Hey everyone, quick disclaimer! I think this little car is fantastic and a great buy for the money. It's served me really well for 2+ years. These are just the things that are bad about it :)
Your Ibiza is low specced-low trim, therefore it got hard plastics. There were upper trim Ibizas with soft plastics and better quality materials inside the cabin.
I really enjoyed you video hehe, and i agree in your points, I just got an Seat Cordoba the 115 hp version but interior and dimensions are basically the same as your except mine has a trunk. but yeah the power in the car is slow slow then you get the power. And about the space I really can't understand my first car was a chevrolet chevy C2 (mexican car) and it is a smaller car but it had mores space at the back seats it is weird, the seat is bigger. Also I was about to type "hey, you can adjust the steering distance, but you figured it out! :) Still Seats are nice litlle good looking cars
My favourite thing about this car is how heavy the doors are to close and the fact that the glove compartment doesn't have any side walls, so as soon as you start rummaging around to find something, everything just falls onto the floor
I got mine a month, it has a LPG conversion on it which actually feels like it pulls a bit faster than on petrol. Was thinking about upping the brakes, tires and shocks/springs but I havev to say the gearbox is absolutely phenomenal.
I got the 4 door Ibiza recently and I love how well it goes, my only qualms are the easily broken window regulators and the rear door locks failing, my car lock is currently stuck in a unlocked state and will lock very rarely and 3 dead windows. 🤣 I always thought the road noise was bad so at least I know that's not just me. I also find going over speed bumps relatively slow can be very harsh compared to my previous cars.
1- It's classed as a supermini so it will be snug. 2- It's load because it small, it's worse In the 1.9 TDI believe me lol. 3- Small engine and petrol, get a better diesel engine ;) 4a- It says in the manual you can adjust the column. 4b- 1.4 engine, buy an exhaust kit. 5- Mod the suspension?
agree with all EXCEPT power! mine is 1.9TDI 96KW or 130BHP its lieke a bullet.. there is no lag between the power pedal and catching speed.. absolutely love it even now in 2023 I still have my 07plate Ibiza its now my fun car for weekends and until the diesel is baned I will keep maintaining it and having all this fun on roundabouts and traffic lights leaving unsuspecting racer boys behind love their facial expressions once they catch up lol
i love my mk4.. but the only thing i hate is the green algae that somehow builds up around the outer rim (inside) of the rear light clusters.... its not too obvious , but once you know its there its soo annoying!
I have a 2010 1.4 Ibiza sport, I completely agree with the road noise, most annoying thing about it although I have really low profile tyres and big wheels on it so I've always blamed that. I got my car lowered because the gap in between the wheel and the wheel arch was massive to me. And it sits so nice when it's lowered! Completely agree with this video tho! my Seat Ibiza is still my favourite car I've owned! 🖤
Dude, I have the 1.2 (68bhp) version of this car.....now THAT's painfully slow. It literally asks you "Would you like to go faster sir?" 5 seconds after you put your foot down, and then it acelerates....slowly xD Cheers mate!
Got the 1.4 Sport 16v, love it to bits. Hit 124mph on the motorway no problem, Upgraded the sound system and all the speakers and chucked a sub in and sounds insane. Only issues I've had are my front bushes went and gear box bearings went which are a common fault with these cars but overall love the car done over 25,000 miles last year no issues and all mots come back no advisories!
Used to have one of those, it was a 1.4 like yours. I think it’s more like 75hp stock. Not the most powerful but still great fun. I had 2 12” subs in the back so I never noticed any road noise. 😂
there were two variants of 1.4 75 and 98 (both were later replaced by 85hp variant). 75 has a bit more power in mid range and gearbox more suitable for higways.
