    Thank you for your explanation. I am a first-generation student, so I am completely clueless about a lot of things. I learned a lot from this video.

      It you mean good, it's low. You'll likely qualify for a partial Pell Grant and other aid. Here's the chart and article you can reference: thecollegeinvestor.com/43805/student-aid-index-sai-chart/

    So basically you’re considered high income if you have a full time job

      Need a lot more context here. What's your SAI? What's your income? Parents Income? Your assets? Parents' assets?

    What if you are 40 years old? Do they still want that info?

    • @Thecollegeinvestor
      @Thecollegeinvestor  2 месяца назад +2

      What do you mean? If you're going back to school at 40 and want Federal aid, yes you fill out the FAFSA. You'd simply be an independent student so you don't supply your parent's info.

    If my SAI is zero and max amount on Pell grant , but yearly tuition is 28k the balance is on the parent or scholar ship?

    • @Thecollegeinvestor
      @Thecollegeinvestor  18 дней назад

      The information goes to the college, who, in turn, will create your financial aid award. The college may offer grants or scholarships, but they don't have to. They'll send you the letter, and then you need to figure out how to pay anything due - whether by loans, savings, parent help, or a combination of it.
