we need more David Duchovny in our lives. Legend!
Always have needed David Duchovny in our lives
he's a treasure!@@stereokuuji
agent mulder and new pet sematary. ...hype. 😁
Mulders back
Agreed. I actually thought that was Fred Ward for a minute and thought, "Nice! I haven't seen him in anything in a while!" Then I looked him up and saw he actually just died last year.
I like that it's centered around Timmy (who was brought up in the original).. he was the story Judd tells gages dad about, the "sometimes dead is better" monologue that is so famous..ecxept the short flashback on Timmy in the OG was older and looked like a dude in his 40s, and his mom m dad were Judds age (60-70). I like the aged down Timmy and dad tho... it makes more sense that way if they keep the backstory of Timmy coming back from the war..
If I remember correctly, Timmy was a young man in the novel.
@davidfrey08 I never read the book, I was referring to the OG film..it was never specified how old he was but the actor portraying him was atleast in his 40s and his parents were much older as well keeping in line with the older actor... then again ppl just looked "older" back in those days lol..atleast to me (32).
@@ciscoak9074 I figured you never read the book. That's why I told you to let you know. Lol
@@ciscoak9074Timmy died in the war as a soldier, and his dad brought him back
Ohhhh, you're right! It makes sense now! Thank you!
this film made me fall in love with Judd's character. they did a good job with this prequel.
The first Pet Sematary movie (1989) was a horror masterpiece, the perfect campfire story.
i always prefered the 2nd one, just liked the look & feel of it over the original
@@djandtown the 2nd one was more fun but less scary than the original, love them both. :)
@@Gonk John Connor took me out of the 2nd one. ;)
The original 1989 Pet Sematary is great..the sequel "Pet Sematary 2" was terrible though. The 2019 Pet Sematary remake was alright. I hope this one will be great.
@@djandtownI love how Gus is the guy that plays Mr Krabs in SpongeBob lol he's also in Highlander and Dexter New Blood..He also did a bunch of cartoons
It’s hard to get over the fact that Elliot is without ET, let’s not forget the
Infamous Surgical knife that floats from one pet cemetery to the next. Hands down the original is and will forever be the Pet cemetery movie!
Stephen King is a superb storyteller, but the audio book read by Michael C. Hall truly jettisons King's writing to greatness 🙏
100% Michael C. Hall brings a whole different life to the story. His narration is in my Top 3 (maybe the top) audiobook narration of all time.
Wait, like as in Dexter Michael C Hall? I gotta check this out!
@@DanAltieri Yep! The same one.
@@dback68 Yeah I need those audio books lol. Michael has a perfect voice for that.
Yes, he's absolutely amazing. Campbell Scott reading The Shining is also excellent.
Henry Thomas, love that guy. Him, David and Samantha Mathis? I like it already.
This looks and feels good so far. Huge fan of the ‘89 Pet Sematary.
No que decia
This is a prequel to the 2019 one, not the 89 one
Correct me if I’m wrong, but the 2019 film is a remake of the 1989 film.
@@spriteking3944 ur wrong This pet sematary is a prequel to the first one it’s the story of Judd and his friend bill who’s son died from being in the war and bill brings him back but he isn’t himself and they ended up burning him in the house and Timmy grabs his dad saying dead is better dad if u guys remember from the first one except from the trailer looks like the story is different and not sure if Timmy died in the war from the trailer can’t wait for this movie.
@@brianshaner8865it is but it’s told differently the 1989 one is way better and they killed it when they made the lil girl the one who came back instead of the father but this one is a prequel to the 1989 film not 2019 this is the story Judd tells gages dad about his friend bill who’s son Timmy died in the war and he brought him back and they ended up burning Timmy and bill in their house if u remember that from the first one but the ages are different in this movie it looks like judds way younger and Timmy’s dad looked like he was 70 in the old movie well they all looked older but in here they all look younger and not sure if timmy still died in the war in this movie I think they changed it like they did the 2019 movie
Excited for this one and the whole cast is amazing!! David needs to do more horror
Was a bad movie 😂
Not as good as first but we already know storyline. Maybe that is why 😊
Just watched this, and it was actually good. Much much better than the remake..
If you know the books you'll know the story they use as the basis for this.
the remake was horrible
A prequel to Pet Sematary.
Well, Pet Sematary is The Texas Chainsaw Massacre now...
The book was absolutely amazing! Easily my favorite horror novel. I’m excited. I heard the chapter about Timmy Baterman was actually added some months later and not actually apart of the original story. It was definitely worth it! Thanks King!
