VICTORIA'S VICTORIOUS VOCAL EXERCISE PROGRAM - a different kind of singing program! MORE INFO & ORDER HERE: www.healthyvocaltechnique.com/order-victorias-victorious-vocal-exercise-program/
Can You Suggest Me any Vocal Exercises Program for free.... I would love to buy your program but I can't do that right now. Thanks. I want to want to become advanced singer.
I love this! I teach voice, and I have to deprogram every student out of the chest vs head mindset. I use almost every one of these exercises with my students, and they all work. Your videos are a real find!
Wow, especially good video and, given your high standard, that's saying something. Seems many classical composers throw the tenor into the passaggio and leave him there to sink or swim, so this is important information. PS. you are the only teacher I've ever heard talk about yodeling. Very glad you are on RUclips.
thank you for sharing. I've taught over 800 students, lead choirs (U of U), church, etc. and have sung professionally. Semi-retired right now but still teaching quite a few talented students right now. I have one baritone age 17 with a gorgeous voice but a huge break between chest and head. I've tried tons of things to lighten this ... still searching for more answers and solving this with him.
My problem was pushing up too much vocal weight. Now that I've developed better breathing technique I've gotten better control of the breaks... and higher notes 🎶😇🎶
Trying to sound good with my worship songs to Jesus ! This is helpful. Thanks for breaking down the walls of head vs chest voice and fighting that shame of going to the chest one. I wasn’t t allowing myself to do that bc I didnt want to sound weak, but that light voice isn’t a problem to bridge into awwww
Brava Victora! I love watching your videos and then practicing what you have taught. I also have many bookmarked so that I can work them again and again. I am so grateful for you and your work.
Thank you so much Victoria for sharing your experience and wonderful teaching. It is so amazing when I heard your teaching that's what I'm having this breaking problem once in a while when I'm nervous 😅😜
Thrilled to find you channel this year, Victoria!!!! My degree is in music education with my proficiency in piano and my secondary in voice. I didn't get all that I needed for teaching voice and here I am at age 56 teaching a lot of voice lessons for the first time. Boy howdy, has your information been saving my butt big time in my lessons! I had to sub this week for a voice teacher and had everyone singing "Mya!" LOL I'm so grateful for your hard work, amazing techniques and giving spirit! 🙏💕
When I am going over the break or Passagio, I begin to feel a strain and I can tell my voice is wobbling between the two ranges and I don’t have a great sound. Although, I have had a few voice teachers tell me they can’t notice this, but I feel it and I know that the break is coming.
Hello ma'am. I bookmarked your channel in my device because I really love your lessons and I want to improve my singing. Please continue creating videos like these. Thank you. Love from Philippines!
Couple of questions. First, you talk about chest vs head voice. I took classical voice when I was growing up (circa 1980s), and those weren’t terms that were used. I’ve watched a number of videos, and figured out chest is what we called full voice. However, there seems to be a lot of disagreement on head vs falsetto, with some labeling them as the same while others describe falsetto as that weak or breathy head voice you talk about. The terms I was taught were falsetto and power falsetto, but falsetto was just normal soprano range singing. Power falsetto was how I could belt out Pat Benatar. As a 1st soprano it was well within my range, but not at full voice. Normal falsetto isn’t the right tone or style. So, can you clarify the terms used now in relation to that? 2nd question, in relation to not sounding like it’s 2 different voices, how do you blend in a song that starts in your chest range and then jumps an octave into your head range? There’s no blending through the pallagio because it jumps over it, so it jumps from one range to another. If you jump straight from chest to head (what I would call full voice to falsetto or power falsetto depending on the style) how do you make it sound natural?
Hey, thank you so much for all the wonderful advice and tips! I was wondering if you or anyone in the comments had any suggestion or if you had any videos on how to pick songs that exercise certain areas of your voice that you are working on so you can apply the techniques and exercises and see your improvement.
