J-hope’s verse wants you to grind in a club. The swag and his flows that keeps switching. He is exploring new styles and he slayed. Love the song! For vocals Jin and JK stood out the most and sounds perfect in the song.
One thing for sure j-hope is unpredictable. He could do it all. He has the voice, the swag and the inbuilt talent understanding beats and rhythm. He could never be boxed in. He could do other rapper’s rap but not many could his rap. His voice is uniquely his own.
This was an unexpected live & I'm so happy I got the notification.🦑🦑🦑🦑Looking forward to your reaction to the rest of the album. Especially to Jin's 'Epiphany' demo.

Run BTS gave me a lot of Baepsae references. For Run BTS I keep thinking of Baepsae where they had to run to keep up with the competition but now in this song, they're leagues ahead. Baepsae goes on about trying harder but effort really means zilch because other people have a head start but look at us now in Run BTS, we took "10 years" and "we're a bit fast". In Run BTS they're like "we're from the bottom" and Baepsae was "you don't have a chance" but Run BTS was like "we got us", meaning that they have themselves as motivators. They even used the term "million dollar" legs in both songs but one referring to other people and now this song's referring to themselves.

In "For Youth" this line "Oh my spring day, the flower I took care of, thanks to it I was true to myself, that reminded me of the Love yourself teasers and Fake Love because in the teasers BTS exchanged certain parts of themselves for other things that were an illusion for happiness but all turned out to be Fake Love. And in doing so, the flower in Fake Love could not bloom and the dream could never come true because they weren't (at least from a lyrical standpoint), in a place where they loved themselves because they were frustrated at the realization of that feigned love. But here in "For Youth", flowers bloom in spring and because that flower was taken care of, because that flower bloomed, it's a representation of them staying true to themselves and finding that self love in the process.

About 'For Youth' I always felt it was a song from the members to each other as well as for ARMY. Just because of the lyrics, so meaningful and beautiful. Love this song💜💜💜💜💜💜

Whether its partly the slowish tempo and the 3/4 time signature, like a waltz? I guess you get the same warm sentimental feeling, maybe that's why they chose to go with this tempo and time signature?

There's a Korean saying “Above someone running, there is someone flying” that means there is always someone who's better than you. in the lyrics BTS say "there's a running man, there's a flying man, and above all of them runs Bangtan."

I liked the lyrics(For Youth). The msg is sweet. 100% song for Army. Makes me feel soft and mushy inside. I do like Yet to Come better. It is more my rhythm then this. This is their answer to us that is why I think they used the sample of Young Forever from Webley. I agree not only are they singing this to us but they are also singing this song to each other. They so sweet, gosh darn it. The pauses at the start are jarring to me. They break my rhythm. The vocal line sounds good and so does the rap line. After a few listens I am getting more comfy with the song. =0p
Still with You is stunning. Angelic for sure. This was my 1st listen to this version of the song. Sounds like his singing from an old radio or record player. Just beautiful. At the end it made me think I want the rest of the vocal line to release an acapella version too! Oh my gosh they would all slay. i pray we get this in the future!
JKs My You was beautiful. It was truly a precious gift. Good spotting the 7 stars. oved seeing Zero O'Clock and other references. He made such a cute vid. Loved the new animal emojis. BTW, I was curious as to who wrote For Youth. It looks like a lot of people including Bang PD and Slow Rabbit which is wonderful to see them back involved with the boys songs.

Run BTS is a bop!! Already it became my favorite song production wise from them. I have had it on repeat since it came out. Also Jhope's part is so iconic its my favorite part of the song for sure!! Great work BTS!

