Paul lost to Kazuya in the Tekken tournament and didn't lost to Law in the canon, however the overall presentation how the story is told is great, this is the Paul we know on the early Tekken games the more confident yet not an idiot which in the later Tekken series made him up to be along with Law. Tekken 4 was the real Paul Phoenix not the goof we have right now, overall he's still one of the top players in the game.

Paul was a fan of Bear Killer Willy Williams as a kid, that's why he started to fight since young. And later he takes occasional work as a bouncer. So here he doesn't face Kazuya in the tournament? I remember that. After his parents died, Lee Chaolan was adopted by Heihachi Mishima. As Lee grows up, he learned some martial arts skills while getting into a family business. Lee also trained Paul Phoenix & Marshall Law to become the cool fighters I known today. At the 1st King of Iron Fist Tournament, Lee learned of his adopted brother Kazuya Mishima was seeking revenge on Heihachi for killing Kazuya's mother Kazumi Mishima & throwing Kazuya off the cliff. When Kazuya beats 7 opponents, he made it to the semifinals where he met Lee. Kazuya proved to be much stronger as he defeated his adopted brother. Heihachi called Lee worthless as he faced his son Kazuya in a final battle. But unfortunately, Kazuya defeated Heihachi with his devilish strength & throw him off the cliff. Kazuya became the new owner of the Mishima Zaibatsu as he smiled.
Paul was suppose to be the "Ken" but Namco just ruined his character. They could have diverted from that concept without him having a clown personality now.
I'm trying to give him a mix of the happy go lucky personality along with a more serious contender personality, I mean he beat Ogre, he's one of the strongest characters in the series, I hope you are okay with him losing to Law in this, Law is no slouch either, I feel like Law deserves a win after what they did to him in Tekken 8 so it's only fair seeing as Paul goes on to be largely undefeated in the later tournaments.
@@TheLoresmith No all is good, I don't really care whether he loses or not. The personality change starting from Tekken 5 is what made Paul unlikeable. He became the generic portrayal of americans by the east asian countries.
Then Paul meet his true powerful rival who Paul thought twice then many years later died then. that rival passed on the rivarly passed down to his son that offspring. What well trained in the martial arts was the son just like his father.

Oops, deleted my comment by accident, I was basically saying Paul came from the streets and isn't a fully disciplined fighter yet. He showed potential with the Kazuya draw which is likely through pure brute force, the fight is also cut short, leading to his obsession with fighting Kazuya, the loss to Law adds to Paul's character arc through to Tekken 2 and Tekken 3 where he defeats Ogre the god of fighting making him one of the strongest characters in the series. Also gives Law time to shine for a bit, makes things more interesting. Paul might get a rematch with Law.

It's the same narrator voice. Robert Belgrade, he is also known for beign the voice of Alucard in the original versions of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
I can’t wait to tackle Jin and Kazuya relationship, we never got to see how they ended up being together in the end. DmC is a very interesting one! That will definitely be a future project I think, and tingle, didn’t expect that, could be interesting 😄
The voice over for this reminds me of the voice used in the opening cinematic for Ghost Recon. I honestly think you could pull off a series of that or the original Rainbow Six. Hell, even Ace Combat would be great too.

