I am so glad I came across your tutorial! Looked at many "crunch" stitch tutorials. Yours easily hit it out of the park for clarity and BONUS-written instructions to accompany stitch pattern. Thank you! New subbie!
Pretty stitch TFS! Positive Healing Vibes and prayers for everyone in Ian's path! You can hear those tropical storm weather outside our place. Be safe💕🐞 Namaste 🥰
At first I wasn’t completely enjoying working this stitch coz I’m not used to using slip stitch but as u keep going it feels vey meditative and I grew to enjoy it
I love texture too. I love it for pillows, floor poofs, some blankets, and make pretty sweaters and scarves. The only things I can crochet right now are blankets and scarves 😉😄
Tiffany you are amazing I love this so textured I will make a scarf and a blanket with it .I love the stitch series.thanks so much.blessings from Ireland.🍀🍀🍀
I love this easy stitch! The stitch is textured so it’s not going to lose its shape when wet. I’m going to make some washcloths and a baby blanket as well! Thank you!
Wow my sweet Tiffany, thank you for this easy and amazing textured stitch! I’m definitely going to make some cloths for my daughters new home ! Thank you 🙏 so much for being such an amazing and inspirational teacher! You are just amazing and I appreciate all the hard work you put in to that videos/ tutorials to help us create beautiful things and keeping us motivated in this amazing craft ! Just amazing! Thank you a million times thank you! Bless you my sweet friend! 💙💙💙🥰🥰😘😘😘
Oh I'm so happy that you shared this. I'm gonna be making my 6 sisters some washcloths and this looks so much more durable that the single crochet!! I hope that I can make it work!!😆 Thanks again Tiffany!!
Tiffany this stitch is my bugaboo…I never know where the “v” is with hbl….add the fact that I have difficulty counting. Long story but car accident left me with issues….I want to do your temp blanket but struggling with January.
Totally get it Susan. There are some crochet stitches that are just a little more tricky to work up than others. If you would like to attempt the Temperature Blanket you can always substitute out stitches for ones that are more challenging. For example, you can substitute the crunch stitch with a single crochet stitch, and a Dc stitch for the Bead Stitch and the 3 Dc Fan stitch. That way you are staying on track height wise with the project. 😊❤️🧶
actually I started a blanket using this stitch because I was trying to do your temperature blanket, but lost track of time of course.... to make it simpler than the sampler but not completely the same all over, what stitch do you think might alternate best with this? (I'm also using ombre yarn so I feel like something as simple as a row or two of hdcs for every 6 rows of the crunch, something like that would be cool?). I know you are a busy gal haha but if you have any recommendations for a novice I'd be so grateful. either way I am grateful haha thank you
I was just going to recommend that! Honestly, repeating one section of crunch stitch to one section of Hdc stitches or Sc stitches and then repeating that over and over until you reach the blanket desired length would be really pretty! AND it wouldn't affect your stitch count. Please keep me updated on how it goes. 😊❤️🧶
Hi tiffany hansen right now I am working on my cottage core mosaic blanket and granny squares and I love your channel and your videos and if you keep making videos I will keep watching them and what is your favorite crochet project to work on right now and favorite type of yarn to used when crocheting
Love your videos! So clear and precise. I have not used the Crunch Stitch YET but I do use the Even Moss Stitch quite a bit, which is similar to the crunch stitch. 👍❤️
Hi Tiffany, I love your channel, you’re an awesome teacher. I wanted your input, do you think just using 1, would be good enough to be used as a “hot pad”, or should it doubled? I’m using Cotton yarn. Thank you 😊
Hi Patricia! I doubled up mine for my pot holder just to be safe. And then I made a Sc border around the two joined squares to make it look pretty. Great question! I love my pot holders using this stitch! I hope you do too! 😊🧶🧡
Great question Andrea. For wash-clothes and towels I do recommend either 100% cotton OR a cotton blend because cotton is so absorbent and works great with water. I use a lot of size 4 weight for my washclothes but I find I like working with size 3 weight cotton more. The friction is more manageable. But regular size 4 weight cotton is pretty great! 😊🧶❤️
Absolutely Loretta! This stitch will actually work with ANY size yarn. Love that about it. A size 3 will be very flattering with this stitch. Hope you have fun making whatever it is you are making! 😊🧶❤️
Great question Jayne! Because this stitch is so highly textured I would want to make the border very plain. By doing that you will be bringing a lot of attention to the detail on the inside of the blanket. So honestly a very basic Sc border or Hdc border would compliment this blanket very well. On a side note, I used this Crunch stitch to make my Popsicle Baby Blanket or the Summer Time Blanket on my channel. I also made a border to go around that blanket if you would like to see what I used. 😊 CLICK HERE: ruclips.net/video/z4X_915Pvoo/видео.html
Sorry but are you working in back loops or front loops I'm trying to see what your needles doing and I can't really tell and I go to say slip stitch on top of a half double crochet and then end up with a tiny tiny tiny little place to slip stitch it's confusing me to pieces I have made my gauge all day.
Hi Sandra. Hmm, I wonder if you would be able to watch my video on a larger screen if that would help enlarge everything I am doing so you can see it better? I am working under BOTH loops of each stitch. It might look different from the angle in the video but if you turn your work so you can see the V stitches on the top, you will want to place your crochet hook under both loops of every V across the row. I hope this helps! 😊🧡🧶
@@CrochetWithTiffany Thank you so much. I worked all day yesterday and still can't make the swatch work. I want to get started and I am going to do the size you have (thank you so much for doing all the figuring out) I am scared I will push myself into a seizure.
Nope, only skipping that first stitch space and the only reason we are skipping that stitch space is because the chain 2 counts as our first Hdc stitch and will take that first stitch space. 😊🧶🧡

Nope, only skipping that first stitch space and the only reason we are skipping that stitch space is because the chain 2 counts as our first Hdc stitch and will take that first stitch space. 😊🧶🧡
