The top two notes of the Dominant 7th shape are a tritone, the top two ones of a major 7th are a 5th and the top two notes of a minor 7th are a fourth. In funk tbe tritone “shake” is a classic and now I understand why it’s so commonly used on top of a dominant chord. Thank you!
