    Tiffany this stitch is my bugaboo…I never know where the “v” is with hbl….add the fact that I have difficulty counting. Long story but car accident left me with issues….I want to do your temp blanket but struggling with January.

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  Год назад +1

      Totally get it Susan. There are some crochet stitches that are just a little more tricky to work up than others. If you would like to attempt the Temperature Blanket you can always substitute out stitches for ones that are more challenging. For example, you can substitute the crunch stitch with a single crochet stitch, and a Dc stitch for the Bead Stitch and the 3 Dc Fan stitch. That way you are staying on track height wise with the project. 😊❤️🧶

      actually I started a blanket using this stitch because I was trying to do your temperature blanket, but lost track of time of course.... to make it simpler than the sampler but not completely the same all over, what stitch do you think might alternate best with this? (I'm also using ombre yarn so I feel like something as simple as a row or two of hdcs for every 6 rows of the crunch, something like that would be cool?). I know you are a busy gal haha but if you have any recommendations for a novice I'd be so grateful. either way I am grateful haha thank you

      I was just going to recommend that! Honestly, repeating one section of crunch stitch to one section of Hdc stitches or Sc stitches and then repeating that over and over until you reach the blanket desired length would be really pretty! AND it wouldn't affect your stitch count. Please keep me updated on how it goes. 😊❤️🧶

    Hi Tiffany, I love your channel, you’re an awesome teacher. I wanted your input, do you think just using 1, would be good enough to be used as a “hot pad”, or should it doubled? I’m using Cotton yarn. Thank you 😊

    Hi Tiffany!
    Do you use cotton yarn for your dishcloths and towels or a medium 4 weight? Sometimes I struggle with the cotton yarn.

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  2 года назад

      Great question Andrea. For wash-clothes and towels I do recommend either 100% cotton OR a cotton blend because cotton is so absorbent and works great with water. I use a lot of size 4 weight for my washclothes but I find I like working with size 3 weight cotton more. The friction is more manageable. But regular size 4 weight cotton is pretty great! 😊🧶❤️

    what border do you recommend for the crunch

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  2 года назад +1

      Great question Jayne! Because this stitch is so highly textured I would want to make the border very plain. By doing that you will be bringing a lot of attention to the detail on the inside of the blanket. So honestly a very basic Sc border or Hdc border would compliment this blanket very well.
      On a side note, I used this Crunch stitch to make my Popsicle Baby Blanket or the Summer Time Blanket on my channel. I also made a border to go around that blanket if you would like to see what I used. 😊

    Sorry but are you working in back loops or front loops I'm trying to see what your needles doing and I can't really tell and I go to say slip stitch on top of a half double crochet and then end up with a tiny tiny tiny little place to slip stitch it's confusing me to pieces I have made my gauge all day.

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  Год назад

      Hi Sandra. Hmm, I wonder if you would be able to watch my video on a larger screen if that would help enlarge everything I am doing so you can see it better? I am working under BOTH loops of each stitch. It might look different from the angle in the video but if you turn your work so you can see the V stitches on the top, you will want to place your crochet hook under both loops of every V across the row.
      I hope this helps! 😊🧡🧶

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  Год назад

      Nope, only skipping that first stitch space and the only reason we are skipping that stitch space is because the chain 2 counts as our first Hdc stitch and will take that first stitch space. 😊🧶🧡
