Nick cracks me up. He always looks so unbothered by it all. That being said, these guys remain amazing! John Taylor's bass playing gets better and better
classic. played the 33rpm in my bedroom 5000 times and drove my parents nuts back in the day. love. love. love. still enjoy 30 plus years later. timeless.
Best live act I've ever seen. I first saw them live in 1987. They opened up for Bowie (in Canadian leg of tour). The 5 of us came to see Bowie, we all left Duranies.
Wow, I'm feeling very old. I saw these guys in 1983 I believe, in Toronto, Ontario. It was a loud and fantastic time. My friend and I met a bunch of guys on the train on the way home. So we went to a great concert and got to meet guys during and after, some I'm still friends with! A great time had by all and they haven't changed a bit. Still have my huge crush on John Taylor, he still looks fabulous to me!!
I just cruised here from viewing two other consecutive Duran live performances, and each one these guys sound more amazing. It's always great to see any band performing live, playing real instruments and sounding excellent.
He's got a great voice. Some don't like it but it's very easy on the ears even if it may not always be completely in key. I'll take his voice over many others that are more highly praised. He's got the "It" factor which every pop/rock band needs to be a star. He's a star or was a star in the 80's.
I was in in the 4th grade and my boyfriend walked to my house carrying a boom box. As soon as he saw me he pushed play on this song. So nerdy but so fun looking back! We are still friends and I’m still obsessed with DD
I think I was 10. That was when my cousin, who's 13 years older than me, she started introducing me to all of the music that she was listening to at the time. :) I remember when the shoot for Arena Live was being done in Toronto. It was all over the news and Duranies from all over the province were flocking to the old Maple Leaf Gardens to see them. :)
I have loved Duran Duran since i was a teenager...seeing them on youtube they still got it and they really havnt aged much and they are all still hot. I never got to see them in concert yet...I hope to be able to see them soon...not sure if they will ever make it to Wiscconsin!
@@CelesteKTheNewWaveRevue Actually Andy needed some time off to visit his dad who was dying. He then didn't get a work visa for America as the management didn't apply for one for him and the next thing he knew, he was out. I still don't think he's entirely sure why it happened. Either way, it's a collaboration that's unlikely to happen again and DD are all the worse for it.
Fukcn awsome!!!...after all these years and still sound amazing. You know a bandcis great when they sound like their albums live. Oh and why is it everytime I lookup a music video there is always some idiot that will only comment the song name and the band..its like idiot we know that.
I love this song and the album that it's on. 7 and the Ragged Tiger really made them what they are. There's a lot of energy at this show. Simon and the guys have more energy than people twice as young as they are. :)
A few thoughts: - Has Simon LeBon always had the high kick? - Has Andy Taylor always been able to hit those high notes? - Somebody needs to give Nick Rhodes an antacid tablet, because those sounds are "from The Eternal, from Beyond."😊 - I love how this song was featured in "Man Up."
God do I love this guys!!! Saw them in concert twice last year and they were incredible!!!! Am very bummed that I'm going to miss their next stop here in New England in August!! They sounded as tight and as amazing as ever!!!!! I personally got sick of Andy's crap and love Dom!!!
Been a fan for 29 years and no literature on it. I believe it to be a song about blackmail. If you listen, he (SIMON) sings a lot about "leaving town" and "using it without bruising it". Just a guess but it hints at blackmail.
LOL! I remember watching an interview with Christopher Reeve's wife, ... back when he was in the hospital ... ya know, paralyzed, .... and she was (shockingly) explaining how she'd get up on his bed and ... ya know, 'do it' with him, ... and the interviewer asked how that was even possible, ya know, for him to ... um, ya know, 'perform', ... and his wife said, in a perturbed voice, 'Yes, he can do it, It's a reflex!' ... so .... ya know, ... yeah. The Reflex. :/
i can't get enough of the performances of this iconic song over the years. Simon's voice is almost the same as it was in the early 80's. Wow!
P.d John Taylor 💟🎸
They did NOT play it at St. Anne's Park in Dublin last year...........crushed.......
I love Andy Taylor's falsetto vocals in the beginning. So good to see the original 5 on stage together.
And let me just say , that Simon Le Bon just brings it vocally. Every damn time. I love the 5 together.
Rock n Roll Hall of Fame 2021. Anybody? Why Not?
If Rock n Roll includes pop then Duran Duran belongs. I love pop so I'm not putting them down but are they rock or pop?