i have a 2014 Ibiza as my first car. worst things is the way reverse gear is awkward to get in sometimes and the mirror viability (side) isn't great. road noise is a pain as well
i own a cordobe (basicly ibiza but slightly longer ) and its got SDI engine so i agree with what he said but my 5 things i hate: 1: noise (a lot of road noise, a lot of engine noise (sdi), and couse its high you get windnoise if you drive faster than 160kmh (100mph) 2:its not very confortable.. seats are not soft and springy enough and ride is very very hard especialy on lowprofile tyres (but at least its very good fun in the corner..but seats dont have nough side support) 3: SDI engine and gearbox... engine is too noisy and rev only to 4500rpm and transmision only has 5 speeds so maximum speed it can achive is only 185kph(115mph) but othervise very realible no problems what so ever and transmision feel is one of the best i ever driven..(if you are buying ibiza/ cordoba get 131 6 speed TDI ..way way better ) 4: steering wheels ..yes it is adjusteble but if you are quaite tall and you want your legs streched the wheel is still too far in the dashboard 5: rear seat space ....you cant realy seat more than 4 like he said but those 2 in the back are actually going to become your seats lumbar support . (on the plus side the trunk is absulutly huge (even bigger than bmw 3 series)..offcoure cordoba, not ibiza BUT NEVERMIND ALL THIS .. IT DOES NOT HAVE A SINGLE PROBLEM WITH REALIBILITY ...my has allmost 300k km (165 000 miles) and i only had to replace the cutch ...runs like new
Have one too, only thing I hate is the cup holder. When it's out I'm forever catching my knuckles on it when changing gear. Plus it makes use of the radio impossible. But as you say, it's tiny in there so I suppose compromises had to be made.
I have a 1.2 12v version and the things I hate are its slow and 70mph it sits at 4000-4500 rpm but I'm getting a 1.9tdi 130pd soon so hopefully that's better
I had the 1.4 75ps... I did like it a lot, but it was S-L-O-W. I had to rev the nuts off it to even go anywhere. I also didn't like that there wasn't enough "stops" on the door hinges so I kept having the door close on my legs all the time. I bought a new 1.2 TSI sportrider ibiza 5 years ago and it did away with all the little things I didn't like about my first ibiza.... and the TSI is amazing to drive, pulls from very low revs I'm very happy with it!
My 100ps 1.4 isn't fast either so I feel you there hahaha. The doors on the 3 door are massive too so no stops and big size = fun in parking spaces. Really tempted with the new Ibiza Cupra, looks awesome fun! They are great little cars though :D
I actually have one and it actually is my first car but mine is a 1.4 with 75 HP, but it has about the same torque... My one isnt a fancy facelift model though, its a 2003... What you said about the car is actually all true^^ I'm actually quite impressed by the sound sytem, especially because everything else is a bit cheap on this car... Here in europe I feel like every second Ibiza is a 3 cylinder, so I'm glad to have the 1.4 16V 4 cylinder :D
Sound system is actually really good, I've got the one with the Blaupunkt system from stock too. The 1.4 16v is the way to go for sure, good fun even if you have to rev it a bit haha.
I have The same car. A starter too. I got my license 2 years ago so this means we took it The same year😂. Great car, i like to drive it faster on streets. It s enjoyable. On long travels The problem is that i feel it unstable over 120 km/h. And cheap interior. The rest is great.
Man I feel the same about my Ibiza which only got 75HP and if you go uphill you really need to do a kickdown to even hold the speed -.- Replaced my build in radio and now the music sound level is just on point :D
This is an 'older' model Ibiza and yes would be less refined than the later versions. I have test driven the new Ibiza 2016 registration and new Ibiza 2013 registration and they were both excellent, and both felt like what they are being a Polo with the 'S' badge. I drove a Polo between 2013 and 2016 and could not fault it. Now back to Seat, I am currently driving a Leon 1.2 tsi which was new in 2016 and I absolutely love it. Cover the badge, blind fold yourself and you think you are in the Golf which is what it basically is. Indeed I love the Leon so much I would have another one tomorrow. If I were getting a smaller car then it would be a Polo or Ibiza no question (both are better built than a Fiesta, and I know as my wife has a 2012 registration Fiesta).
