Good video I appreciate your honestly and showing real numbers of what you have made with the company. A lot of these youtubers be blowing hot air. Stay safe out there.
Thanks for watching the video and comments.I try to be as honest I can be it’s not easy specially if someone is not staying with the truck and have other bills at the house..
Assuming you are on the all in load board, the two biggest numbers do you want to keep track of and stay around to make actual money, around 5k gross and 1200 in fuel. Keeping around 65-62 mph will get you the best fuel mileage, if you can get at least 8.5 mpg, with the truck payment costing 1200, you'll bring home around 2500 a week.
I wish the best for you and good luck sir.
Thanks for advice yeah I try to keep the truck under 65 but they are times I do speed a little bit so I do spend a little more on fuel. Thanks for watching the videoand comment Be safe out there.
Things will be so much better once the truck is paid off. Some times we have to take a pay cut to reap the benefits later on.
By the time the truck is paid off repairing will be the payment.
Over 63% comes out in deductions, and that doesn't even include taxes. To most of us, that's not worth it.
He renting to own his truck that what getting him after that I think he will make bank over 100k a yr
I made 200k you just gotta know how too book your load I book 2 weeks out
Now the owner ops at my job makes 8 to 10 a month. They will go to Arkansas 3 times and a Kentucky and get 8 but 5 loads give them 10. They love it. I call myself a part time driver. I apologize yall I said it wrong. It’s 8 to 10 a week. They can go from Alabama to Arkansas everyday and get 2000 a load. I’m just now seeing the error above. But I’m going to leave it now.
Aw man that’s great if thats take home money that’s some good stuff. Once I get my truck fully paid I’ll be in the same position hopefully. Thanks for commenting and stay safe out there 👍🏽
@@truckingwithjl7826 I work at Beelman but yea they making bread. Like Gulfport everyday pays 450. This my first trucking job but I think that’s great from where I came from. But I don’t want my own truck my nerves bad all ready smh
@@melvinmelvin8577Beelman? Can you be more specific please I’m currently looking for a company to lease on to bro
@@melvinmelvin8577where is beelman out of? I’m looking for a company to lease to bro
@@To_consumed_by_the_hustle258 Indians but we in Montevallo Alabama. They got other places also. But our owner ops make 10 a week no lie and they can go home every other day if they want to
These are pretty awful numbers. Why would anyone become a lease driver to net less than 100k having all that liability. It is not hard to find an OTR job that pays 6 figure. The only thing positive is that you can take that SFI truck somewhere worse when the economy gets better.
Hey how's everything going with Schneider.
Hey Javier everything is good it’s been a hustle but I’m making it happen not easy some times but still here thanks for asking be safe and thank you for watching 👍🏽
Do you run 6 days week or go home on weekends? Do you stay in certain region? What regions have u seen the best?
I usually stay out 9 to 10 days but there are times i go home weekly, One of my problems of going home weekly is that I live in Florida there are no good loads coming out and it’s hard for me to find parking if I stay with the trailer for a 34 hour reset, so I stay home for 3 days or more, for the region I’ll say Midwest but really where the money takes me as long I can get out of the state I’m going to.
You can make 70k as a company driver any else
Hey what year is that truck
It’s a 2021
Are you company driver or lease ?
Lease with a SFI truck .
Are you going company after March 11th?
🤔 hopefully not but why March 11
I only run 3 days a week and gross 1500 . I do less as possible and be home every night. But I been off since November and only grossed 68 for the year. Sometimes I do 4 runs tho. I’m a company driver though
@@truckingwithjl7826 No more IC's.
😮
This is not true @@ogdriver5334
Looks like prison showers
This is sad bro
SFI payment is high. 1300 a week plus 35% cut off the load is a ripoff. Better off being a company driver. Not the mention the crap discount on fuel from Schinder.
theres a lot of factors as to why its 1300, they actually do payments based on your credit, year of truck, and you don't have to use schneiders fuel discount you can get any fuel card lol
@@penarriyou are a ic of Schneider?
No way the mega carriers is paying 1300 per truck per week. Why I just was checking out landstar they loads pay 2.50-3.5
@@ftrucking2126 no
@@penarriactually they don’t go by ur credit at all
As a ic are you on the road for the week or do u come home everyday or weekend. What im asking whats your schedule like as a ic
I try to go home for a 34 but sometimes it’s hard.
Yeah, that's in line with the estimates from the Schneider website, around 210k. It's good homie with your deductions for 50k truck payment, 30k personal and food, 50k gas. 210k - 130k = 80 x .24 = 19.2. 110-19.2 = 90.8k take home. You can save like crazy in an index fund and be a millionaire in 10 years or so and buy that custom house. It's all good.
What are these 100k OTR company jobs? I'm not familiar with those jobs
😁 hard to get, but they are some of their all close to 100 K
Really appreciate the info. I went a different route hauling float glass as a company driver till I saved up for a downpayment and purchased a truck from a dealer with outside financing. It took almost 2 years but I think that was a better route at least for me. Now I'm an IC with that same company and even with this economy it's an improvement but not nearly as good as it used to be before the rates tanked. I can still get 4 dollar loads but its a rarity.
Like anything, once your truck is paid off you'll have more take home. That's when the money begins to stack. I think it's worth it if it's going to be your career. Best of luck. ❤ 💯 👍
Very true👍Thanks for watching the video and comment. Be safe out there!!
Good morning Jl the numbers for December and November of course always gonna be good because of the holidays . There’s more merchandise being moved. So at this time, so yes you’re gonna be better. Oh well Iets see how you are in the year. Let us know. Thank you for your information.
Hey 👋 JL very helpful info yes having the truck paid is a big difference!! that truck stop looks really nice and clean.
I remember being stuck at the Ohio rest area for like 1 weeks 😬😬
😮😮
Iam thinking about come over to sfi
So how much is your monthly truck payment ??
This is a weekly payment of $1209 this includes maintenance account.Plus insurance 177 so total is $1387.12 weekly not Monthly…
I'm doing the schneider leasing started in November I'm having do many problems with the load board and taking money home my checks are so small, hope you are doing better
Hey 👋🏽 yeah I’ve had the same problem it’s a struggle not that easy it takes a little bit of time to learn the load board and taking money home is rough as well I’m doing okay but could be better. What helped me was taking loads with long miles. Thanks for asking and commenting as well as watching the videos I appreciate you 👍🏽 Shoot me an email if you have other questions. Take care and be safe out there 👋🏽
I see the best results when I plan ahead at least 3 days, if you try to plan the next day of or even the next day all the good loads are taken, the most I made was about 3.5k profit
Is that dryvan or tanker
Hey John it’s dry van only. They do offer refer and flat bed work but that’s only when Schneider need help and is temporary.
So what is take home a week .
Average of $1200 to $2500 a week but it all depends on the loads that are available for the week.
Hey as the owner operator, where do you often fuel? TA, flying J, pilot or where else?
Flying J and Pilot sometimes if it’s cheaper in other places it depends on the fuel discount that Schneider give..
@@truckingwithjl7826 is Schneider fuel discount showing up at the pump? How do you know how much you save per gal from Schneider fuel discount?
You'll see the difference in the settlement
aint no way bro. Local LTL company driver and I'm 6 figures with 0 headaches. Banker hrs.
By the time you pay expenses you make less than a company driver make no sense
Just wanted to say I was thinking of you especially with all the ice storms coming through. stay safe and thanks for the video
I appreciate that! Stay safe too
