Glad to see someone my age has great taste like me - leading off with Twice as Hard. I'm surprised more people don't demo pedals with Crowes songs. Love your playing and your channel.
Black Crowes - Twice as Hard Led Zeppelin - Kashmir great video and great playing! i have gone back and forth on these pedals and circuits trying to fine the one that will last and not disappoint in a year or two...this one with the vintage/modern mode seems like it could be the one! any chance One Control Wednesday’s will do give always for these fine products?!? 😏
Great question. It depends on the video. But it is typically a reactive load. I do, use a mic for all amp demos and situations where I would need speaker distortion.
Jay I'm new here and your playing is inspiring! I want to ask you two questions, I saw a video on youtube where you played this crazy solo with a broken string, can you talk about what happened and how you managed? That was insane! Also want to know what kind of case you travel with to hold your tele. Thanks and keep the amazing work coming!
Yeah, I definitely break LOTS of strings, haha. My number one tip is to always slightly bend all your chords and single notes to keep what you're playing in tune. It may surprise you, but I travel with my Tele in a Reunion Blues Continental Gig Back. I've checked it on flights all over world from Canada, Europe, Asia, to the US without a hitch. I was hesitant at first, but after watching the vid where they threw one off a 2 story building, I was sold :)
Because of this demo I got the honey bee... jay I was wondering what amp settings you recommend .. I got a fender super sonic 22 ...just the normal channel or with fat mod ? Thanks
Super Sonic 22 is a really fun amp... Kinda reminds me of those old Prosonics they used to have. I actually keep things on the Normal channel and only engage the fat mod when I am wanting to do a clean solo or a clean lead line. Thanks for writing :)
Yup. That would work. On a Deluxe, I'm usually 6 on the Treble and I set the bass depending how loud I am (Less bass the louder I go). Another fun setting is 1 on the Bass and 3 on the Treble. By dropping the bass and treble, you reveal more mids for a fuller tone :)
love the videos, love the playing, love the tones, love the guitars.
Hyper tush, yeah baby.
Glad to see you're back
:)
Nice one Jay. Mad Professor SHOD is one of my all time classics!
Legit content from this guy, professional presentation and excellent playing.
Kashmir for sure there were a few other but I’m not sure on the names. Great demo and great playing. I haven’t tried that pedal yet...

Ps: we need more Trilojay songes those are awesome
Yeah, the Trilojay vids are my favorite ones to make :) Bigbsy Teles are my favorite: just grab a Mastery Bridge while you are at it :)

A giveaway would be a great idea. I think we will see how the interest in these videos go and take it from there :)
How is this one with a VOX AC15 with Greenback?
How would you compare to Nobels ODR-1?
Hmm, no one has spotted the black keys gold on the ceiling yet :)
I really should check out the yamaha you play - seems really solid
It is the Japanese Revstar Pro. Definitely my go to HB guitar for the last few years.
Awesome video as always! Would love to see a video of your recording setup - do you use a mic or a reactive load box?

JayLeonardJ so you would recommend everything g at noon for the pedal?
Because the normal mode it’s pretty much like your deluxe 65 right?