Agree! Great to see this about Timmy and the father's
Loved the original and remake so Im definitely seeing this too. Sometimes Dead is better.
Will Elliot be able to provide Mulder with any more info on aliens?
You show legendary actress, Pam Grier for 2 seconds and it looks like she's gonna die.
I hate when they give away who's gonna die in trailers 😒
If they're showing it, then it probably is a trick. She's a strong, black woman, don't you know. They never die in movies anymore!
Can we please get a Cujo retelling already?
Can't wait to see what they did with "the people under the stairs". Now that was a great masterpiece. I really love that movie.
Happy to see Natalie Alyn Lind in a new project!
see THIS is how you keep a franchise alive. Not some weak cash grab remake.. a genuine continuation that expands and adds to the original story 🙌🏽 this year’s going crazy for horror comebacks; Evil Dead Rises, The Exorcist and now Pet Sematary.
Yesss
Exactly!!!
Lol
Just wait, if this cash grab prequel does well. They'll milk it and make yet another"remake" of the original, just within "this universe".
Edit: It's getting roasted on RT with 17%. So it's not doing well. LOL
Evil Dead Rise was good. Decent. But that’s just me. And I don’t think it was a remake. But there was a remake some years ago.
This angers me not because it’s bad, but because it’s really good. This is the kind of legacy sequel/prequel that could work great but they don’t release it theatrically
I hope this movie is a 2 hour movie. The one in in 2019 felt short and rushed.
Only 82 minutes...
Fun fact the monster behind the Pet Sematary (The Wendigo) was in another Stephen King story where we see that he has other powers than bringing back the dead
What story?
I’ve always wanted to see the Timmy Baterman story fleshed out!!! In the novel it was utterly terrifying, the 80’s movie didn’t give it justice and the remake never mentioned him. Let’s go! Thank you for this!
The problem is in the book it was scary because it was short and to the point, now they're going to drag this out to two hours and throw in a bunch of stuff never in the book, they're taking something that was supposed to be a deep secret and making it like "Oh, yeah,. the entire town knows and we do it all the time" modern Hollywood cannot leave anything vague, they need to beat on everything
This isn’t going to be the Timmy Baterman story from the novel, this is going to be more along the lines of that abysmal remake. The Baterman backstory shown in the 89 movie will be 10x better than this glossy trash.
Unfortunately too much does hang on that. In "pop psychology," it does pave way for Judd compelled to more cemetery drama, but high functioning resurrected zombie with adult freedom to enter town/drive etc. It's a lot. Studio/director can easily do it, but it's different world now then King's scenario of he was a literal zombie a minute...
It's so so so bad
@@jackthomas6952yes oh wise one, teach me ur ways of knowing movies/series will be good or not.
This pet sematary is a prequel to the first one it’s the story of Judd and his friend bill who’s son died from being in the war and bill brings him back but he isn’t himself and they ended up burning him in the house and Timmy grabs his dad saying dead is better dad if u guys remember from the first one except from the trailer looks like the story is different and not sure if Timmy died in the war from the trailer can’t wait for this movie.
This Pet Sematary is a prequel to the 1989 movie. The 27-year-old Jackson White is way too young to play Judd Crandall in the 1960s or 1970s. Judd was born around 1909. So, he would be in his 50s or 60s in the 1960s & 1970s respectively. I don't know why writers and casting directors insist ignoring the original source material of books and movies.
It is the 2019 they did the prequel to. Johnathan Lithgow, who plays Jud in that version was 24 in 1969. They just changed Timmy Batterman from serving in WW2 in the novel to Vietnam in this version. FYI, Timmy was not mentioned in the previous films.
Pet cemetery bloodlines looks wicked streaming on paramount plus October 6th the prequel origin story before pet sematary looks cool scary and violent with David ducoviny playing in a great roles in this film by looking at the tralier
That.... looks..... epic! But I'm still not signing up to paramount or any other streaming service! 👍👍👍
I might do a free trial for this one. Lol!
It's shocking to me that you can put David Duchovny and Pam Grier in a trailer and still have it look this uninteresting.
I cannot wait to see this..I remember Judd telling Louise about his dog coming back and Timmy Batermann..I had chills so bad and now they are showing what had happened with that story..Awesome! I would also like to know what happened to Ellie in the aftermath of it all..I'm speaking about the OG movie and not the 2019 remake. I was not ok with that one. It ruined the story imo
Yeah the 2019 movie took things way too far. The original was amazing, loyal to the book and Zelda was nightmare fuel, they were never going to match that. As for this one, my fear is they are going to take too many liberties in stretching out a short back story into a full length movie
According to "Pet Sematary 2" she went insane and plucked her eyes out and ended up in an Institution.
