when rickshaw drivers take you (foreigners) to a shop they get commission regardless you buy anything or not, his job is to bring visitors and receive commission and shop person's work is to try and make visitor into customer 👍 this is why you were taken to fancy shop
(we dont say tuktuk here, we call it rickshaw or auto rickshaw or just 'auto' only as we have cycle rickshaw also)

Tip : giving you a headsup, Learn to Say NO as sooner or later you gonna be asked for selfies by strangers, quickly say no unless it's kids or ladies only, bcoz 1 photo will lead to domino effect resulting in many many photos with each person, immensely increasing the chances of being groped/touched inappropriately or pickpocketing/theft. NO SELFIES with strangers 👍
You have an advantage you look indian and Sara looks like she's from northeast India so you'll be less approached for selfies.
On a lighter note you'll get a celebrity feeling while selfies when at that moment in real you're like a pink elephant , odd one among others. 🤣🤣
Try visit Varkala beach....it is one of the best beaches in kerala...and also there are so many hippie markets... beach dresses and some cool stuff to purchase...you can also visit different cafe's there....i hope you don't miss varkala....add this on your bucket list :)

that is not color or dye instead it's fabric whitener it's in blue color liquid form inside the blue bottle that lady showed you, the name of that bottle brand is Ujala which is literally hindi word for brightness , 4 drops in a bucket of water , dip and then sun dry, it will remove all the yellowness from white cloth. Going off white to snow white in the sun. It also comes in powder form whose brand name is ranipal ... few decades ago and the last generation used to call it as Neel which is hindi for color blue 😛

When you are coming to North India please wear more modest dress and avoid talking with locals. Stay safe and realize India is a large country and north is very different from Kerala or south.

you'll need to dress more modestly as towards north india mindset is conservative and generally females are more aware of their surroundings ... plus in top cities , people from poorer background/upbringing stare alot mostly out of curiosity.

I don’t understand what the problem is with showing bad parts. It is what it is. Honestly many poorer African countries are cleaner than India. So let them show what is obvious we see daily..
Nothing to offend you😂but no youtuber have not shown a single negative part of kerala,infact those foreigners travelled from north india to kerala have seperate comment regarding this part of india ,they told kerala is different, clean more secure,they told kerala feel like thailand,vietnam,malaysia etc.
