When you’re tracking your migraines…track your food too! Food can definitely be a trigger!

Yes I just started this with my most recent migraine after reading about how much food can trigger them!

Yes Julie make sure you get bloodwork done to see if you have low iron. That was the reason I was getting bad migraines. Now that I'm not anemic anymore for the last 3 years I have not had a single migraine! Praying you find out what is causing them soon, hugs ❤

Hey Friend, Happy Saturday. I love seeing everything that you picked up for you and your family from the grocery store. ❤️ I’m glad that you’re doing well with no spend February and that you’re shopping your pantry, fridge, and freezer. ❤️🥰

Julie, have you heard of the book “Fast Like a Girl”? I just got it and oh my goodness such good information. It educates all about the woman’s monthly cycle, what’s actually happening hormone wise, and how to best support our hormones with food, exercise, and fasting. This lifestyle has helped SO many health issues. Amazon has the book, I just ordered a copy for my mom!! Hope you get some answers!! ❤

Dairy is a common culprit. Especially if practices have changed… bc that’s something they never disclose. Food dyes, certain fragrances (candles, etc) are also big triggers. Also watch out for msg, carrageenan & aspartame. I’m a CNC and thought I’d share a little bit in case it can help. Our fam enjoys watching your content :)

My migraines increased when i entered perimenopause. It's actually one of the symptoms. Perimenopause can start as early as your mid 30's and last 8-10yrs.

I don’t get headaches easily but when I do sometimes I realize that I’ve had to much screen time. You started putting more videos out on the made to homeschool site correct? I can’t recall when you started that, but I remember you talking about it on your videos that you’d be sharing more content on there. Maybe it could be related..🤷🏻‍♀️ either way, I hope you feel relief soon!

I'm sorry that you suffer from migraines. They're awful! I found that chocolate, MSG, high sodium foods, and certain additives triggered mine as well as weather changes. I also suffered from low iron and once that got corrected, my migraines definitely improved a great deal. Sure hope you find your triggers and get some relief!

I found to be very sensitive to SOY and that was one of the biggest triggers for my migraine’s. You should look into it. Also makeup also gives me bad migraines.

One of the main triggers for me where it came on really fast is MSG. A lot of bouillons, packaged foods, taco seasonings, etc would kill me till it passed. Monosodium Glutamate

I'm sorry to hear about the migraines!
If you can't get anywhere with the regular Dr., look into a functional medicine Dr. They are so helpful, they look at your body as a whole and not just the problem you're having. Many Drs in the States do telahealth, and aren't covered by insurance, but that means you could probably easily be a patient. A good functional Dr, should look into your past health history, take labs, look into your gut health, and look for food reactions.
A good one is worth the cost! Three people in my family have suffered with autoimmune issues which have been out in remission through functional medicine.
Sorry for the long post 🤪

Migraines are tough. I get it from the weather and my cycle. I also get them from muscle tightness. I have had less since getting massages to work out my neck. I hope you get answers. I haven’t gotten any answers either. It is a rough way to live especially with kids.

Do you have the big case lot stores in Canada, like Costco or Sam’s? We recently got a Sam’s membership and it’s a great place to stock up on cases of things like cans of diced tomatoes, pastas, paper products, etc

My 13 year old daughter used to get a migraine about 4 times a year. The last few months she gets them sometimes every week or two. They are bad enough for her to miss school and have to lay in bed in the dark. I have no idea why they have increased so dramatically as of late. My sister and a co-worker had the ear piercing for migraines. They both said it reduced them by probably 75%. They both were suffering the migraines really frequently prior the the piercing. I hope you can find some relief and answers quickly.

Do you use any artificial sweeteners? I had a migraine that lasted 3 weeks. Ended up in the hospital. And come to find out I had a mass on my pituitary gland. Anyways my neurologist told me to stop all artificial sweeteners including stevia! Stevia he said was one of the big ones! They are endocrine disrupters. Long story short 8 months later… I stopped all artificial sweeteners (read all labels on foods) not just making coffee or teas and the mass went away and my pituitary glad shrunk is almost back to normal. No more migraines. I also eat a fairly clean diet. Minimal processed foods. Whole Foods is what I try to eat. Maybe this will help you.

    • @mamatofive1
      @mamatofive1  7 месяцев назад +1

Ok this one is interesting…I don’t put stevia in recipes or anything, but it is in my electrolyte drink that I have every day 🤔