2:20 love Nick's little nod of approval for Simon.
Best live act I've ever seen. I first saw them live in 1987. They opened up for Bowie (in Canadian leg of tour). The 5 of us came to see Bowie, we all left Duranies.
It's amazing, his voice sounds even BETTER after all these years!
They've got everything ! That's why they still HERE!
The Reflex....and my love for Duran Duran started,1983
Takes me way back! Simon LeBon sounds GREAT!!! Again, so glad Nick Rhodes still has all those samples from Seven and the Ragged Tiger!!
This makes me happy. All I have to say. So many memories.
EVERY Duran Duran song is a BASS CLINIC!!!!
Love THE BASS🎸
Lol, a lil bit...bass clinic. Showmanship lesson

And I also remember summer 1983 but alas in the USSR...

This band will stay forever

Yeah they've still got it! I don't know what "it" is that they've got but they've still got it.

Still the world's greatest band 40 years later. #DuranDuran4ever
Love the key boards response when Simon does his move after roundabout lyric

Still one of the best bands ever...even their new stuff rules.
I always loved Smon.Had a crush on him.lol he still sounds and looks good.So young then

patricia babich Vegas May 1 and 2
Andy Taylor Rocks!!!! km'n guys get together and tour to Canada
+ShuttleV2 That will probably never happen again because Andy doesn't want to do it again and the rest of the band doesn't want to deal with him

Great sound. They were firing in all cylinders that evening.
wow this concert looks great cause some bands from the 80s that still have concerts today most of their lead singers have lost their voices
OH....I lover this song..
This takes me to 80's .
enorme!!! j adore
Simon still has the energy of someone who's twice as young as he is. :)
Great time . Miss the 80's

This song changed me when I was a girl. I had to sneak to see the show. The first time I heard it was live 💕
I love this song and the album that it's on. 7 and the Ragged Tiger really made them what they are. There's a lot of energy at this show. Simon and the guys have more energy than people twice as young as they are. :)
Wow I miss the eighties great bands and music now everyone sounds the same DURAN DURAN great band seen them 4 times.

Who's Dom?
Como eu adoro esta banda! Todos os integrantes são superprofissionais. O vocalista tem uma voz única.
Mi fav song by Duran Duran 😊😊😊😊
This is so awesome, Simon Le Bon can really sing.. Nick Rhoades is awesome also..
Impecable !!
DD awesome as ever!!!
They are still fucking great!
The rhythm on the down note is incessant and quite heavy at 3:53 The Duran boys rock and make great evocative synth music as well.
Great band and the Andy Taylor is the best guitarist.get over himself aND b a legend.x

i get stoned just because of this bassline
What a super solid bass player. Though, I'm not sure at 4:42 whether he stopped playing intentionally or not.
Stilll the best..voice..wooowww
What was Nick singing /saying? 🇹🇹🇹🇹
Yeah, I can't remember where I read it, but I do remember that Simon said that's what the song is about
It's about standing up at a microphone and having no lyrics. :) From the Seven & The Ragged Tiger sheet music book (which I own) :).
Yeah, this was when I was 13! And they are better doing live now! What happened?!!!
You just can't help but love Simon's horrible dance moves. : )
That's what made Simon Le Bon famous. ;) I totally love his energy here. :)
simon had the best dance moves period! ❤❤❤❤
Nick at 2:20 liked Simon's move! LOL.
