I couldn’t be happier with how this video came out. Watching this I recall exactly how I felt in the moment I held my ponytail in front of me. One thing that was in the conversation that didn’t come out in the video is that the discovery of my hair loss came in a time where I was extremely stressed in life (surprise surprise) with so much going on and this was the last straw that triggered me into depression. I dealt with that for 2-3 months and learned ways to manage and deal with certain thoughts in various situations to better my mental health. Obviously hindsight is 20/20 and as great as I felt the moment I cut all my hair off, I know it would have helped me tremendously back then to overcome that insecurity head on. That situation was about 7 years ago and only a handful of people know I went through that. I hope I can at least give 1 person the confidence to know you can get passed that rock bottom feeling in life and know things are going to be fine. I can’t thank you enough Harry, for sharing your journey and providing a platform to help so many. Did the buzz cut yesterday... trying to get a certain haircut and trying to disguise the balding patch and finally cutting it all off the relief is real big weight lifted feels awesome !
It's crazy, with the hair and all that balding and thinning of the crown and recession on the forehead, he had a very hobo like look to him. Cuts it off and it immediately turned him to a very dapper looking dude. I told myself the day this happens to my hair, I will do the same thing and I'm already seeing signs of it on my hairline. Soon as I start balding at the crown or the hairline gets too out of control, I'm cutting it. Way to go man!
I’m 25 now & If I had a beard like either of these dudes I honestly wouldn’t mind shaving my head. I’m balding & I know at some point I’m going to need to shave my head I just hope my beard looks fuller by then.
My brother shaved his head for the first time when the front was thinning about a year ago. No tears, no regrets, little money spent on shampoo and suddenly the heat is more tolerable. I truly admire him for that. But for context, he's never had a friend, let alone a girlfriend. His looks have been ridiculed to his face to the extent of being disparagingly compared to mine presumably to cause tension at home because we look very similar and I'm not exactly anything to look at. Life can be cruel and though he hasn't taken all of it well, it has immunized him to other feelings we get. Not a great tradeoff, just pointing it out.
I just did the same thing, about a week ago. I'd had long hair for 26 years and it has taken me a long while to get used to the idea of shaving it and to work up the courage. But it was way too thin, receded. I'd rather look confident than deluded, so it was time. Clippers followed by a bald head shaver. I'm liking it so far. So much quicker to shower, I enjoy gym sessions better, it's nicer in hot weather, and saving a fortune on shampoo. I'm not used to the look yet, but I'm sure it's fine. Just working on the tan now. You look awesome with it shaved! I'm sure most of us do, even if we don't think we will. ☺️
I was hottest kid with sexiest hair till college....but after going through some major mid life health issues and depression i lost all my hairs and caught man pattern baldness...... everybody told me to do this do that....i just took my trimmer and shaved my head and bulked up a biy of muscle mass....now i am hottest adult with sexy bald and people take me more seriously now
This dude was combing his hair over his bald spot, putting a bandana on top and a beanie over that just so he doesn't look bald in front of strangers. And then, when he shaved his head he said he doesn't care if somebody doesn't like it. I'm glad he finally did it.
Shave it guys, clean it up. I was trying to hide it for 6 years until I had the courage to shave it all. I'm 40 now. Never feel better. You're going to have friends and family making fun of you at first. It's all good. They'll get over it.
I want to go bald eventhough I still have a pretty decent head of hair but I am losing it for sure and in the righ light you can see my scalp but like a said its very decent. Still going bald appeals to me
Denial was partial… It didn’t make the video but we talked about a moment when I actually went to the doctors and they told me it was stress related and not age related or bald pattern… it gave me hope thy if I got my mind right, my hair would come back. Then came embarrassment and once I developed a routine that worked for years it was out of sight out of kind until certain events or situations. Wish I would’ve cut it years ago…
@@juan9477 I hear you. I had that same reason when I started losing it at 23. I had gone through a nervous breakdown and then started noticing some thinning. I thought it might be temporary, but it still slowly progressed over the years. I'm 41 now and decided to shave it right after I turned 40. I had lost too much on the crown and felt it was time. It didn't like the way my hair looked in my 30's, but denial kept me from taking the next step. I'm actually glad I waited because going through this process it about acceptance, which can happen at different times for everyone. Once it does happen, then we are secure in our decision and don't look back. Congrats to you for following through. I wish you the best.
