Angulimala
The full story of Angulimala, the murderer who became an arahant under the Buddha
Wat San Fran is proud to present stories taken from the Jatakas, Dhammapada, and Buddhist history. These stories often use past rebirth stories (Jatakas) to reveal the connection between past and present, and illustrate the relationship between cause and effect.

I have known about this story for some time, but this version went into deep details. What I used to take home from hearing this before was that no matter how dark ones deeds are, compassion and forgiveness exist. I do not believe all the story is telling. But have no way to ascertain it. I think the universe is very loving and compassionate. It helps me have hope for myself, when I know that Angulimala was forgiven, and so each person, no matter where they are can be saved/healed, including myself.
The animation and narration are excellent.
It made me cry so hard🙏💚
I have heard this story for such a long time, and I can only imagine before it in my head. It’s great to see now visualized. Many points in this video help me understand the connection and what could lead to this result.
Anumodana with you all and for the animation videos to reach and to help more people with dhamma.
bear it! Bear it!
You have experienced here and now..
the ripening of your karma, which you might have experienced over a year, many centuries, or many millennia. When one strives for final liberation in a lifetime, past karmas usually ripen quicker in this lifetime. Bear it, for we have already created the causes,
therefore the results are unavoidable. Use the time you have left in this life to achieve full liberation. Do not focus on that which is unavoidable, for that would waste your time. Focus on what you can achieve and go forth with all your might and achieve it.
( this quote will inspire me when I meditate in 'adhitthana' posture 🧘🏾😇🙏)

Did ever Angulimal after become bhikshu met his teacher in his life ?????
Need a new movie.

I had 1/2 kg meat or 1/2 liter milk from grocery..according to budda..how am I gonna suffer?
if you have 1/2 kg of meat intentionally, to quench your sense desire, then you have created bad karma, you will suffer by witnessing separations, death of your loved ones in undesirable state, loss of child, accidental death, not in this birth but may be in successive births. okay drinking 1/2 litre of milk, you might have starved the calf of that cow/buffallo, but if you purchased it from grocery store, for your meal, the cow earned merits for doing so, for starving cow, the milkman will suffer from starvation or less food, in this birth or next, and you will be indebted for that cows clan for many many births till the time you won't repay it.

@@watsanfran THE WOMAN AT THE WELL
ANANDA, the favorite disciple of the Buddha, having been sent by the Lord on a mission, passed by a well near a village, and seeing Pakati, a girl of the Matanga caste, he asked her for water to drink. Pakati said: "O Brahman, I am too humble and mean to give thee water to drink, do not ask any service of me lest thy holiness be contaminated, for I am of low caste." And Ananda replied: "I ask not for caste but for water"; and the Matanga girl's heart leaped joyfully and she gave Ananda to drink.
Ananda thanked her and went away; but she followed him at a distance. Having heard that Ananda was a disciple of Gotama Sakyamuni, the girl repaired to the Blessed One and cried: "O Lord help me, and let me live in the place where Ananda thy disciple dwells, so that I may see him and minister unto him, for I love Ananda." The Blessed One understood the emotions of her heart and he said: "Pakati, thy heart is full of love, but thou understandest not thine own sentiments. It is not Ananda that thou lovest, but his kindness. Accept, then, the kindness thou hast seen him practice unto thee, and in the humility of thy station practice it unto others. Verily there is great merit in the generosity of a king when he is kind to a slave; but there is a greater merit in the slave when he ignores the wrongs which he suffers and cherishes kindness and good-will to all mankind. He will cease to hate his oppressors, and even when powerless to resist their usurpation will with compassion pity their arrogance and supercilious demeanor.
"Blessed art thou, Pakati, for though thou art a Matanga thou wilt be a model for noblemen and noble women. Thou art of low caste, but Brahmans may learn a lesson from thee. Swerve not from the path of justice and righteousness and thou wilt outshine the royal glory of queens on the throne."
@@watsanfran “Ananda, an attendant of the Buddha, passed by a well near a village. A young low-caste woman, Pakati, was fetching water. He asked her for a drink.
Pakati said: “I am low caste and therefore may not give you water. Please ask nothing from me in case I contaminate your holy state with my low-caste status.”
Ananda said, “I am not interested in caste. It is water I am after.”
Pakati’s heart leaped joyfully. She gave him water to drink, and when he left she followed him at a discrete distance. Finding out that he was a disciple of the Buddha, she went to the Buddha and said, “Please accept me and let me live in this place where your disciple Ananda dwells, so that I may see him and supply him with what he needs. For I find that I love Ananda.”
The Buddha understood what was going on in her feelings and he said gently, “Pakati, your heart if full of love but you don’t understand your own emotions. It is not Ananda that you love, but his kindness. Accept the kindness that he has shown to you and in your turn practice it toward other. You have been born low caste, but in time you will outshine the glory of kings and queens.”

Maybe thats why buddha never blame him for what he did for the current cycle because he saw everything & the suffering ; only to intervene the suffering cycle & enlightenment reward for those who deserve 🙏🏻

Do Buddhist in some countries eat meat?? Did Buddhist monks accepted meat as offerings ??? What does buddhism say about meat procured by giving money?
He didn’t forbid people from eating meat but he taught people not to kill animals. That means that people can eat meat from animals that may die on their own or meat that ones do not conspire or have any intention in the process of killing.

If the story of Buddha was a manga 😂. I love this stuff keep em coming.
I’m watching this too get inspiration for my manga concept 🤣
Theres a japanese manga on buddha. From the author who created astro boy and dr black jack. It is amazing
is this metaphorical story of buddha?
No this is the past life of disciple of buddha "Angulimaal" and the past life is mean we are death and reborn again and again more that countless. if someone will be free from reborn ,they need to attain "Arahan" the Full enlightenment.