I'm on my second 1.8T FR now and they're wicked cheap fun cars to throw about but you're spot on about the build quality, it's pretty poor. I had an A3 in between and I miss the comfort when I get in the Ibiza. But then the turbo spools up at 2500rpm and I forget all about the diesel A3. Thankfully mine's a 5 door so it's slightly more practical than usual but it really is cramped inside, especially with a massive baby seat in the back. I basically only have the front passenger seat left for adults to use haha.
i m thinking of buying a used seat ibiza 2008! There are 2 cars that i have seen! The first one is 75bhp 1.2 and the other one is facelift 70bhp! Both of them are 2008 date. Which one should i buy??
one thing that bugs me about my car is that i dont have one :'( the amount i would pay or the amount of people i would kill for a car just to chill out in and go on journeys with is like infinite
I have a 2004 Ibiza, to beat the road noise I upgrade the front speakers, head unit, tweeters and added two 10-inch subwoofers.... After all that the road noise doesn't even exist anymore
I've had my 1.2 2007 seat ibiza for 2 years now and it's never caused any problems really, i could complain about the speed but then again you need you remember it's literally a low budget Volkswagen lol.. you kind of get what you pay for. If you want a super speedy car don't go for a cheap 10 year old value car.
How much revs do you give it to move off? I have a similar small car and its very slow off the mark unless i really use the accelerator pedal i.e between 1700 and 2000 revs compared to my moms car which is only 10 ccs bigger and easier to move off with less gas and similar age?!
I've a 2010 ibiza I've a leak and ita causing a damp patch right in the middle of the drivers footwell its coming in from behind the carpet around the pedals and ita starting to cause an odour an im wanting to know has anyone had the same problem an how did they fix it.. it's NOT the door seal it's ether the bulk head of under the scuttle panel
Cam G98 My guess is the door contact is done for. I had a faulty one in my Almera n15. All it took to replace it was a cross head screwdriver. Done in a couple of minutes. Or it could be something obvious as a defective lightbulp. ;)
Henrik Paulsen I'm sure it's something super simple, will have a look at the door contact like you said. Not the bulbs as they can all be turned on manually. VW said it would take a long time and I needed to re book it in for another time..! Thanks
the new Seat ibiza are extremely uglyyy this one looks great. And i agree with you on the low rmp with no power at full throttle. i fixed that problem by chiptuning the Ecu. The stock Ecu program really really suckss shity Volkswagen Ecu! The whole shity behavior of these Seat's are the shity Ecu program .
Mate, I have the same one but diesel. Totally agree with road noise and suspension.. those two are the worse for me.. but in love with the Ibiza, the diesel version 100hp has enough power for everything "I'm not talking about a drag" Peaceeeee!
I agree with the size and noise, but rest of your issues are mostly cuz your version, 2.0 sport version makes a diference in power, exhaust sound and ride height, I have a Cordoba sport 2.0, BTW, I need to try the depht steering adjustment as well jajaja
I would disagree with this video, bearing in mind it's an older one. I've got a 1.4 ibzia sport with the same facelift styling and it has no problem pulling it's own weight on the clutch with 130nm torque or with passengers, the back seat space is awful I do agree and the interior holds up really well for a 17 year old car, yeah it rattles about 20mph but for it's age I don't quite mind it it's just some character, they're fun little cars and I love them
JacobBilsonCars I have one, it's my second car and I have no regrets of buying it. I've had it remapped and lowered and I have new brakes to go on soon. Quick car for a second car.
What I also like about them is depending on how much you have to spend you can have a stage 1 remap to take them to around 175 or you can go all out and spend thousands to make them 350hp beasts
hard panels had nothing to do with sound insulation. ibiza tdi 130 is relatively quiet on about 120 km/h because engines doesn't revv a lot in 6th gear. petrol engines drone more because they lack power and they'are shorter-geared....
