Woman after my heart with her abstracts and sea worlds, textures combined. Great to sit back and daydream with. Enjoyed watching how she puts it all together and I’m also using an iPad along with Cintiq tablets to test the waters so to speak. If one thing works out well it can be worked with back and forth to make new compositions. Bravo! We are fortunate to be artists in this era of modern options.

Basically taking a digital painting and transferring it to canvas. Beautiful work

Doug G hi Doug. Sort of. I’m not very good on the app - very rudimentary, but I use it like a sketch pad to draw thumb nails, and get composition ideas and test colours. Some people do amazing paintings on these type of apps and I am no where near there calibre haha.

Love her ocean paintings. Living in Northern Canada I don’t get to see the ocean often.

Bonnie O'donnell Thanks Bonnie. I have always lived near the coast myself, and when we looked for a new home recently (we moved to the country) we ended up on a lake! Just had to have the water around us lol

Great interview!! I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you Madeline and you work is amazing. I can understand your desire to paint in the loose style and the subject of undersea is just gorgeous! Thank you and Graeme😀👏👏👏

Hi everyone. This is the link to the app I used. I think it may be iPhone only but there are plenty of others out there. I just found this one was easy to use and not too complicated. Have fun. Art Set - Pro Edition by LOFOPI

Awesome technique. What was the app called?

kawaiistop Hi kawaiistop. The app is called Artset Pro (I think it is iPhone only) but there are plenty of drawing painting apps out there. I just kept coming back to this one for ease of use. I didn’t want anything too complicated. After using the free version for a year or so, I upgraded it to the pro version, for not a lot of $s - worth every cent, I use it pretty well much in place of a sketch book

I see shapes of fish just by what shes done (6:02) left and right. Happy Accidents. I don't know if she's noticed that at this moment, will see....

Caroline Ullrich Hi Caroline - no I never noticed the fish, but that’s what’s great about abstraction* - your brain wants to make sense out of chaos. Thank you for watching
