The Federal Signal PA300 came out in 1983. The PA300 in this video needs to have the siren frequency range output adjusted badly. Its output frequency range is set WAY too low. It should be set to 1510Hz. This is done by adjusting the frequency range pot on the board inside the case. While holding the "SIREN" toggle switch down until the siren sound ceases to increase, and using a signal generator or some sort set to 1510Hz., adjust the frequency range pot that is located just inside the front panel to the left, until the output siren tone matches that of the signal generator set to 1510Hz. Once this is done, the siren will sound just like it did when it came off of the assembly line back in the 80s.
Well thanks to your video I know that the police sirens in GTA 4 and 5 sounds like a Roadmaster (espacially yelp and phaser) but with a higher pitched wail for GTA 5 and a completely different one in GTA 4 and both games have the FS Smart Siren air horn sound as well.
This version of the PA300 seems to be the one they used for the audio. ruclips.net/video/OCvLKWD4VXU/видео.html The wail and yelp on it sounds dead on, while the priority tone in your video is the same to my ears.
Awesome Video! I've been looking for a video of the Roadmaster for Years, we have one in Our Rescue Truck here, but I could never find one online anywhere haha
You wouldn’t be able to do a side by side video of the RoadMaster and a PA300 would you? I know they are the same sirens under different names but I’d like to see how similar the tones are between the 2.
allintodrumsandguns ok. Thanks. No rush. Trying to debate if I want to buy a RoadMaster for my truck or an older svp. We have a RoadMaster in one of our engines on my department and I love it.

Your right!!!
Fr it's so annoying to me for roleplay that's why my five m server uses omega 90
I found the origins of the siren. It came from a free sound site except for the wail from GTA 5. The wail sounds like a touchmaster delta in GTA 5
@@ytpd8934 Finally we know, good job, thank you
@@walter_248 I was wrong, it’s likely based off a PA20A.
Great siren, greetings from MX.
Miguel Conde Thank you!
And again a great video!
Greetings from Germany 😉
Henry S Thank you, much appreciated!
Another great sirine sound!
that speed wail must be where GTA IV got their phaser tone from on all the emergenc vehicles
avalanche cop I thought the same thing too when I heard it!

+itchyboy omfg no they are modelled after the pa4000
It’s not made by rockstars it’s just a stock siren

Jr_Firefighter99 That’s great! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Can you do another demo of the road master for online usage PLEASE
We have a galls road master in our old engine
The PA300 looks like it's STRAIGHT from the 70s.
I think it’s from the 80,s or 90,s

That shouldn’t be a problem. Might not be able to make the video right away, but it will be next.

Kieran Bricker Were there any particular components you were interested in seeing, or just a general look at the internals?
allintodrumsandguns yes
Kieran Bricker Ok, I’ll get that posted soon!
The one on the right is a ripoff to the PA300.
It's made by Federal Signal so it's more of just a rebadge
@@jacksvacssafety2620 I know.
