Thanks for the video. Made the install super straight forward. Someone else already commented on the rear screws, but I'll also add that I unplugged the cable connected to the hopper. Means you can put the entire top to the side and not have to balance it anywhere. (also, minor point, that's the grinder safety interlock switch, not the power to the burrs. Ensures you can run the grinder if the hopper, or in my case an ARO espresso single dose hopper, is removed)
@@DylansHomeEspressoBar The only thing I'm concerned with is the weight of it as it feels slightly wobbly and definitely heavier than the original knob. I'm glad you mentioned the weight in the video because it was on my and my husband's minds as well.
@@DylansHomeEspressoBar Yep, same! I kind of wish I would have harvested some of the parts off my old Barista Express that I wore out (cost more to repair than replace at the time).

@@DylansHomeEspressoBar Received mine and only just installed it. Used your video to install and have to say... awesome instructions, thank you. For a simple change, it makes such a huge aesthetic difference to the machine. Looks like it was meant to be, love it.
Been waiting for this, thanks. Also can you put links in your description box? I was looking for that milk pitcher without the handle and possibly the real small pitcher you purchased?
I just recently updated the link in the description box for the latte art jug. I will go log on and edit the description for the little small one as well! I hope you enjoy the video let me know if it is easy to follow!
Great upgrade, looks better. However the loose wiggle concerns me. Is there any way to correct this? Perhaps a reinforce plastic ring or rubber gasket ring that fits inside gap/space between the plastic housing and steel lever to help eliminate issue? I was thinking of hot gluing the space between the plastic case and the lever as a possible fix, but need to order a lever first. From the looks of it. Basically the only parts that are keeping the lever in place (which is too heavy for the plastic housing clip) are the two screws, and the plastic clip. Seems like the internal plastic housing could break easy.
@@DylansHomeEspressoBar Really, I'm sure it's 50mm-55mm rubber gaskets. Easy to find at any hardware store in the plumbing department. My question is... Is it for the outside of the lever or for the inside the lever/plastic housing space? I was thinking of hot gluing the internal space between the lever and plastic housing.... Same as putting a gasket in a way.
With the steam lever there are two screws that hold it together. I think this is what you were asking and if not I’m sorry. If it is not please tell me and I can try and find out for you! I hope you enjoyed the video and welcome to the family ❤️
Very nice install video Dylan. Your calm voice and easy to understand description and video are much appreciated by me. I noticed once you finished the Crema Steam Lever install it looked a little wobbly when you touched it. Mine is very wobbly unlike the original twist lever. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this and if there may be a solution to it? Thank you very much.
Awee thank you so much ☺️ my steam lever is a bit wobbly however I’m not sure there is a way to fix it unfortunately. Just FYI - On the back, you only need to remove the "3" middle screws to lift the top. Thank you for the helpful video - took less than 3 minutes to swap out.
