Best episode of all-time! It's like he actual has super powers, but tries to convince everyone that it's just magic. It was great seeing more of his real personality here, he must have felt really comfortable with you guys.
My father was a card magician and I know some of these tricks. I don't want to expose them but I will tell you what you see on cam, because anyone can do that. The first concept to most card tricks is called "the force". You force somebody to pick a card that you already know, or can find out what the card is. If you go to 16:59, you can see David look at the cards that were under and over where Logan just took the card from. It only takes him two seconds while Logan and Mike are distracted, they don't even notice. From that point on, David has complete control over the whole trick. Where David excels at though, is that he has a whole team helping him, manipulating. That is why Dave wanted to be sat on the right side and not the left. Again, I am only explaining what you see on cam.
I loved this episode and to answer your last question… i think the format worked perfectly for the guest. You don’t get much better than David Blaine and the format worked well with his tricks etc and not having his tricks be a whole segment on their own. I liked the layout too because you guys were closer to the camera so we could see your reactions it was more intimate.

The guy was so mesmerising. He had a series in the UK where they hypnotised a member of the public into a 'zombie apocalypse' scenario. He would analyse and explain the choices they made throughout. Was unbelievable television

As an Impaulsive fan since episode 1 i would say this is my favorite episode cause David Blaine took over but not chaotically. True entertainer. And Logan was finally engaged throughout the whole thing compared to moments where he looks bored or zoned out. Also mikes wording and questions were so on point he engaged david blain very well.
