I’m glad Sergio had fun for this set and dialed it back when he played bass for DGD. The respect was probably greatly appreciated. Shit had me in tears. Royal Coda did fucking kill it on a brighter note. Wish I could have been there.
Yeah man I was there and Sergio tastefully standing next to the Matt was the move and it didn’t go unnoticed. Shit was an emotional roller coaster
the other thing is that i think he was playing tim’s bass. sergio has broken a guitar in the past, and would be understandably more careful with the bass.
was thinking the same thing. He was very respectful, laying low in the back for the set and just doing what needed to be done. He really is too good for us.
Jesus Christ Kurt has come a very long way in his live performances. This is perfection
totally agree. First time I saw him in RC was at Strummers with Thomas Erak on guitar, he did horrible unfortunately
@@grandtheftarterymusic Whaaaat I've seen Coda every time they've played in SoCal and was at Swanfest and Kurt has killed it every single time. They're one of my all time favorite bands to see live
@@selenzr6339 Right!! He kills it everything
Gahdamn Kurt's still got it.
He's gotten better over these past few years imo. Saw him right before they released their latest album. He and they were great then but they've greatly improved imo.
He never lost it 💪💪
I am so happy Kurt is louder than hell he has always been my favorite
Was at the center of this Kurt's the fucking goat Royal codas current line up is untouchable!
The year of Kurt Travis. Haven't seen him this entertaining since Five Minute Ride.
PS: nobody, and I mean NOBODY beats Sergio's Stage prescence. He'd be a perfect fit for letlive if they were still together
All Hail SwancoreMan /m/
Dude frs💯
Yeah one side you have Sergio going absolutely crazy and the other you have will chill as a could be shredding, love it
He is like a young omar Rodriguez fr
That bass player is sick as well, but I totally agree
@@adrianb2232 Came here to say, He is the son of Omar on stage, he would fit into A Volta set EASILY!
Dude I was right in front of you at the beginning. I'm the guy with the long hair that started the pit with the dude in the pink shirt
Thank you for posting this!!
thank you so much for filming and sharing
Hnggg I missed this set showed up right after. Thank you to whoever recorded this!!!
You’re welcome thank you for watching it
This was the perfect set to start the day with :)
kurt femmedommed the vocals this performance
Thanks gan... 🙏
It's so wholesome to see Sergio having that much fun
I was there, the sound was so much better live. They were an absolute highlight at the festival. Awesome band.
well it was recorded on an iphone
I love the left guitarist's energy, make me thing of a young Omar Rodríguez
He’s very influenced by him
Awh man this performance is amazing! I can't believe I missed this because I was waiting in the merchandise line. Such a shame.
DON'T ASK QUESTIONS, JUST CONSUME PRODUCT AND THEN GET EXCITED FOR NEXT PRODUCT
bass player is such a vibe
Sergio is literally the second coming of ORL
I was literally just thinking the same thing! I started noticing that I got similar vibes in later Stolas, but it's only gotten stronger over the years
@@BigBadBalrog stolas is actually how I found TMV and they became my favourite band, everybody was comparing Sergio's stage presence to ORL and I was like ok I'll check em out ..
kurt killed it
Where did Kurt pick up that new technique I've never heard him use before
He seems to be inspired by Anthony green in my opinion. Dope band, remind me of the sound of animals fighting
Big time
damn it Kurt, i'm so hurt hearing you tearing your voice like that. i'm worried :(
I was surprised when I heard it
i love you guys but kurts performance isnt translating live. there is no tonal center. its a bit thrown. its going all head and all down in the chest which means he is prob drunk, hungover, or a wee sick . every time he touches the middle voices its rough
sounds like he was ill. there's too much distortion on the high notes, but it still sounds good.
I know the circumstances may have had an effect but Kurt’s vocal performance was amazing and perfect and tillan’s was just plain bad. Like gee DGD should bring Kurt back
I mean, you do know they just lost their bassist a couple weeks ago? Of course their performance is gonna be a bit off because they’re still sad about losing their friend.
Dude what the fuck did you expect? One of his best friends literally died a week before, you can imagine it would be a little fucking hard to sing the songs they wrote together without him there. We're lucky they even played for us man, have a little sympathy
@@selenzr6339 not sure what OP is talking about dude… all things considered, they did well and I appreciate them giving the fans a show given the circumstances.
@@Vendettaavenger Right? Yeah it wasn't Tilian's best performance fucking obviously but it was a really special performance and I loved every second of it. I'm lucky I was able to be there.
@@selenzr6339 yeah, it’s kind of hard to sing while crying. Felt bad for the band, but they powered through it. Oh, you were there? What was the vibe in the crowd?
