I have a few greenhouses, im wanting to heat them with low cost, i spend around 5,000.00 to heat 2 greenhouses with coal and wood furnace in each house. I have been looking at rocket stoves but dont know how safe they are. It looks like you got something good going on.
This is NOT a rocket MASS heater. Where is the MASS to store the heat as a thermal battery?!. The reason people are able to heat their homes with a PROPER rocket MASS heater during the winter using tiny pieces of wood, is because that's all you need, and then the charged thermal mass of the cob/masonry which the ducting runs through, retains that heat and SLOWLY releases it over time. This is simply a massive rocket STOVE that spits out all the heat into the air, and is NOT stored. To me it's no wonder you gotta use big pieces of wood. This basically negates the purpose of building a rocket MASS heater in the first place. Just sayin ;)
I hear ya about the bell, but he does have almost 1,000 pounds of mass in the firebox or burn chamber and he said it stays warm for a long time. That much mass in the burn chamber can't be ignored.
I was wondering if anyone ever got around to building a big one and YES YOU DID !!!!!!
Great job.
Would love to see a follow up vid with a look under the plenum, and some technical details on the size of the opening out of the firebox to the riser!
Look for the thread huge batch box rocket stove.
Would love to see more on how it's put together.
thank you this is very inspiring
Amazing ....can we see more please ...I'm very interested it could save many a business with these rediculas fuel bills
nice! :) )))
Eric, this is genius. About how much mileage can you get out of a cord of wood heating with that sucker?
wow, love it, its a monster

Can you just let the exhaust inside green house
Nice job, looks good. My only concern is as your firewood supplier, are you going to be buying less wood from me? J/k, hope it works
Good for you
Would have liked to heard your story but the background noise was too annoying possibly wear a personal mic next time in that environment.