For men, is there a first bridge and second bridge? For me, as a male, G4 is where I used to "crack." I managed to smoothen this area after much practice. I'm now able to bring my "mixed" voice up to A#4. This area is more difficult for me as I tend to experience a crack if I don't maintain a good posture and breathe with perfect support. Wondering if A4-B4 can also be a second bridge for men.
I noticed i have vocal breaks at lower noted. My voice starts cracking as i go lower High notes dont seem like a problem to me and i can transition smoothly
On the descending or ascending 5 tone I can't detect any blending. It just seems to be a part of my voice. I have a lot of overlap in my voice. Chest and Head. Now I did feel my soft palate raise on the higher notes. Do you have a warm up video? Enjoyed this of course!
I use both - it depends on the exercise. Certain consonants help with cord closure, clarity, and boost the tone. In my vowel videos, I do not use consonants. I explain this in my most recent video: Be a CLEAN Singer (vs SLOPPY) - My INTENSE Exercises! ruclips.net/video/h9OqNHDFMh0/видео.htmlsi=TE3hKTLGOswTm6Is
I just, I cannot feel the migration when I do descending scales it feels the same I try really hard to analyse how I feel but it just feels like im singing until I hit the so called break and then it all falls apart into vocal fry and pure head voice
Without seeing and hearing you, it sounds like you need to work on your mixed voice to help with your blend. PLAYLIST on Mixed Voice: ruclips.net/p/PLaWjWxiTysDCCsBgnhWjfRRAWIPflxZp1
What if instead of a break or hole it's a whole Swiss cheese of points that don't produce any sound at all? It's like they're paralyzed at certain tones... it's demoralizing...
Without seeing or hearing you, I would try humming and sirens over small intervals in those areas where you have little or no sound. I also recommend seeing an ENT dr to examine your vocal folds.
@@Victoria-Victorious Thanks so much for the reply. I'll keep working (gently) and try to look into the ENT. I found something about mucus viscosity and hydration, too, so I'm giving the old stovetop humidifier a try.
@@Victoria-Victoriousim sorry lol. but i do have a question if you dont mind. my vocal range is a2 - f4 with my chest voice. i can do the head voice part up to C5 but when im going back down to about e4 when do i bring out my chest voice again.
@@Victoria-Victorious thank you I will. I definitely need to find a vocal coach. I've been learning a lot from RUclips but I need that one on one. And I also need to take the vocal exercises serious
This is a bit frustrating for me because too many of you are teaching how to erase or smooth out the break, and there’s not enough people teaching how to actually sing with an intentional break. That’s a very popular stylistic technique, but for some reason that’s not taught on RUclips… Why is that? Some of us already know how to smooth out the break or even sing with mixed voice… But we have no idea how to have that intentional bump in our voice where we go from thick to thin in an obvious way. It’s very disheartening.
Your solution is simple. Just type in your words and do a search here in RUclips. I just did and found lots of videos on how to sing with a break or flip! Just so you know, far more people are really troubled and very discouraged by a break and really need the help that I and many teachers provide.

Thank you very much! It helps a lot

Great that you acknowledge this! Now you know how to practice to fix it! Make sure to watch my videos in my Playlist on the Passaggio (Bridge).

ruclips.net/video/G2asN02Xmrk/видео.html
can you make a video on your thoughts on singers that are also smokers. Do you think singers should smoke in general?
I have not made a video on that because smoking is very bad for the voice.

Yes, there are 2 passaggi. That is the typical 2nd passaggio for tenors.
@@Victoria-Victorious wow amazing!
I still have a huge obvious break when I do the siren exercise.

No, I do not have a generic warm-up video because every voice needs something different. That is why I created my audio exercise training program.
👏👏👏👏💕💐💕👏👏👏👏

Is it migrating from head voice to chest voice and vice versa or only from chest to head? Thanks
Both! The goal is to make bridge smooth!
Ma'am is it's okay to sound like vocal fry in my trancetion between chest to head voice.hope notice ma'am God bless
