This is really beautiful playing from all concerned. Love the occasional 'edgy' tone - unusual for a hollow-style guitar. Alex Sill is a new player to me - first heard him on the 'Sixteen Men of Tain' video performance at the Allan Holdsworth Memorial (on YT) which was impressive to say the least! Definitely a guitarist I want to hear more of.
Hi, Luke. I really appreciate the kind words. Pretty much everything of mine can be found at my website www.alexsill.com, but I did compose music for a collaboration called the Trifield Guitar Project which is available for listening on Spotify. I'm planning on releasing a new recording this year, so stay tuned!
I’m so thrilled to have another guitarist to listen to! I’m missing Allan Holdsworth something awful! There aren’t enough options as good as this. I got here from the Kiesel and Real Allan Holdsworth sites, great stuff! The humility and professionalism are noted and appreciated.
Hi Alex. Is there any relation between the song Gaucho's Theme and Brazilian music? I wonder since "Gaucho" in Brazilian Portuguese refer to the people of an specific state in south region of the country. Anyways, please keep up with the amazing job, mate. All songs are made with the finest taste one can get out there. Cheers.
Hi, Obede Franklin. Thanks so much for taking the time to check out the music and for the amazing words. Gaucho was the name of my dog, and I wrote the theme for him after he passed away. I got the name Gaucho from Steely Dan's album of the same name. On a surface level Donald and Walter were indeed referencing the South American Cowboy image, but if you check out the lyrics, they tell a pretty hilarious story... My best---Alex

Soft and sweet. Quite a bit different than the super-strong drive of Simon Phillips Protocol 5
This is strong.
Much appreciated, Richard.
I am always blown away by this playing! I keep coming back! If I may, what guitar are you using? Thanks!