130 is quiet .. but find sdi and go for a test drive.. and than report back ... at 140 kmh (whey go get to that speed ) you think that engine will fallout ... its idioticly loud ... you cant even talk to passengers
130 is quiet at cruise, but not around the town. sdi is weak, so it has to have shorter top gear, hence a lot of diesel revvs....but, sdi is good, it will last very long, just it isn't made for high speed cruising, although it will stand those revvs very well
Really you think it's loud on the motorway? I had a 2007 Formula Sport and I found it super quiet (Very little wind noise and literally 0 exhaust drone). Maybe your tyres are loud? My friends 2014 Fiesta was louder than my old Ibiza. Also yeah the exhaust is silent but that engine is a bit of a gem to thrash and actually sounds pretty good 4,000rpm+!
Alex I have Ibiza 1.4 D 2008 and I can tell you I put 5 people in the car. No one complained about no space. They were fine. You say BMW or Merc...have you tried to knock on a Merc or BMW door or dash? It's plastic too. Okay so yours noisy. Is it petrol? Get a diesel. Perhaps your exhaust got whole on it. My 1.4 start pulling around 1.9-2K RPM and it's nice quite. And yes it does have an adjustable reach steering wheel. I wouldn't complain about the height of the car. You said it's a small car. If you put 4-5 people in it they've got weight. The car needs that height.
For sure man! It's all love though no worries, I love that little car. The noise is all road noise as the sound insulation is crap, but otherwise it is a fantastic car.For sure man! It's all love though no worries, I love that little car. The noise is all road noise as the sound insulation is crap, but otherwise it is a fantastic car.
oh god i was a fool to click on his video! i have a seat ibiza 1.9tdi 160bhp and 290ftlb of torque. I was offended when you said it wasn't very reactive as my small turbo is great!
Thank you! Yeah they look like great little cars, they're surprisingly hard to find online these days too, but very cheap when you do. If mine died I'd swap it for one definitely haha
Paynos Yes finding a unabashed/standard model are rare. The handling is rather twitchy also. Especially under full throttle. £2K should get you a nice one these days.
Lemme guess.... BBZ 1.4 16V 101 HP engine? That actually has LESS torque than the 85HP 1.4V one, and delivers it at higher RPM. OK for sporty driving, not so much for stop & go traffic. You really must learn to keep it revved up, almost like a motorcycle.
got a seat Ibiza 1.9TDI first car the things you said is half of my problems too but the most annoying one is the tire it runs out of air in 4 days what the hell i dont even understand if its the rims that cause it or the tire itself which is new by the way
2012 ibiza fr 1.2 tsi- hate how mine has no 6th gear, don't get me wrong it's more than capable on the motorway, my first long journey was from Bolton to Torquay and back, more or less 500 motorway miles and it was so easy, but a 6th gear would just make it even better. Also I don't like how high it rides, you think the older ibizas are tall? This is like a Seat Ateca 😂😂 apart from that I love it to bits and would 100% recommend it especially as a first car.
Finds out after 2 years he has an adjustable steering wheel
I got mine a month, thought the same as this guy. Glad I watched the video, will definitely adjust the steering more to my preference now.
HAS IT? I've owned mine for nearly five years and this is the first i've heard of it.
Bruhhh 😑as soon as i got mine i pulled it and it came out
3:57 😂😂 I've never creased so hard in my life
Mate I couldn't have planned that if I'd tried hahaha
I took a pill on Ibiza
aaaaayyyy
😂😂😂
"In"
Hey everyone, quick disclaimer! I think this little car is fantastic and a great buy for the money. It's served me really well for 2+ years. These are just the things that are bad about it :)
About being high: In my opinion they might have designed car a bit high because some of the countries they ship have bad road conditions. e.g. Turkey
Paynos, I don't mean to be rude but you are lucky you have a car at all
Your Ibiza is low specced-low trim, therefore it got hard plastics.
There were upper trim Ibizas with soft plastics and better quality materials inside the cabin.