They could made Paul loudmouth but also hard training and dedicated to his target guy. Instead they made him commedy, and dude with misfortune. And same with Marshall Law. They made Lars and Alisa tough what a joke.
Paul and marshall was supposed to be Namco's Terry bogard and Ryo sakazaki but harada did them dirty 😠
Do Marshall Law’s next please. I want to see his storyline
I had seen and got intrigued on the surface by the Metal Gear video...but its awesome that you are not only tackling Tekken now but also tackled the barely explored lore of good ol' Paul
these videos are sick!
You got a new sub, my friend
Keep up
This is so good! How come I didn't get to know about this.
Sorry if it's too much to ask. But can you try Kazuya, Nina or Michelle?
Sure! I plan on covering all the main characters from Tekken 1 before moving on to Tekken 2. 👍
@@TheLoresmith This is an amazing narration, you earned a subscriber from me and I hope I see more of the older Tekken lore.
@@ΦιλήσυχοςΠολίτης Well, I'm going to cover the main characters first, like Nina, Yoshi, Michelle, Law, King and Jack. Kazuya and Heihachi will be covered last as we all know their story, I feel like the characters outside the mishima's deserve the spotlight for a change!
And then, if you guys would like to see it, I can do the sub bosses from tekken 1 as well, like Anna, Armor King, Ganryu, Kuma, Lee, Kuni, Wang, P-Jack before moving on to Tekken 2.
@@TheLoresmith I agree with your rationale and I hope we see the whole cast of Tekken 1 before move to 2.
I especially would love to read Armour King's summary and then Wang Jinrei's, I feel they would be the most interesting aside from the main cast and pro/antagonist.
Will you also include Kazuya Mishima?
The need to add these episodes in T8KKEN
This was great thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Cool but why did you make him lose to Law?
Oops, deleted my comment by accident, I was basically saying Paul came from the streets and isn't a fully disciplined fighter yet. He showed potential with the Kazuya draw which is likely through pure brute force, the fight is also cut short, leading to his obsession with fighting Kazuya, the loss to Law adds to Paul's character arc through to Tekken 2 and Tekken 3 where he defeats Ogre the god of fighting making him one of the strongest characters in the series. Also gives Law time to shine for a bit, makes things more interesting. Paul might get a rematch with Law.
Everything is spot on. I really liked your anime video the story is excellent. My favorite is Paul Phoenix, and also my best friend Law. The story is great, but I really want a Tekken movie about Paul! 🔥❤
Paul: Now there's a woman I wouldn't get too close to.
Mileena: Afraid I might bite your head off???
Paul: I'd worry more about getting my teeth knocked out if I were you!
Love how he sounds like the narrator of T5 thats pretty dope 👌 💯
Very cool, buddy. Keep up the good work 👍
Kazuya Mishima’s story is next!
what tool did you use for the narator?
I used Eleven Labs text to speech, it's great check it out, you can google it.
@@TheLoresmith thx for the info
@@TheLoresmithDo you have to pay a fee to add in a custom voice like this?
superb!
your videos are really entertaining, paul has been the main guy i pick since tekken 2, i have mixed feelings about how they handled him in the later games becoming a joke, things are changing, anyways nice work.
Love the video but just like Tekken 4 sometimes I have a hard time hearing the narration over the background music. Thanks for the captions
0:12 I see what you did there
Honestly cool
Blocking with back turned is insane.
I wish you would've included how he came to love motorcycles and him riding one and power punching his way out of a landslide
Basically the Tekken version of Ryu and Ken
Their friendship was Similar to ryu & ken
Tekken Anime Lore Series >> Netflix Tekken Series
Tekken Bloodline was... ok? Not great, which I know a Tekken anime could be. More focus on the characters.
@@TheLoresmith It wasn't unwatchable but like other Netflix animes it looked like it was done in only a couple of weeks. Even 1980s Japanese animes were more detailed.
@@TheLoresmithtekken bloodline season 2 soon come 2025 tekken 4
Very Beautiful !!
More of these Tekken files please , we love it
Who drew this who animated this, this is amazing
It is possible to tell that most of the artwork was done with AI (background characters sometimes have finger oddities and characters don't have a super consistent face/style)... though I still have to commend trying to use it for a creative endeavor like this.
This explains a lot about Paul 👍🏼
The narrathor voice looks like Tekken 5
same
It's the same narrator voice.
Robert Belgrade, he is also known for beign the voice of Alucard in the original versions of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
Why young Paul looks a lot like Ken Masters! Very stylish this way.
Can you do Kazuya and Heihachi Mishima's story?
The plan is to cover every character in Tekken 1! 🙂

Although tbf, those two characters will likely be the finale of the series, as it’s the final of the tournament.
@@TheLoresmith kazuya mishima vs heihachi mishima
Dude u gotta do more videos...this is sick
Although iirc Paul's voice is higher pitched when he's young, you really did justice to both Paul Phoenix and Marshall Law 👌🏽🙏🏽💯
A Chuck and Bruce story retold😁
Jun next & Devil may cry Games 🎮 ... Plus tingle from Legend of Zelda 💙💚✨ 🧚♀
Tekken 1 and Tekken 4 paul is the best version of himself
So good!
awesome!
Revisiting Pauls lore from T1 and knowing after this his badassery would continue with him actually being the one to beating orge (before jin beat his second form).
Then skip to him now in T8. He feels like a different character, goofy and you want to take him seriously but you just can't. He loses to Kuma in T4, he's in debt with Law and hardly has any big wins under his belt since Orge (mind you that was since T3).
