Feinberg might be a better speedrunner than Couri (even tho they’re both soooo good) but Couri is the perfect coach. he knows what to say, how to explain things in the easiest way possible, and how to go from beginner to advanced. he’s by far the most knowledgeable coach out there
Couri could be faster than feinberg if he didn’t only do no reset seeds for years. But like, no way to know lol
i genuinely think maybe the guy that spent hundreds of hours watching alongside ludwig play mcsr might be better at coaching then the guy who's used to coaching people that already have experience playing minecraft. pretty much nobody that couriway has ever coached is like ludwig. The guy is an anomaly because he played basically zero minecraft, watched basically zero minecraft, he probably didn't even know the rsg wr before his first ranked match.
it doesn't matter how much experience couriway has, ludwig is the one case his experience does not apply. feinberg has way more experience with ludwig, and thats what matters here.

BELIEVE ME i lose my mind every time i watch the clip of him trying to bridge with slabs and fences, HOWEVER, him genuinely putting the effort in and winning is so much more entertaining than watching him lose over and over. @boop7441feinberg being his coach would literally provide the most banger streams and banger ludwin content. myself and many others only like to watch ludwig play minecraft if feinberg is watching. those ludwin videos would perform great even if it was the same minecraft (not literally but fundamentally) video every day for 2 weeks straight. also minecraft is the reason the ludwin channel is doing so well for him. (but that’s not to say his ludwin channel didn’t perform well before he just always has consistent content due to minecraft which equals consistent views.)
Because he only does it one or two days a week, not 2 weeks straight of 7+ hours a day
I like the coaching comms because it's a double edged sword. It's very helpful, especially during mistakes or unexpected adjustments, but you can definitely see it slow her down at times as she switches from what her gut is saying to what her coach is saying. They were a perfect team though and that pearl hang was crazy

To be serious for a moment, Couriway is a really really good coach not just from his experience, but his strategy when it comes to teaching. Jumper has experience with minecraft mostly through parkour (but never speedrunning), and those skills definitely carried over. Her attitude and willingness to learn were also extreme positives, along with the time she was willing to put in. She also had the ability to apply what she was taught extremely quickly and accurately. All of these factors are what lead her to to the win

"I can't make a video on me practicing Minecraft Speedruns that would just be a bad video." Well Jumper made an excellent video on her Minecraft Speedrun Practice so that sounds like a Skill Issue to me.
Jumper is one of the goats alongside people like jojosolos. She plays actively in hardcore minecraft servers (not hardcore, but HARDCORE), and she's also really obsessive over things if she wants to master them, which I don't think is true of ludwig. For example, she spent a week jumping as much as she could and did 2.2 million jumps, just to live up to her namesake.
i mean, he spent three months trying to get to gold, and was so committed that, during a thirteen hour long stream, he asked chat to make songs for him so he'd have the motivation to win. maybe he didn't go for MASTERY, that's 100% fair, but, like, he definitely became obsessive and FOUGHT to get better. and even now, he's determined to get a sub-20 time in rsg minecraft now that midoffs is over

@seivheDragon has a death animation that doesn’t start until it’s over the fountain. Since Jonnay was already at the fountain, his dragon started the death animation first, which made it die faster even though Jumper killed hers before him.
@seivhe Zero cycle is a lot faster overall than (most) one-cycles, but the dragon-death to portal-opening part of it takes longer. Johnnay got the perch just in time.

@seivheThe dragon has to travel to the portal post-mortem to explode above it. Jonnaay's dragon was already above the portal, so his game ended much sooner than Jumper's, bc Jumper's dragon had to travel before exploding.

It's unfortunately how Zero cycling works. The dragon will only do its death animation (which is the trigger to spawn the exit portal) when it is over the fountain. When you kill the dragon off of the fountain, like in a zero cycle, it takes a bit to fly over to the fountain to start the animation. That delay ended up being just enough for Jonaay's Dragon (which he killed directly over the fountain) to be killed and start the death animation first. It's an insane run by any standard though.