Also I was about to type "hey, you can adjust the steering distance, but you figured it out! :)
Still Seats are nice litlle good looking cars
purplekero h
Your Ibiza: "No power, no power, no power, some power"
My Ibiza (FR, aprox. 205hp) "Some power, much power, more power, poooweeeer"
Hell yeah!!
90 horsepower is really high in a car like that, like that is really fast! I know people who will have 60hp cars as starters!
Michael Flatman I have seat ibiza 1.2 47kw (66HP).. But I gotta tell ya.. When you hit the gas you wont believe that it has 66 HP
i have an ibiza chill 1.4 from 2002 and it has 60bhp.... i suppose it only weighs 950 kg but still.. its kinda sluggish
I own a Ford crown Victoria which has a 4.6L V8 250hp with top speed 130mph. I live in the US tho. My car has a slow shifting 4 speed automatic.
Well i have ibiza 1.4 75HP xD
1.7t corsa
My favourite thing about this car is how heavy the doors are to close and the fact that the glove compartment doesn't have any side walls, so as soon as you start rummaging around to find something, everything just falls onto the floor
This video is by far the most happiest video ever!
I got mine a month, it has a LPG conversion on it which actually feels like it pulls a bit faster than on petrol. Was thinking about upping the brakes, tires and shocks/springs but I havev to say the gearbox is absolutely phenomenal.

I always thought the road noise was bad so at least I know that's not just me. I also find going over speed bumps relatively slow can be very harsh compared to my previous cars.
I think the 2.0 version with 130HP gives you the extra power punch you need for more fun!
That's why i went from the Ibiza 6j 1.2 (70hp) to the Seat Leon 5f 1.8 tsi (180hp). Much more room, comfort and actually fun to drive.
Owned one for 5 years. The standard ones aren't fast but very reliable! Hasn't let me down once in all those years!
1- It's classed as a supermini so it will be snug.
2- It's load because it small, it's worse In the 1.9 TDI believe me lol.
3- Small engine and petrol, get a better diesel engine ;)
4a- It says in the manual you can adjust the column.
4b- 1.4 engine, buy an exhaust kit.
5- Mod the suspension?
Diesel is for pussies that can't drive properly...
I have the same car and I have the same problems but I love it aswell
agree with all EXCEPT power! mine is 1.9TDI 96KW or 130BHP its lieke a bullet.. there is no lag between the power pedal and catching speed.. absolutely love it even now in 2023 I still have my 07plate Ibiza its now my fun car for weekends and until the diesel is baned I will keep maintaining it and having all this fun on roundabouts and traffic lights leaving unsuspecting racer boys behind love their facial expressions once they catch up lol
The 1.9tdi is a great little engine. I owned a 1.8t 20v of the same car after this one and it was a little rocketship too, lovely cars.
i love my mk4.. but the only thing i hate is the green algae that somehow builds up around the outer rim (inside) of the rear light clusters.... its not too obvious , but once you know its there its soo annoying!
I have a 2010 1.4 Ibiza sport, I completely agree with the road noise, most annoying thing about it although I have really low profile tyres and big wheels on it so I've always blamed that.

i had one of these, they great to drive cheap vw

Cheers mate!
I know the feeling mate. I got the 1.4 2004
You turn on the AC or lights the rpms drop
Why do people like sporty sounding exhausts on a hatchback? Never mind on a seat hatchback😩
2:52 bro try my 1.4 50hp 2004 Ibiza
Can't acelarate for shit
Got the 1.4 Sport 16v, love it to bits. Hit 124mph on the motorway no problem, Upgraded the sound system and all the speakers and chucked a sub in and sounds insane. Only issues I've had are my front bushes went and gear box bearings went which are a common fault with these cars but overall love the car done over 25,000 miles last year no issues and all mots come back no advisories!
Server World I had to replace the front wishbone bushings on mine too, bit of a pain in the ass but I do love mine too. It's quite quick for its type!
I have a red seat ibiza 1.4 from 2005 and the torque curve is really annoying. You get like no pull until you get to 2500 rpm.
