Thank you for doing this! I don’t like how big the logo is so my first thought when I unpacked it today was to cut it off… I appreciate you posting this!
You need to realise that the fitting of the neoprene sleeves was functional as well as fashionable! A lot of people complain of getting nipped/pinched by the arm when moving. The sleeves eliminate this. I agree whole hertedly with the branding. It's gaudy and over the top. Whatever about a logo discreetly placed, this I wouldn't mind.
Thanks for posting! After seeing this, I bought one. Those logos were a deal breaker for me otherwise. Just posted a video cutting off the sleeves and paining the base plate black-looks much more inconspicuous now.
Genius/simple modification. I really don't understand why Rode wanted to make such a great arm be so ugly. If they won't remove the hideous branding, they should at least include a link to your video in their set up guide! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for filming this. You've given me the confidence to do it myself. Just one question, though. I'm concerned that without the sleeve, the cable clips will slide around. Is that an issue?
i have sent a number of messages to Rode about how ludicrous the gigantic logo is. If it wasnt on there I would buy 4 of them immediately. But nooooooo..their marketing people tried to get clever.
So do you think it's essentially still the same thing having cut the sleeves off? Or will they actually help reduce noise interference? I'm thinking of buying this arm and (as shown here) too cutting the sleeves off...
Hi there! Thank you for your efforts. Do you know if it is possible to remove the arm once it is fixed to your desk? Let's say I want to change later my desk, would I have to get a new adapter for a new hole in the new desk?
Hi there! so i have a question, i wanna use my old desk mount (drilled) for the PSA1+, do you know the measurement or the actual PIN that goes in the hole of the desk mount? thanks
@@YamahaBlue so currently I just got a sleeve from ebay on it. Its 21cm black zipped sleeve. Was only like 4 bucks. I only use it for the top bar. I still have a cheap arm but it does the job.

It's like taking Darth Vader's helmet off...but in a good way.
Thank you very much for trying this. I was looking for someone to remove the sleeves to get an idea of the construction. Found nothing until now.
most comprehensive video of this item, finally, someone who knows what theyre doing! thank you for this video
I'm about to cut the heck out of this sleeves when I get home!

Glad I found this video. Cut the sleeves off after watching, and it's way better. Thanks!

Thank you, I wanted the psa1+ but was worried about what was under the sleeves. Now that I know it’s great with the sleeves off that’s what I’ll do 🎉

You can unthread the nut and pull it out for future use.
Do Rose sell the sleeves of this Boom Arm as a seperate item?
So, the psa1+ is nothing more than a psa1 with a fancy overcoat?
No they are litte bit different. The psa 1 + is better one