All that pain just because you were scared of taking finasteride. That's ridiculous. Had you guys started finasteride at first sign of hairloss = you would not have gone throught that much pain
This dude is a good looking guy, he looked good with long or short hair! If I were him I'd get SMP done and blend it in with the hair he has and keep it short. He still has enough hair on top for that to work and no one would ever notice once it were done- they'd just think he keeps his hair cut shorter now. Has a bit of a Roman Reigns look to him 👍
My hair is quickly going now and I get so paranoid with it. I use the hair fibres to hide it, but after going swimming with the family (in laws) and being accidently soaked from above, it just looked terrible and I was stuck in a situation where everyone could see. It was embarrassing and my confidence gone. I think I am more to shave it off (won't suit me as my head shape, build) but my issue is the look I get from loved ones when I say I need to shave it off. They say the words ok I get it. But you can see wouldn't like you doing it. Prefer this fake look you have now. Knowing to shave it off, they will dislike your appearance more. It's tough. But this videos does help and I think the shaved hair suits you much more.
Btw bro looks a thousand times better bald than the hair he had on his head. He actually looks more healthier in a way. Lol I thought I was going to go bald quick but I still have that same hair line from when I was in HS I’m really surprised it’s not gone but then again you can start losing hair at my age real quick I am 31 btw
I’m 32, and I thought the same, then I noticed the temples and the corners, have receded compared to when I was in college. I have long hair, too. It is thinner in the left corner. Idk. It’s hard to get a prescription for finasteride.
18 inches of hair. I just cut it all off cause I joined the army. For weeks after I felt like shit. But I look back at my pictures and I'm so much more grown confident now.
I always had longer hair, sometimes shoulder length. I noticed my hairline receding when I was 16, and thinning on top when I was 20. I was able to style it pretty normally until I was about 24. I cut it short and eventually ended up buzzing it all the way down when I was 25 to see how it felt. I was okay with it but it definitely aged me 10 years, so I grew it back out (short to medium ish) and used makeup and topik until 10 actual years went by. Late last year I noticed that my forlock had thinned to the point that my "tricks" no longer worked anymore. Instead of just looking thin 20% of the time, it was looking thin about 80% of the time. I still haven't ruled out a transplant completely, but for now I'm rocking a buzzcut with some facial hair and now that I'm actually 35 it seems to work.
gonna shave my head on 4.7 after pondering it for bout a year, its gonna be weird to see my head shape after like 25 years, the pressure / nervousness of not knowing how my friends / family will react is mind blowing
Hey bro would you say in the western world a bald head is more frowned upon in other parts of world? Because I grew up in USA but originally I am from Central Asia and when I visit there like Afghanistan, Tajikistan & Uzbekistan men out there rock that bald head with a cool looking beard and honestly look sick man out there it’s not issue but when in America it’s big issue? Or is it more of an individual thing?
Aw that's sad. You had pretty sick curls, reminds me of the drummer Nick Menza a bit. I'm a guy with long hair and I really hope I won't experience male pattern baldness when I'm an adult... still, looking pretty sleek with no hair and a beard!
I finally gave in and shaved my head. It was a shock, and looking back at pictures of me from only a week before I realise how good my comb over was. I can't say I feel like a weight has been lifted, I feel mostly regret. I'm leaving my hair to grow out, to see at what stage I either like it or feel the need to shave it. In hindsight I shouldn't have gone for it, i should have kept what I had. Anyone else feel regret? Did it go away?
I feel ya bud just find the length you like and do what's good for you ya know. no matter how we bald brother it's the confidence no matter how you look. grow it back and do what ya want. people say just shave it off wich is just fine but don't listen to them do what ya feels right
It’s a shock at first for a load of people because it’s such a dramatic change for everyone. Maybe give yourself a bit more time to get used to it, I did and now I love the shaved look and I get loads of compliments. You got to ask yourself why you did it in the first place as believe me there’s no such thing as a good comb over! How close did you shave it? Maybe try shaving it a different length and maybe grow a bit of facial hair if you can to compliment it perhaps? Good luck anyway.
I hear you, I think what made it an easier transition for me is that I used to have a really short fade haircut in high school so the visual wasn’t extreme. Find what length works for you and rock it with confidence… Good luck, you got this!