Looking to buy one from my friend next month as my first car, seems like will have lot of fun on it,as its 1.9tdi remaped to 180hp and its small car
My dad has the same car with the 101 hp since 2003 with no problems at all!
You probably wont see this comment or reply to it, but I’ve got the 2019 model and I absolutely love it, not much sound dampening though.
Nice one, the new marks are properly nice cars
Paynos I have the Seat Ibiza XCELLENCE LUX 1.6 TDI 2019
ac killing all the power from the engine
Used to have one of those, it was a 1.4 like yours. I think it’s more like 75hp stock. Not the most powerful but still great fun. I had 2 12” subs in the back so I never noticed any road noise. 😂

also i have the 1.4 86bhp engine. engine is fine but clutch is weak
i own a cordobe (basicly ibiza but slightly longer ) and its got SDI engine
so i agree with what he said but my 5 things i hate:
1: noise (a lot of road noise, a lot of engine noise (sdi), and couse its high you get windnoise if you drive faster than 160kmh (100mph)
2:its not very confortable.. seats are not soft and springy enough and ride is very very hard especialy on lowprofile tyres (but at least its very good fun in the corner..but seats dont have nough side support)
3: SDI engine and gearbox... engine is too noisy and rev only to 4500rpm and transmision only has 5 speeds so maximum speed it can achive is only 185kph(115mph) but othervise very realible no problems what so ever and transmision feel is one of the best i ever driven..(if you are buying ibiza/ cordoba get 131 6 speed TDI ..way way better )
4: steering wheels ..yes it is adjusteble but if you are quaite tall and you want your legs streched the wheel is still too far in the dashboard
5: rear seat space ....you cant realy seat more than 4 like he said but those 2 in the back are actually going to become your seats lumbar support . (on the plus side the trunk is absulutly huge (even bigger than bmw 3 series)..offcoure cordoba, not ibiza

Hi, Good video... I have the same model, I think (1.2 .. 2008)... Do you find it quite wobbly in crosswinds on the motorway? Thanks
yes
5:26
Someone would know what the name of this factory rider is?
Have one too, only thing I hate is the cup holder. When it's out I'm forever catching my knuckles on it when changing gear. Plus it makes use of the radio impossible. But as you say, it's tiny in there so I suppose compromises had to be made.
I loved my Ibiza FR. Road noise was horrible. It had lots of wind noise over 100km/h speed. Front lights got foggy, etc.. but i still loved it.
Road noise is definitely bad in these man, good little cars but not without their quirks
Paynos Yeah. I blow my turbo so i let it go :D
I have a 1.2 12v version and the things I hate are its slow and 70mph it sits at 4000-4500 rpm but I'm getting a 1.9tdi 130pd soon so hopefully that's better
Yeah,the tdi 130,is fast
I had the 1.4 75ps... I did like it a lot, but it was S-L-O-W. I had to rev the nuts off it to even go anywhere. Yeah. I think I may update to the new model which is coming next year. My 2011 is still absolutely fine so should be ok for another year or two :)
I picked up my 2007 seat Ibiza 1.4 formula sport today in red. it looks absolutely amazing and is in amazing condition. it is the 1.4 98hp engine.
Still got mine! Fantastic little car that really takes a beating for its age
I have a 1,8t FR mk4 ibiza and i absolutly love it, stage 2 remap with about 200hp+ and 300nm+ :D
Just discovered your channel love your new cupra I have a 1.8t Ibiza FR and just love it :)
I actually have one and it actually is my first car but mine is a 1.4 with 75 HP, but it has about the same torque... My one isnt a fancy facelift model though, its a 2003... Paynos the speakers are good for standard sounds just as good or even better than my brothers Audi A3 2010. Got an alpine unit makes a difference

@@spinusebastian8538 unsstable at 120 kmh ??