You kind of hit on a bit of a sore spot with Hoseok-biases on Spring Day thing. It's the only song in BTS' whole discography that isn't a unit song that just entirely omits a member (at least with primary lines). Not Today only has like a single line of Jin but he's there at least. But Spring Day just left Hobi out entirely. It's kind of hard to swallow because the whole fandom calls it "The Queen" and it's been on the charts since it dropped. It's THE BTS song that will be remembered first in 100 years and it doesn't include Hobi. Like I'm OT7, a huge fan of Big Hit too but it really makes me bitter. I never include it on my playlists except on RUclips where I only include the live version that does include Hoseok. I don't particularly understand the reasoning because Hobi's voice obviously fits--he was good enough to do it in the live version. I always assumed that the music video drove the studio version and for the story, Joon's character being at the beginning on the train made more sense than Hoseok being there (?)...but seems like they could have found a way around that. Anyway, yeah. For me, Spring Day just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I'm glad you noticed though. You would be surprised to hear how many ARMYs are like "really?? Hoseok doesn't have lines??" every time someone brings it up on Twitter. haha. OOf.

I probably in the minority that actually loves the studio version of spring day more than the live I find the song to perfect. And that rm’s fits it much more perfect than jhope. I think the reason that jhope sings the live and not rm is because he is more of a consistently better singer then rm especially when this song came out. The reason I think they didn’t change the studio version is because the intro to the song is such an important part of the song and personally when I think of the song, i think of rm voice in the beginning not jhope. Whether that’s fair or not I don’t know but I do

About the switch between Rm and JHope voice, you have the same thing in Dope :
During the break, JK and Jimin are switched
In the studio version, it’s Jimin’s high note (not JK) you can hear the difference in the MV (but they already switch who sing what do you can see Jimin singing on JK’s lines)
In the For Youth do you hear the Forever young behind them singing, i heard it most behind RM's part!
Spring Day is a pain point. He has a beautiful voice and somehow he was not given a line. Nobody knows since his version is way better than original.
The guys have spoke many times about the process they have for recording songs. I would guess that at the time they recorded Spring Day they had more than one person sing certain parts and chose who fits best. It happens in Dope as well there is a part where Jimin sings and live it’s actually Jin. I try not to question their choices because we just don’t know and they do. Not that I think you were but they have said it plenty in interviews.
I mean, being disappointed about it isn't questioning. Just making that distinction. Because honestly, I think it sucks that THE BTS song--the one that everyone will remember in 100 years--leaves one of the members out. I'm sure they had their reasons (not that I can think of one that makes sense) but it still sucks.
@@jhopeur7219 I know that’s why I said I didn’t think she was questioning them. But we don’t know the circumstances around the recording of the song. Many times the recording is done way ahead so who knows what was going on. Like many things we find out so much later on or not at all.
@@christinabeltz2377 Sure. I'm still disappointed. Whatever the reason was, valid or not, I'm always going to be bummed that Hobi isn't in it. Aren't you? Bummed? Don't you wish Hobi could be in it too? I'd hope so. I mean, I'm a huge fan of BigHit, I don't expect there was any malfeasance, I respect their decisions...but I still wish Hobi had lines.
@@jhopeur7219 of course I’m always sad when one gets very few lines or can’t showcase what they can do but I also have become very zen about it because I know it’s 7 people in 1 song and it will happen on occasion. Doesn’t mean I don’t wanna hear them all.
One thing is always constant, RM is main songwriter of 99.9% of songs and rapline as a whole are main songwriters, composers of 95% songs. Main producer is Pdogg and sometimes its Suga,BangPd, SlowRabbit

It's not a "hiatus." They're still doing group activities. This era is just an era of 7 individual albums. The next era will be another group one. Big Hit can't make that any clearer.

not sure if you know this by now since i didnt finish the reaction yet but yes for spring day jhope doesnt have lines, same with not today for jin and other songs for other members this is because the members choose who sings what for each song as it comes up so them having so many songs and 7 members theres gonna be songs where each member either gets little lines or no lines thats where the solo stans come in and argue but the members choose that themselves and if a member doesnt have lines in one song theyll have it in another which weve seen. just wanna make that clear no one forces the members to not include one or tells them no you cant be in this song etc they choose that themselves based on who sounds best for that particular song. they dont do it as often as they used to i think (not sure tbh cause i dont pay attention to how long each member has) cause they saw all the fuss it causes but yeah. solo stans put even more pressure on them to give every member equal amount for every song wish people wouldnt count lines at all cause the members are the ones in charge of that. sorry for the rant lol
