Thanks to Dovetail Games for gifting me the East Coastway DLC for this video. ^_^

the best driver ever, but you aren't ready for this conversation
What, I'm the best driver? No, no-one is ready for that yet xD
I found your channel a few days ago when searching for the Northern City Line, and I’m so glad I did! Great videos!
Tea with Hobnobs, Coffee with Shortbread and Hot chocolate with a Magnum type ice-cream lolly thing.
Also most of your commentary has had me lol-ing 👍
haha! Thank you - and what a selection of beverages and snacks! :)
When you slowed down to the 35 mile speed restriction from 80...
I remember being on a 377/3 and /4 combination and normally because the speed restriction was on a curve they have the signal outside the station at danger, but as soon as the train reaches the signal it changes to caution. One time, it wasn't as danger, boom, train went into 20 mph section at just under 50mph 😐.
The next day a driver missed the cautionary aspect and nearly caused a spad, first time for me on emergency brake
PS "If you see something that doesn't look right, speak to staff or text the British Transport Police on 61016. See it, say it, sorted!"
I've been on a real Southern train where they nearly missed Berwick, so it's easy to do. Driver braked very hard and only the last set of doors was actually still on the platform so they guard had to open them manually. The one person who went to get off he didn't pay any attention to and we rolled on.
Wow! So what you're saying is, me overshooting Berwick is actually quite realistic? xD
@@HeyItsAJOmega Absolutely
100%! I've spent many hours on that line between Hastings & Brighton, I always dreaded the slow service stopping at all stations. Brought back some memories seeing actually how well detailed the view is across from the viaduct in to Brighton.
I think Lewes should be pronounced Loos haha! Love how you overshot the platform! Made me giggle 😂
Hahah! I mean, I've never been to Lewes, so I don't know if calling it Loos would be accurate - literally xD And thank you, I'm glad my ineptitude was so funny :')
Enjoying your channel only discovered about a week ago, and this is part of the local lines for me.... I need get this extension, hopefully they have the diesel units from Eastbourne to Ashford international in this expansion
Unfortunately they don't have those units right now, more's the pity as that would be really nice to operate! Hastings DMUs would be a great addition too :)
@@HeyItsAJOmega I would love to do the marshlimk line with thenclass 171 turbostar dmu's
The other tracks after Hampden Park head to Hastings and Ashford
When you were talking about Polegate being a least used station (it's my local station), I think you mean Polesworth
Aaaaah! Yeah, it was either Polesworth or Faygate that I got confused with, it was a mashup of both :P
Glynde is g-lined. Lewes is lew-is and Falmer is Fal-mah. Hope that helps. :)
Brilliant, thank you for the pronounciation guide! I need some local tips sometimes xD
a nice hot cup of tea and either some sort of digestive biscuit or recently its been shortbread
Absolute bliss
Nice graphics as well. Makes it so realistic in the game. Maybe Southern should get rid of the Class 313s on the East Coastway and West Coastway lines and to use the Class 377s with Southern to inherit the Class 458 from South Western Railway to work on the suburban lines. Or to replace the Class 313s and inherit the Class 458s on the East Coastway and West Coastway routes.
As well to operate the Class 458s on the Bognor Regis, Littlehampton, Eastbourne and Hastings services. And to work alongside with the Class 377s used on those routes.
Those are some interesting suggestions! And yeah, overall I really like the look of the game. The lighting is nice, the trains look great, and the stations and nearby scenary is really good for the most part. :)
@@HeyItsAJOmega Nice. :)
The line that spurs off to the right as you pass hampden park goes to normans bay cooden beach bexhill hastings and then spurs off to Ashford international or ore
Also fun fact the points over the crossing from polegate to hampden park are trailing points so not motorized by a point motor
Oh brilliant! Thanks for the info ^_^
Great way to still do your thing with all the virus shenanigans going on.
Thank you! I just miss going to Brighton, tbf xD
Hey, in one of you recent videos you mentioned Rochester bridge station, along with that there is another abandoned station just 900 metres coast bound called rochester and theres also an abandoned line to chatham docks. Just thought you might want to know incase you ever made a video on the area
Correct! I used to live in the Medway area - and remember visiting The Signal Box model shop in Rochester a lot! - so I know of these places quite well. In fact I used to live very close to the old Chatham Dockyard line... think this calls for an explore!
@@HeyItsAJOmega I Live just up the road from the docks line. Tried to make a video on it for my channel awhile back but did the least used station in Kent instead
@@HeyItsAJOmega Hi I live in Medway and have been to the model railway shop many times, have you ever been on the Medway valley line
Probably polegate getting confused polesworth and faygate
Ahh cmon, the weather's actually been pretty good over lockdown!
flixportal =)
just to be that guy glynde rhymes with kind
I wish I had that dlc
Did you know Geoff Marshall linked to your channel for a Thameslink video
Do you find this game to have a lot of pop-in (shadows and even the rails) on PS4 as well as poor frame rate? I have it on PS4 and love it but I feel like the poor frame rate I always experience gives me an instant headache.
The framerate is mostly fine for me? Although it does lag a little bit at times, it seems to have improved over time. And pop-in is still a slight issue here and there - certain fence textures only pop in at the last moment, so what is a grey wall suddenly becomes railings as I'm walking past them xD
Is this the PS4/XBox port of it or on a PC? It drops frames a bit on the PS4 and I haven't noticed it doing so on your version (so assuming it's run on a PC?). A well-presented video, by the way. 👍
Thank you! I was a bit nervous doing a long unedited video like this, for fear of descending into inane rambling. xD
And it's actually the PS4 version! Running on a regular PS4 too, not a PS4 Pro or anything. There were a few dropped frames, and you can see at 34:48 where the entire game froze for a second or two. But for the most part I think my capture software records the gameplay at consistent 60fps, so that probably helps iron out any frame drops in the export. I think some of the more recent routes are much better optimised too, so hopefully a new game engine altogether for TSW2 will further improve performance - thought I'll likely get that game on PC. :)
Class 377/4, the worst variant of the Class 377,along with the 377/6 and 377/7.
How so?
@@HeyItsAJOmega 377/6 and 377/7 have ironing board seats.
377/4 seating consist makes zero sense, Driving trailers have 2+2 seating and the carriages in the middle have 3+2, just seems very odd. Least this is what I noticed in London last Friday.
@@XNick291X the 3x2 and 2x2 arrangements seem to differ every time I get the train. Sometimes they're 3x2 on the driving carriages, sometimes in the middle, sometimes none at all
August 6th it comes out
wait can you actually go to the beach in that game?
I wish! Haha, but not quite.
Seems like you uploaded this a bit late as we can now go out freely and Newhaven Marine now has a freight terminal it’s not new because there used to be a freight terminal
We're still being advised to be cautious about travel, and to be honest the weather has still been pretty naff where I am so that part counts! xD
Oh, and as for Newhaven Marine - the station itself is all but gone, and is set to be formally closed on 26th September this year. Nice that the freight terminal is still active!
I think it's pronounced Glynde.
Southern are allways late
So what you're saying is, me being a minute late into Brighton was actually realistic? xD
Glynde is pronounced "G-line-d
Ahh, thank you! Knew it didn't sound right how I was pronouncing it xD
@@HeyItsAJOmega You mean you're _not_ a regular at the Glyndebourne opera? 😉
These Class 377s have a dreadful forward view.