I drove it over the Autobahn at constantly 160- to max.180 downhill it was stable enough
The engine was at his end but yeah ( i got the 75PS/HP version)
Man I feel the same about my Ibiza which only got 75HP and if you go uphill you really need to do a kickdown to even hold the speed -.- Replaced my build in radio and now the music sound level is just on point :D
Can you please do a POV drive for this car
He doesn't own it anymore. He has a Cupra now

The Supension hight here in Mexico is a plus😁 Nice video
Heko wind deflectors will help with some of the wind noise around the windows.
i have a seat ibiza fr from 2006 and i love it but i can agree about the road noise
Ian planning on buying a 1.2 2006 Ibiza. Is it a good choice for first car?
I'm looking for them aswell not bad price and insurance wise
Its a great car no investement for 5 years now, bought it with 180k km, has 240k now no problems
You just need to enjoy the small things....dont worry about cheap plastic...😎 its a great car!
Love your videos so much, so helpful and funny
Thank you! :D
i m thinking of buying a used seat ibiza 2008! There are 2 cars that i have seen! The first one is 75bhp 1.2 and the other one is facelift 70bhp! Both of them are 2008 date. Which one should i buy??
The biting point is totally undectcable in my car
Passed my theory test, now need driving test done
one thing that bugs me about my car is that i dont have one :'( the amount i would pay or the amount of people i would kill for a car just to chill out in and go on journeys with is like infinite
You'll get there bro don't worry! I know that exact feeling and it will come around sooner than you think :)
I have a 2004 Ibiza, to beat the road noise I upgrade the front speakers, head unit, tweeters and added two 10-inch subwoofers.... After all that the road noise doesn't even exist anymore
Renault Clio mk3 (3dr) door handles located near the hinge makes door closing difficult and door handle breakages very common ☹️
cheers mate just bought an audi and nan fell down stairs
The powers like my dads 1.2 jazz xD. Now power at the low end and if your in 4th and up better hope the road doesn't get steeper than dead level xD
What about the fuel is it good money wise the mpg
Nice Video Mate!
Thank you! :D
2011 Polo, Interior lights don't work when I open the door... so have no idea what I'm doing when I get in the car in the dark. And VW won't fix it.
Thanks
I love my seat but 3 things that annoys me is it's terrible suspension, hard brittle finger aching plastic and finally it's seats
Have you driven a fiesta? I'm trying to decide between the two and want the more fun lighter one.
The fiesta is the better choice.
How do you open the boot of the car if the key doesn't work?
the new Seat ibiza are extremely uglyyy this one looks great.
Totally agree with road noise and suspension.. those two are the worse for me.. but in love with the Ibiza, the diesel version 100hp has enough power for everything "I'm not talking about a drag"
Peaceeeee!
Yeah man love my little car too! 100hp is definitely quite fun in that size of car, had my fair share too haha.
I agree with the size and noise, but rest of your issues are mostly cuz your version, 2.0 sport version makes a diference in power, exhaust sound and ride height, I have a Cordoba sport 2.0, BTW, I need to try the depht steering adjustment as well jajaja
Im buying a 2007 seat ibiza 1.2 do you recommend?
Very funny video btw! Lol thanks
I would disagree with this video, bearing in mind it's an older one. I've got a 1.4 ibzia sport with the same facelift styling and it has no problem pulling it's own weight on the clutch with 130nm torque or with passengers, the back seat space is awful I do agree and the interior holds up really well for a 17 year old car, yeah it rattles about 20mph but for it's age I don't quite mind it it's just some character, they're fun little cars and I love them
wot engine is it wot size
roni size
I have a fr version with 150hp
Its fucking awesome in this little car
1.8t
I hate that my Ford crown Victoria has a slow shifting 4 speed automatic.
Fella ur absolutely bang on great input no fuckin about
Looking to get the FR PD130 in April, what would you think from your experience?
They're great little cars for the age! Definitely worth if you can get a good deal :)
JacobBilsonCars I have one, it's my second car and I have no regrets of buying it. I've had it remapped and lowered and I have new brakes to go on soon. Quick car for a second car.