He looks 10x more confident, super happy for him

Appreciate it bro! 👊🏽
Dude went from Russel to Kratos
😂🤣 I have a coworker that calls me kratos now
He looks really sharp! Proper suits him
I appreciate it!! 👊🏽
Once you eventually shave your head you realise it’s all benefits and nothing negative to feel . It’s liberating.
I was hottest kid with sexiest hair till college....but after going through some major mid life health issues and depression i lost all my hairs and caught man pattern baldness...... everybody told me to do this do that....i just took my trimmer and shaved my head and bulked up a biy of muscle mass....now i am hottest adult with sexy bald and people take me more seriously now
Well done mate !!! It looks 100% better !!
Thank you! 🙏🏽
Welcome to the tribe brother
This dude looks so much better with the bald head and he looks super young with the short hair.
This dude was combing his hair over his bald spot, putting a bandana on top and a beanie over that just so he doesn't look bald in front of strangers. And then, when he shaved his head he said he doesn't care if somebody doesn't like it.
I'm glad he finally did it.
Looking good sir!! 👍🏼😊
He looks WAY better, great decision.
He looks amazing.
Looks a lot better mate 👍🏻
You look much clearer and fresh with this haircut
Dude rocks the bald look!
Shave it guys, clean it up. I was trying to hide it for 6 years until I had the courage to shave it all. I'm 40 now. Never feel better. You're going to have friends and family making fun of you at first. It's all good. They'll get over it.
Most of these blokes have killer beards tho.
He looks 1000 times better with the buzz cut as with long hair. Looks younger and chic.
It can only get better. ❤
Great teeth, headshape and the potential for a sweet beard. FTW rock that bro
I want to go bald eventhough I still have a pretty decent head of hair but I am losing it for sure and in the righ light you can see my scalp but like a said its very decent. Still going bald appeals to me
Sounds like it won’t be a hard transition once you make the decision. As you can tell in this video… it took me YEAAARRRSSS… Good luck!
"Denial" is the reason why he couldn't figure out why he couldn't cross the line. It's one of the phases in dealing with any type of big loss.
Has a bit of a Roman Reigns look to him 👍
homeboy looks sophisticated!
He looks so good 👀✨
My hair is quickly going now and I get so paranoid with it.
Looks 1000000x better
18 inches of hair. I just cut it all off cause I joined the army. For weeks after I felt like shit. But I look back at my pictures and I'm so much more grown confident now.
He looks really good with the shaved head.
This was awesome! I love that you needed alcohol for the courage! LOL I have been trying to get my brother to do this for YEARS! OH yes! Looks GREAT!
Good for you man. Ive got the same issue going from the crown but i cant grow a good beard like this dude and have a wierd shaped head so am hesistant
Holy. He looks awesome
He looks amazing after the buzz cut
Baldcafe pls share the stuff like grooming for bald guys
gonna shave my head on 4.7 after pondering it for bout a year, its gonna be weird to see my head shape after like 25 years, the pressure / nervousness of not knowing how my friends / family will react is mind blowing
where you from? Did you do it yet?
@@jonathansmith6850 Slovakia and gonna do it on Monday morning
@@EmKejOu oh cool! I'm part Slovakian lol. I wish I could do it for you in the States. I guess it is long?
Hey bro would you say in the western world a bald head is more frowned upon in other parts of world? Because I grew up in USA but originally I am from Central Asia and when I visit there like Afghanistan, Tajikistan & Uzbekistan men out there rock that bald head with a cool looking beard and honestly look sick man out there it’s not issue but when in America it’s big issue? Or is it more of an individual thing?
Wonderful story! That big step is always the hardest but it makes up for it. :)
Now when are you going clean shaven again Harry? 😅
He looks fantastic
Really suits you dude
Dude looks great
That’s your style even if you had the thickest hair in the world. Looks great.
Suits amazing on you!
Guy looks better the beard unkept would also but he looks happy good for him
He kinda looks like if late 80’s Paul Stanley grew a beard when he had the long hair in the thumbnail
Aw that's sad. You had pretty sick curls, reminds me of the drummer Nick Menza a bit. I'm a guy with long hair and I really hope I won't experience male pattern baldness when I'm an adult... still, looking pretty sleek with no hair and a beard!
excellent!!
Well, it grows back anyway, you tried it, decided you don't like it, thats fine, atleast you tried it
👍Looking much younger 👍
🙏🏽 Thanks!!
so fucking much better look!
