too!
@@ChristianFuchsBlues Definitely not learning the songs a day earlier... I wish haha. More like months behind lol. I just did two new ones tonight "Eleanor Rigby" for all the lonely people tonight and Better Be Home Soon by Crowded House. A good sing along song and an Aussie classic. Here's to 2024.

Next time somebody asks you for accordeon sound on your grand piano, ask him or her,if (s)he can jump like Michael Jordan?
This gentleman was about 70 years old. Not sure If he was familiar with Jordan.