Awesome, cheers Dafydd! Aha, I've already got plans Darkside Developments and get it mapped :P
What I also like about them is depending on how much you have to spend you can have a stage 1 remap to take them to around 175 or you can go all out and spend thousands to make them 350hp beasts
Now selling my 2007 1.8 t fr. sorts out most of the problems. 150bhp 163 ftlb torque
Sean but a lot more expensive to run better off with a diesel
hard panels had nothing to do with sound insulation. ibiza tdi 130 is relatively quiet on about 120 km/h because engines doesn't revv a lot in 6th gear. petrol engines drone more because they lack power and they'are shorter-geared....
130 is quiet .. but find sdi and go for a test drive.. and than report back ... at 140 kmh (whey go get to that speed ) you think that engine will fallout ... its idioticly loud ... you cant even talk to passengers
130 is quiet at cruise, but not around the town. sdi is weak, so it has to have shorter top gear, hence a lot of diesel revvs....but, sdi is good, it will last very long, just it isn't made for high speed cruising, although it will stand those revvs very well
Yes i know it will last .. i allready have 300k km (165k miles) and its running better than my mums 2009 passat tdi ...i had no problem what so ever
the engine is ok for trips ranging 10-50 km
I have the same issues as you except power since I have a different engine
oh god i was a fool to click on his video!
i have a seat ibiza 1.9tdi 160bhp and 290ftlb of torque. I was offended when you said it wasn't very reactive as my small turbo is great!
They're great cars man, the engine you've got in yours is a lot more powerful than this one!
How many miles did it have when you bought it? Keep up the great videos
39k! Thank you :)
1 more thing i hate about your seat ibiza is your wheel on the right side
Great video. You should try the 1.8T FR. Good engine with 150 BHP. Cheap to buy now also.
Thank you! Yeah they look like great little cars, they're surprisingly hard to find online these days too, but very cheap when you do. If mine died I'd swap it for one definitely haha
Paynos Yes finding a unabashed/standard model are rare. The handling is rather twitchy also. Especially under full throttle. £2K should get you a nice one these days.
the problem with my car is i do not have it
You'll get there soon man!
What year is that car
My CD player is in glovebox I've got a vw polo
Why is the rear seatbelt always fastened in your videos? I've noticed it in quite a few videos so... Why?
mot testers often leave them like that, could be that
which exactly model of Ibiza is this one?
This is an 06 DAB Special Edition :) 1.4 16v engine.
Paynos thank you very much bro
God I’m getting the 1.2 so I’m expecting 0-60 times of about 3 years!
Lemme guess.... BBZ 1.4 16V 101 HP engine? That actually has LESS torque than the 85HP 1.4V one, and delivers it at higher RPM. OK for sporty driving, not so much for stop & go traffic. You really must learn to keep it revved up, almost like a motorcycle.
got a seat Ibiza 1.9TDI first car the things you said is half of my problems too but the most annoying one is the tire it runs out of air in 4 days what the hell i dont even understand if its the rims that cause it or the tire itself which is new by the way
Not had that problem with mine, get your rims checked out if you can. They might need repairing :)
Paynos ill try that thank you what rims have you got? i might just need to get myself a new pair or hopefully undamaged ones
Ernie_L.A they're just the stock "sportrider" 16" rims man. Might be able to find yourself some clean used ones on eBay!
Paynos I'll try that yeah thanks for the help in return you get a Sub :)
No worries man! Cheers :D
Well it seems like you bought the wrong edition!!! You have the SPORT but maybe the STYLANCE would be more suitable to your liking!!!
This is like a Seat Ateca 😂😂 apart from that I love it to bits and would 100% recommend it especially as a first car.
mate get a cupra if ya want power
Got some plans for that ;)
Fair play mate I've got a seat Leon cupra and love it bud
YESSSSS
James Wells amazing car mate ;)
my car is a 08 vw polo and it fucking sits too high feel like im driving a scania truck
Hahaha good little car though!
