The implicit method of the first order is considered for the discretization of time derivatives in the fluid equations
OR
The implicit scheme is for spatial and not transient derivatives

So explicit is used in CFD while implicit is used in mathematical modelling, is this correct? Where would we use implicit method in real life?

See, they are just 2 ways of solving equations, both CFD and mathematical modelling can be done either way.

@@Knowledge_Engineering thank you. If CFD applies to both methods, then implicit is used when you're looking at a problem over time - to ensure mathematical stability. Explicit is used when you are not concerned with accuracy over time, but want a fast solution. Is this correct?