Liked both the '89 and '19 Pet Semetery's. Hopefully this will be just as good.
It wasn’t LOL

Holy moly saw David Duchovny after many years
I can't wait to see that Movie...
I remember reading the book years ago ( I’ve read it three times down through the years, at Halloween time). The chapter with Timmy Baterman scared me so bad and I can’t wait to be scared again!
I really love the idea of expanding the Pet Semetary world, but there's something about this trailer that feels generic and the delivery of the lines is robotic and commercial. Not having a lot of faith after that terrible reboot.
The dog in odd posture is yelling :
"i'm not a remake!"
This actually looks good!
This shud have been in cinema. Anyways, hope it's good.
They’re showing waaaaaaaaay too much in this trailer. Low-key felt a bit dragged for a trailer
the original was the best, you can't beat it
This looks great and very dark and scary too
YES YES!!! i was hoping they would make another one 😁
His name was Timmy Batterman. He was a local boy.
Time flies. Who doesn't remember Henry Thomas as a kid in ET?
Yeah I don't know
Wasn't really interested in this but now knowing Duchovony is in it ill have to check it out.
What happened to films being actually scary? This is just loud and full of jump scares by the look of it.
Why is this movie being released on a terrible streaming service. Instead of being released in theaters.
Big truck goes WOOOOSH...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Trailers always look awesome
References to Children of the Corn, The Thing, and many other eggs in this preview✔💯🎯🍻
Ok..I get Mulder being in this, but they got Ms. Pam Grier out here in these horror movie streets too! Looks like it's going to be good.
This looks good I'm definitely going to be watching this
Ayuh, the ground went sour..
🤘🤘🤘
hopefully 🤞 it’s good! it looks alright
Streaming? Not going to be in theater?
Dean: What’s dead should stay dead!
Looking good, deserves a torrent download.
This is bizarre. In the original story Timmy comes back after being killed in WW2. I assume they're going with a Vietnam era story this time, but that would make Judd in his 40's by the time of the original novel. They should have kept it closer to the source material.
The remake's trailer was better 🤔
Maybe it's rhe nostalgia in me talking but as good as it looks, it feels generic, not much different from any other modern horror movie/series. The simple plot and simple nature of the original was part of what added to the scary setting. A very small town where a new family experienced a tragedy more horrific than any movie and a dad so grief stricken that he couldn't stomach the thought of never seeing his baby boy again to have him comd back even if the boy was dead set on killing him. These simple stories for me are more impactful with less plot twists and turns than trying to do too much to keep the viewer entertained.
Sometimes simpler is better.
Paradox of simple people didn't leave the cemetery alone, King did not get in weeds so now studio wants to atone, and it is annoying plot hole neglected, because ambiguity is art, but stupidity is patronizing and terrible film. So now studio rescue in star wars tradition...
This actually looks pretty good. Hope it's not a disaster like the remake and the sequel that came after the first one
(SHORT FILM IDEA FOR PET SEMATARY)
Paramount + ?
May I have a suggestion for a short film on your site,
I’ve recently watched all the Pet Sematary movies, and even though they weren’t the greatest, the one character I wanted to see the most was, The Wendigo.
And so, I would like the idea of having a Prequel short film to the Prequel of Pet Sematary: Bloodlines. Where the Mi'kmaq tribe first encounter their undead loved ones or freinds, and through out there’s glimpses at the (10ft tall?) Wendigo, maybe even at the end a short but good look at it too.
If you read this, thank you for your time.
I like the red truck showing at the end since that’s the truck that killed that little boy in the OG Pet Sematary
I feel like no matter how many times these movies get made, the wendigo gets glossed over every time. I'd prefer a prequel based purely on the initial event that soured the burial grounds.
This actually looks good. 👌
Absolutely terrible acting and the story and writing were terrible who writes this rubbish really.
“Alexa, make me a generic trailer for a generic sequel to a movie that was done better in 1989.”
Hoffe der Film kommt ins Kino und dann auf Bluray!!!
I saw David's face and came to see what this was. Yay
No Ramones song?
The Timmy situation is in it!in the book Timmy was the scariest part bug in the movie zelda was.
So yeah my boy David is in this flick I’m super stocked
Better than the remake?
Not necessarily
