What I like about the colonel is that he at least was smart enough to know when to keep going and when to know that he has been beat. This dude is the one antagonist that I'll actually like. What I also like is the tip of the hat the colonel gave spirit. To me it's his way of saying well played mustang you gave me quite a challenge I admit defeat.
im 23 yr old , all my years of seeing movies, animated or real, i have never seen any one have the look of such clear and fierce determination right here 4:37
4:08 The classic do or die moment it's honestly better to live free and die then ever surrender yourself and your god given freedom. "You can't take me I'm free..."
He finally realized no matter what they did, no matter how long they chased after them, Spirit would never break and he and Little Creek would never stop fighting for their freedom.
But why the colonel and his men's horses still seem tame and obey them if they want to be free again as well as Spirit? Atleast Rain and the other indian horses obey Little Creek and his tribe, least because Little Creek and his tribe know how to treat horses unlike the colonel and Rain and the other indian horses live least semi-free.
If DreamWorks really started their disney arc and started making remakes and if httyd succed . This movie right here i want them to remake it in live action aslong they keep the charm of the original one
I would love to see modern takes on the story and characters but I think any live action version would not adapt well. You would lose all the facial expression of the horses and it wouldn’t have the same emotional resonance. That said, a well done CGI remake or spinoff could be really good
You know when I was younger I completely overlooked a lot of things in this movie . It is an animated kids movie after all so accuracy is off the table but when you are someone who has been around horses all your life there are some things that just drive you up a wall . The first one , the eyebrows , second always waving the head around when ever neighing , the third - human intelligence . There is no horse alive that is going to nod its head when a human nods their head first unless trained to do so . Of course though without these things , it would just be another movie that people deemed boring and uninteresting but for horse people like myself those things are maddening once you really pay attention to them .
Great fully the Colonel learned to respect defeat and let, Spirit go even after ever he cost and decided enough was enough that's why he saved Spirit after the last seconds when the soldier bodyguard of his on his right almost 5:20 got a chance to murder, Spirit in cold blood but great fully his very impressive leap of faith change his honour Colonel George mind indeed and after his honour the Colonel bowed his head in respect of defeated and when, Spirit did the same too in respect he learned a lesson as well he now knows he must stop interring of not disturbing humans from the US Army or the North America train workers if he wants to ride out in the massive countryside of North America forever or he will likely get put in a stable or farm yard field or worse get murder and shot by the North America military before long right guys it is possible remember, Spirit might not get tamed but he can still get defeated just like the cowboys or the battle at the Native America village right guys it can possible in anyway.

Spirit has shown courage and determination, that he has earned his freedom
I love how the colonel guy finally shows his respect to the horse after seeing what the stallion has done.
The absolute joy on Little Creek's face when Spirit offered his back was amazing
Friendship development💛🥹👊🏽
Spirit had to let Little Creek ride him so both could escape from the colonel and his men and would say he became semi-tamed.

Spirit really was ahead of his time, movie's incredible
Same here, I'm 24. Their expressions were really well articulated with the OST. The story itself + Hans Zimmer lead to perfection
It is one of my favorite parts when colonel shows respect to spirit.
my favourite moment😍😍😍😍 I love the moment when little Creek realises that Spirit took him on his back and he`s really riding him🤩🤩🤩

Weird that the US 🐎 were letting them escape while chasing them.
He finally realized no matter what they did, no matter how long they chased after them, Spirit would never break and he and Little Creek would never stop fighting for their freedom.
Most of those horses were wild ones that miss their freedom, they aren’t on the army guys side by choice
