It should just be you claim the gift, the gift expires, and then you return to non-subscription status. After your 3 months end and you choose to claim the Nitro Classic, you shouldn't have to pay anything. Especially if it doesn't require a payment method.

It means that on January 29, 2021, your subscription will renew. Meaning that your free month trial will be over, and you will be charged $9.99 on that day. As long as you cancel before then, you should be fine and you won't get charged anything.

Hey! I got you. I'll give you an example of what I did. So mine said it would automatically renew on January 27, 2021. What I did was, I canceled it a few hours before it was January 27 (approximately January 26 at 11:30 PM). After that, it would be pending cancellation, which means that the process is happening and you'll get to keep your Nitro for a few extra hours. Then once the process is complete, your Nitro will disappear and you shouldn't be charged anything at all. That's pretty strange. According to this Reddit page www.reddit.com/r/discordapp/comments/cybezd/discord_nitro_games_tab_not_showing_up/ It says that you have to go to "Settings -> Appearance -> Show Activity Feed", but that was one year ago so it's probably outdated (I tried looking for it in my settings, but I couldn't find it on Mac or mobile iOS). The other solutions that I have are switching platforms (maybe try browser) or going to User Settings -> Discord Nitro (under Billing Settings). I hope you can get it figured out 👍

Here are the possible reasons according to your information: You're not on PC/laptop (though Discord doesn't say what platforms you can receive the offer on), your account is not old enough, or you simply haven't been chosen yet.

@@neacsulol Since it's a gift, I'm pretty sure you don't have to pay (I'm not entirely confident because I've never claimed a gift). It should just be you claim the gift, the gift expires, and then you return to non-subscription status. After your 3 months end and you choose to claim the Nitro Classic, you shouldn't have to pay anything. Especially if it doesn't require a payment method.

It means that on January 29, 2021, your subscription will renew. Meaning that your free month trial will be over, and you will be charged $9.99 on that day. As long as you cancel before then, you should be fine and you won't get charged anything.

“Switch Plans” is just there if you want to switch between Monthly ($9.99) or Yearly ($99.99) Nitro Plans. I’m pretty sure you can hit “Cancel” ahead of time and whenever your time is up, the Nitro will go away on it’s own and you won’t have to pay anything.

Hey! I got you. I'll give you an example of what I did.
So mine said it would automatically renew on January 27, 2021. What I did was, I canceled it a few hours before it was January 27 (approximately January 26 at 11:30 PM). After that, it would be pending cancellation, which means that the process is happening and you'll get to keep your Nitro for a few extra hours. Then once the process is complete, your Nitro will disappear and you shouldn't be charged anything at all. Basically, what you would do is cancel your subscription any day before March 6, 2021. For maximum use of your free trial, I'd say cancel it on March 5, 2021. Good luck and enjoy your Discord Nitro while it lasts!

Hmm, I'm not even sure. I've never had someone send me Nitro the way you're describing it. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't need one? It should just be a link that you click to claim, and then it'll go into your Gift Inventory. That's pretty strange. According to this Reddit page www.reddit.com/r/discordapp/comments/cybezd/discord_nitro_games_tab_not_showing_up/
It says that you have to go to "Settings -> Appearance -> Show Activity Feed", but that was one year ago so it's probably outdated (I tried looking for it in my settings, but I couldn't find it on Mac or mobile iOS).
The other solutions that I have are switching platforms (maybe try browser) or going to User Settings -> Discord Nitro (under Billing Settings).

I'm actually not 100% certain. A lot about this pop up is still unknown. All I can tell is that there's a slim chance it might reappear? But since you claimed it, it might not appear again for a while. Usually, with these types of free trials/offers, they don't happen very often, especially if you've redeemed one already in the past.

What we do know is that it only appears if you're active on Discord and if you've never gotten Discord Nitro, so it would make sense that you would never be able to receive the offer ever gain afterward.

Yeah, don't worry about it. I canceled mine last night as well. It just means that you'll have "extra" Discord Nitro for a little while until they can process the entire thing. You shouldn't get charged at all since you already canceled. Once the process goes through, then your subscription will officially end and your perks will go away.
